anyone remember the aggrandizing threads back in '09 (@u zeke) where we would try to further develop the slenderman canon so that a hundred years from now kids might tell scary stories about him round the campfire? these girls were like 7 when that was happening. we blew it
Come on, why Slenderman? Why can't it be one of the H.P. Lovecraftian Elder Gods? Or Tzeench? Something relatively less lame.
Because they'd need to read a book (a tough one I presume) and most children don't like reading books?
Glad to have contributed to attempted murder by photoshopping a picture of a foggy forest several years ago
word, I wrote a poem. you can't trust anyone born after 9/11 these days
What
The two accused are being tried as adults due to the severity and nature of the crime.
Is it bad that I think they shouldn't be tried as adults? I mean, they're twelve. I could understand if they were 16 or even 15, but twelve seems way too young to be considered a sane and rational adult. [editline]oh hamburger[/editline] Especially when they're admitting to attempting to sacrifice someone as homage to photoshopped pictures. [editline] oh hambrgres[/editline] Here's a longer source.
trying 12 year olds as adults seems real fucked up to me
To be fair, if i was the operator from Marble Hornets, i'd fucking use these two for sustenance not for Proxies. They got caught ffs.

Yes, many 12 year olds make stupid mistakes while they are beginning to mature, but to go as far as trying to kill someone isn't something that can be brushed off as "they're just kids." There's a very clean line between negligent homicide and premeditated murder.
Should I be glad that I somehow missed Jeff the Killer entirely?
Doesn't really matter since the fans of this stuff do the same thing with every single creepypasta that catches on.
I don't even see the point of the kids being tried as adults. Like, when I was twelve I had only a vague idea of what prison was supposed to be. It's not like it's going to act as a deterrence to other kids since at that age you're not always aware of the implications of your actions. Those kids need help, not prison.
the idea that a pair of 12 year olds could get 65 years in prison also seems really fucked up and stupid. only adults should be tried as adults imo
This is why memes are bannable. They're dangerous.
If they weren't bannable facepunch probably would have devolved into some kind of eternal blood orgy by now.
This is why memes are bannable. They're dangerous.
They're trying to stop us recruiting! Run for it!
the idea that a pair of 12 year olds could get 65 years in prison also seems really fucked up and stupid. only adults should be tried as adults imo
These kids certainly have serious mental issues that 65 years in prison isn't going to help them with.
Old enough to grasp the concept of murder, old enough to*bumpf*ohgawdmyface
They shouldn't be being tried as adults They fucked up, but they're fucked up. I don't know. And I thought my generation was too attached to tech The other day I was walking around in the city and I saw a mom pushing her kid in a stroller, the kid was holding an iphone and was completely fixated on it, swiping and shit, using it like a pro, like someone who'd been using one for YEARS That shit ain't right, I don't care what you think. Don't buy your kids tablets, or give them iphones, please
Seriously. SERIOUSLY?! This is like... I can't even begin to describe the stupidity behind this. I mean, I was already tired of this slenderman shit but I didn't know there were twelve year olds that are actually stupid/crazy enough to actually think that they need to fucking kill someone in order to prove themselves worthy to a god damn CREEPYPASTA.
Slenderman was way cooler before Slender came out and Pewdiepie made it popular with dumb 12 year olds
it happened in wisconsin i thought i was the only person in this state with internet now i really wish i was
Slenderman was way cooler before Slender came out and Pewdiepie made it popular with dumb 12 year olds
This, it wasn't this jump scare bullshit. It had atmosphere to it. Watch Marble Hornets.
Hard to believe Slender Man is just something some random guy on Something Awful made up.
This, it wasn't this jump scare bullshit. It had atmosphere to it. Watch Marble Hornets.
I remember being pretty creeped out by all the old pictures with him in the background. That was legit creepy. Now it's just "oh my god, he right behind you, so scurry"
This is why memes are bannable. They're dangerous.
Memes are the entry drug to pun jokes. Not. Even. Once.
Should I be glad that I somehow missed Jeff the Killer entirely?
I just read it, it's absolutely terrible. Unrelentingly so.
I can't even imagine fucking up my life so hard at such a young age, all in thanks to an internet meme.
that's not even the cool way to do a creepypasta just plain murder is too boring and obvious [sp]tw: joke[/sp]
I have very little to say about this outside of, "what", and "no".
i need memes to live
That shit ain't right, I don't care what you think.
That's never a good sign.
how longs it gonna be until little girls are sacrificing to chin chin too?!!?
