At one point, when talking with police, Geyser said she was sorry. She said she had put the knife back into her bag and wiped it off on her jacket. She then told a detective, "It was weird that I didn't feel remorse." Geyser said they had to do it or "he would kill our family." When asked who "he" was, Geyser said she didn't know him. When asked what she was trying to do when she stabbed her friend, Geyser said, "I may as well just say it: Kill her."
This seems worthy of being charged as an adult to me.
The thread about this on SA is hilarious :v:
I don't know where to lean on this. I'd rather focus on their mental health and separating them from society until they're well. However, it's attempted murder. Their age doesn't make them any less destructive than any other human being and they were fully aware of their actions.
it happened in wisconsin i thought i was the only person in this state with internet now i really wish i was
Don't worry your not the only one from Wisconsin Unfortunately I'm from it too.
I have no problem with them being tried, and convicted, as adults. They goddamn well stabbed like adults.
Is there a major difference in how one stabs depending on age?
Come on, why Slenderman? Why can't it be one of the H.P. Lovecraftian Elder Gods? Or Tzeench? Something relatively less lame.
You can only applease them if you do mass murder, one victim ain't enough.
I'm having a hard time believing that they were both crazy enough to buy into Slenderman being real.
I buy into it as much as I buy into the idea that Elliot Rodger shot up Isla Vista because he was lonely, which is to say I don't. Delusional nonsense of the mentally ill. I can buy these girls were obsessed by the Slenderman stories, fixated on them, and in some weird way wanted to merge into these stories, but it still isn't WHY they stabbed the girl. Symptoms of mental defect are not the cause of actions necessarily. I bet there are lots of Slenderman fans, just as obsessed, out there who never hurt anyone.
I'd be far more willing to believe their motivation if only one person committed the act. The idea that somehow they were both delusional and blood-thirty for Slenderman seems less likely than the two girls killing for another more personal purpose and using Slenderman as an excuse.
