Reporting on extremism and whabbist is a good thing. The last thing to do is to let it foster.
Hail free speech and the right of journalism.
This news story seems really really fishy.
Here is an article about this same thing from the guardian a month ago that says is possibly a hoax.
http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/mar/13/alleged-islamic-plot-birmingham-schools-possible-hoax
Reading the article it suggests it could have been, then goes on to detail a large amount of complaints against the school itself and how it has been under investigation for some time.
I wouldn't say it's a hoax. There's been much worse to come out.
[editline]19th April 2014[/editline]
Here's the BBC reporting on it. It's not just an only guardian thing. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-birmingham-27020970
I think the guy worded it wrong. I think he meant that you shouldn't be protected by the rights to faith if you're attacking other peoples rights. Your 'Faith' isn't an excuse to be an asshole.
Yeah I worded it wrong, my bad.

I mean obviously its still being looked into, but there seems like there are some big doubts about this being genuine if some officals are saying its "probably a fake".
It also says that the report won't be finished until july with an interim report in may.
It seems really sensationalist however to report this though as if its 100% fact now if the investigation isn't done. For example, the title "State schools isolate non-muslims" really leaves no other conclusion to lead to.

Never said anything about human rights being taken away. I'm saying they should be treated equally, not different because of their faith.
Seriously, look up some of their protests, then look up EDL or UKIP protests. They're not charged with hatecrimes when they're actively promoting hatred and calling for death.
Wow that video is absolutely appaling.
And it goes into the fact that the school in fact was doing that. It states it in the title as a thesis and explains how and why it's happening.
Stop projecting or come up with evidence that proves Telegraph's anti-muslimness.
I'm sorry. I've just been a bit ragey about it recently, since all I've heard the last few days from people is Muslims do this, Muslims do that, Muslims ruin everything, blah blah blah, as if it's the only religion that's ever done anything wrong. I understand that this school is a major problem, but I just didn't like how the headline talked about it being some nationwide thing. It just seems like the UK has a major problem with anything to do with Islam, and it's pissing me off. They're not any worse than any other religion, it's just that the extremists get far more screen time.
And it goes into the fact that the school in fact was doing that. It states it in the title as a thesis and explains how and why it's happening.
The telegraph talks about a "leaked" report document that says that, which I can't find another reference to except from the telegraph.
Why didn't they put up a copy of this leaked document?
Unless I missed a link to it somewhere.

Will the real Sheik Shady please teach bigotry, please teach bigotry, please teach bigotry
When we attempt to extradite people who preach hate they play the 'I'll be tortured in my home country card' and the EU steps in and halts it because of human rights.
To be honest if you actively preach hate/death you shouldn't have that luxury of human rights.
We managed to get rid of that one guy though after 10 years by not listening to the EU at all, the one thing Theresa May has done in office so far.
Not sure if you're referring to Anjem Choudary as the post you quoted was, but he's British so deportation is irrelevant
Also we never ignored the EU as far as I know, if you're referring to Abu Qatada we got rid of him by making Jordan sign a treaty saying they wouldn't use evidence obtained under torture against him
Clearly, we are left with only a single option now:

Holy shit those people are just as bad as the EDL morons.
like what the fuck is up with this whole " British police!" and " our women!" crap? so what the fact you believe in a certain religion suddenly makes you different from every other British person?, that genuinely is the same noise the tracksuit avengers of the EDL are trying to slap on muslims wtf
What is with European countries and being fucking passive about Extremist teachings?
Like holy shit, muslims get away with the most hilarious shit in the UK. If I held a protest calling for deaths in the street, i'd be hauled away by the police, not given an escort.

pfft, if that happened here in american texas, that man would of been lynched. it doesnt help that mosques around here happen to always catch on fire with 'accidents'

It's true though, the big organised religions were made when we had no real understanding of the world and were not made popular because people wanted to be a part of them but were pushed by mass slaughter and proselytising
He didn't fling shit, he stated a fact, you just don't like what you're hearing

How insecure in their faith does someone have to be that they feel the need to vehemently defend it with vitriol every time it gets mentioned in a thread
I can't believe they invited an extremist preacher that is fine with stoning lgbt people, and fucking sympathizes with Al-Qaeda, and they let him talk to children.

We shouldn't be judgemental towards the values of other cultures and faiths.
Funny how people who believe in tolerance end up supporting the least tolerant.

Thank Hitler for that. At least in germany. If we try to deport people out of germany, we fear we will be called Nazis. I mean, we are already getting called Nazis just for trying to do health checks on Kebab stands. Imagine how bad it will be if we deport people because of their crimes and religious views.
Remember when Switzerland had its vote on limiting immigration into the country? All members of the EU were pissed off about their decision to curb immigration.
The members of the EU can piss off on that. Switzerland is neutral and not in the EU.

Indifference to bigotry because of tolerence is honestly worse than not knowing. Because you're aware it exists and let it continue.

That was his point though and it's completely true. Maybe YOU should try and make a point once in a while rather than pulling the hurt feelings and religion cards.

I really don't understand how the fedora pun is even considered as an argument to some people, lol.
why is the UK bending over backwards for muslims
We should combat this by randomising Ofsted inspections rather than schools having days to prepare the perfect lessons, and also offer rewards to students who whistleblow about this kind of shit.
Then fire the teachers doing this and ban them from holding any teaching position in the UK.
why is the UK bending over backwards for muslims
For example?
why is the UK bending over backwards for muslims
Because we fear them.
That video on the last page has completely changed my view of Muslims. I thought they were OK as long as they weren't pulling any shit like that. Turns out they are. "UK GO TO HELL" why the fuck come here? "UK POLICE TERRORIST EXTREMISTS" oh wow it makes me SO FUCKING ANGRY
