No, it's common sense. How many more innocent people have to be murdered in Europe before you realize there is a problem?
what the fuck do you mean "common sense"
even if you banned people from moslem nations it would hardly dent the figures. the vast majority american terrorists are domestic terrorists who were born and raised there
like by his criteria of banning them from "moslem countries" this would include albania, morroco, indonesia, and bosnia
Banning attackers from a certain country might be sensible depending on the circumstances. What you want is to ban an entire religion. Even forgoing the moral arguments, how would such a policy even be enforced?
[editline]31st July 2016[/editline]
how can they do as they please in the US if they can't get into the US. are you reading your own posts.
also the scary part isn't the ban, it's what happens after we institute such a ban and it fails to stop a terrorist attack. what will people do next?
Muslims, Europeans, Meixcans, Chiense, everyone who is not a US citizen is NOT the responsibility of the US government and they have NO rights or entitlements to any freedom that is reserved for US citizens.
I can't simply immigrate to any country that I choose. Why should everyone have the right to immigrate here?
Which is what his latest proposal is
No it isn't. He was even asked if it was a rollback and explicitly stated that it was an expansion. He hasn't outright stated that he isn't still for a ban on Muslims in general.
I interpret it more to him believing a Muslim ban would mostly effect North African/Middle East countries then realizing that European countries have a decent amount of Muslims in them as well that are in danger of becoming radicalized.

Look at the ratios of Muslims living in the United States vs Muslims living in France.

I never made the argument about having the rights to move here, I asked how his policy would be enforced, and I pointed out the mental somersault that is saying Muslims can do as they please in the US while supporting a policy that wouldn't even let them inside the US.
Look at the ratios of Muslims living in the United States vs Muslims living in France.
Look at the ratio of guns owned in the United States and gun crimes in the United States vs guns owned in France and gun crimes in France - you'll see the United States as a lot more gun crime and the highest rate of gun ownership in the world.
But guess what. Correlation does not imply causlatation. Unless you're willing to admit the high amoutn of guns in the states contributes to gun crime?

We have plenty of Muslims already living the US, and their freedoms wouldn't be effected. You simply ban refuse entry of people with passports from countries that are deemed a risk.
If Americans were constantly killing people overseas I would agree with you.
:Ahem: Afghanistan :Ahem:

You think by electing Trump the bigoted xenophobic racists won't start discriminating blacks and muslims?
[editline]31st July 2016[/editline]
Trump himself discriminates blacks, what do you think will happen

Look what happened right after the brexit vote, the sharp increase in racial attacks. It will happen again here

"Trump himself discriminates blacks" That's a pretty bold statement to say without any factual evidence. Where do you guys come up with this stuff?
:Ahem: Afghanistan :Ahem:
I'm generally curious to what kind of point you're trying to make. Yes people have been killed in Afghanistan, what is your point?

Let me quote him:
“Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.”

Literally the first page
“Laziness is a trait in the blacks. ... Black guys counting my money! I hate it.”
There's also that whole thing where Trump didn't want there to be any black contestants on The Apprentice.

I fail to see how rights of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness have anything to do with immigration rights.

A human being is free to pursue happiness. If happines lies within US borders, should he be denied access because some shooters allegedly share his religion?

That's a second hand quote. But nice try.

Are you actually arguing for open borders?
Look at the ratios of Muslims living in the United States vs Muslims living in France.
what point are you trying to prove
what good will it do by banning people from indonesia or bosnia from coming to america
That's a second hand quote. But nice try.

n 1989, he told Bryant Gumbel in an interview, “A well-educated black has a tremendous advantage over a well-educated white in terms of the job market…if I was starting off today, I would love to be a well-educated black, because I really do believe they have the actual advantage today. “
is this racist enough for you?
i still think he's better than hillary but this is just fucking appalling, inbred southern hicks show more respect the military more than him

good to know a country of 22.85 million people are all terrorists. You would have a point if we were at war with syria.
is this racist enough for you?
Is that your idea of racism? It's actually not racist enough for me. It's more of a bad opinion than racism.
I'm guessing that all the mountains of corpses created and destruction from invasions and bombing campaigns in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Pakistan, Kosovo, Serbia, Libya, Grenada, Panama, and Vietnam were committed by monsters and machines of alien origin, and that Americans should in no way be responsible or punished for deaths of millions of people by barring entry of US citizens into the rest of the world, or in any other way in an attempt to curb a threat to people's livelihood and internal affairs?
good to know a country of 22.85 million people are all terrorists. You would have a point if we were at war with syria.
Nowhere did I say every Muslim is a terrorist, nor did Donald, nor did any person ever.
No it isn't. He was even asked if it was a rollback and explicitly stated that it was an expansion. He hasn't outright stated that he isn't still for a ban on Muslims in general.
His current stance is to deny Muslims from states with heavy terrorism. Iraq, Syria, and Libya would probably be banned. Muslims from Turkey, Jordan, France, UK, Malaysia etc etc are free to immigrate.
And even then, its a temporary ban until we can establish a better system to screen people coming here.
Is that your idea of racism? It's actually not racist enough for me. It's more of a bad opinion than racism.
I don't want to enter this shitstorm of a thread but it's funny that the racist(?) quote involves him wanting to be black.
I'm guessing that all the mountains of corpses created and destruction from invasions and bombing campaigns in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Pakistan, Kosovo, Serbia, Libya, Grenada, Panama, and Vietnam were committed by monsters and machines of alien origin, and that Americans should in no way be responsible or punished for deaths of millions of people by barring entry of US citizens into the rest of the world?
What are you even saying? Mountains of corpses? Please
I think it's funny how Trump supporters pass off dead and tortured people like "Welp, sucks to be them."

He hasn't said that though, why do you think that is his current stance?
Whether or not he says it's a temporary ban is meaningless when we don't know how long the ban will be in place for or what aspects of the system need to be improved.
