You realize that American meddling during the cold war directly lead to many of the current problems in the Middle East, right?
That's only part of the reason of Middle Eastern problems.
And US isn't alone in share of guilt in it, nor with the biggest share either.
Washington D.C. is run by terrorists, huehue.
Huh. Wasn't aware that those countries were terrorist states with terrorists running rampant killing, raping, enslaving women, and making millions a day off oil. Strange.
but by your logic, i say terrorist heavy is any location that has more than 1 terrorist attacks in 5 years. so ban them.
now you see how dangerous vague terms are when confronting rights and policies.
That's only part of the reason of Middle Eastern problems.

Doesn't matter, everyone should pay their share
Don't dismiss US responsibility because "other countries did it too!"
Which is what his latest proposal is
His latest proposal is immediately suspending immigration from "compromised territories" (namely France and Germany) until some extremely vague extended vetting process is set up and proven to work.
EDIT:
DONALD TRUMP:
We must immediately suspend immigration from any nation that has been compromised by terrorism until such time as proven vetting mechanisms have been put in place.
CHUCK TODD:
--would this limit immigration from France?
DONALD TRUMP:
What we're going to have is a thing called--
CHUCK TODD:
They've been compromised by terrorism.
DONALD TRUMP:
They have totally been.

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending the best. They're not sending you, they're sending people that have lots of problems and they're bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. ... And some, I assume, are good people"
"The wall will go up and Mexico will start behaving"
If I recall correctly that quote was directed and the traffickers, not the illegal immigrants themselves.
And he's not entirely wrong. I lived a few hours away from the border for most of my life and I know the types of people that pass through.

and i know plenty of illegals here that are amazing workers and the nicest people you'll meet. its racist to claim almost all of them are criminals and should all be deemed as such.
and i know plenty of illegals here that are amazing workers and the nicest people you'll meet. its racist to claim almost all of them are criminals and should all be deemed as such.
You missed the point where he was referring to the people transporting the illegal immigrants. Yes, a lot of illegal immigrants are nice people.
If I recall correctly that quote was directed and the traffickers, not the illegal immigrants themselves.
????
the quote is right there and that's not what it's saying
I didn't say 'if they aren't American citizens, sucks to be them!'. It's actually kind of tiring being quoted like that. I can only imagine how it feels to be an actual politician.
You didn't provide any facts. You provided a second hand quote, which isn't proof of anything. I want to see facts and by facts I mean real quotes that are on the record and recorded that show proof of actual discrimination or racism.
How much more proof can we put in front of you before you acknowledge that maybe your glorious leader might be racist trash?
He was big on the claim that Obama wasn't a natural born citizen of the USA and kept pushing it time and again despite all the proof to the contrary.
He then went on to say that Obama wasn't smart enough to have been an actual Harvard/Columbia student.
2010 was when he put up his statement about the Ground Zero mosque and the proposed Muslim community there - he called it insensitive, proposed to buy it out, and then on David Letterman's Tonight Show, went on record to say that "muslims are blowing us up and doing bad stuff."
He violently opposed a competing casino run by a Native American tribe by running ads that showed "proof" that the tribe had a history of criminal involvement.
He fired a black contestant on his show The Apprentice because 'he was overeducated and hadn't done anything.'
this is one of a number of gaffes that have left his mouth over the long years of his life, and many more have been quoted in this thread. I don't care if he speaks his mind and is bold enough to do so, I care for the reason that only a thoughtless idiot will speak their minds without measuring their words.
One or two of these things could be dismissed, but when you have this many of these instances of bigotry and racism, that should be enough to damn Pope Francis.
Please quote the part of the constitution where it is states that the United States has to take in refugees. Also quote the part where immigration into the country is a right for every person on earth
It's not. The suffering of people in war torn countries is not the problem of the United States. Countries are not altruistic entities.

CHUCK TODD:
So France, Germany, Spain--
DONALD TRUMP:
Here's my plan--
CHUCK TODD:
--places that have been compromised?
DONALD TRUMP:
--here is what I want: Extreme vetting. Tough word. Extreme vetting.
CHUCK TODD:
What does that look like?
DONALD TRUMP:
Tough. We're going to have tough standards. And if a person can't prove--
CHUCK TODD:
Give me one.
DONALD TRUMP:
--that they're from an area, and if a person can't prove what they have to be able to prove, they're not coming into this country. And I would stop the Syrian migration and the Syrian from coming into this country in two seconds.
?
Sounds pretty straight forward.
You missed the point where he was referring to the people transporting the illegal immigrants. Yes, a lot of illegal immigrants are nice people.
because they fucking want to be here, whats the difference if someone drops them off compared to them trekking alone. The traffickers are not the ones staying and don't matter in the total equation. hes literally saying they are mostly criminals or drug dealers when that has no real proof other than his racial thoughts..
Ya'll wasting your time arguing what that idiot.
like do you think the mexican government is just shoveling people into trucks and dumping them across the border, and the illegals there just walk to america and work for no fucking reason, not even question the fuck is going on?
how asinine can you be.
?
Sounds pretty straight forward.
How so? They can prove "that they're from an area" with their passport, which they do already. "if a person can't prove what they have to be able to prove" could mean anything you want it to be. There's no way to know how this vetting process would work or what it would try to detect.
By the way, the majority of attacks on French soil were committed by French citizens. Checking your country of origin does nothing.

Please provide the full context then. You claim it's not, therefore burden is on you to prove it.

Imagine actually being this arrogant. The guy lost his fucking son. He has every right to say what he did and everything he said was right. Who the fuck are you to try belittling him?
Trump supporters really seem to think death is something you can just walk off.

Trump supporters really have no problem shitting on the military it seems

hey dude
guess what country was involved in unstabilizing the middle east and creating these beasts over there for the last decades?
people like to say social studies is boring or useless, but people like razzum is proof we need it more prevalent in our education
Doesn't matter, everyone should pay their share

I'm not dismissing US responsibility, I'm criticizing people for making US exclusively or mostly responsible.
Trump supporters really seem to think death is something you can just walk off.
well the GOP thought that you could just walk off poverty and college debt as well so its not that much of a big step

As a history major who has to talk to people who don't understand why we have the problems we have, find out that they didn't take a advanced history class or thought history is boring, then I find out that said person is a clueless voter, I agree completely.
Ugh what an idiot! Let's continue to perpetuate baseless bullshit and call it good enough to be facts!
Trump supporters appear to be lacking some fundamental thing that most normal humans seem to have... The capacity to detect irony. You just smashed the meter.
Congratulations are in order. I didn't think there were other people on FP who could reach the same heights of insanity orgornot did. But the cult of Trump should not be underestimated, I guess. Just like your fearless leader, facts and reality hold no sway over your views.

Do you have to blindly defend trump literally being i gigantic racist and absolutely toxic person?
Is it racist now to point out the fact that women aren't treated as equals in the Islamic community? Khan would most likely not let her speak to an audience without his permission.

The bigotry is just dripping in thick, putrid globs from this post. Holy shit. Do you have literally any reason to believe this beyond complete and utter blind islamaphobia?
[editline]2nd August 2016[/editline]
Provide a single shred of evidence that Khan is in any way misogynistic.

No, it's bigoted.
