The point is that they're beatable in 2 hours.
So is morrowind, half life 1, and zelda, whats your point? if you speed run it of course it is however to even get to the point where you can beat hotline under 2 hours you need a lot of hours to train yourself to begin with, and then speed run it
That you don't have to fucking speedrun or exploit the game to do so. Jesus.
You really think most people are going to do this? Seriously?
Fuck
2014 what did you expect
2014 what did you expect
It's a shit game. Also, look at the OP. "...but even if you fall outside of the refund rules we’ve described, you can ask for a refund anyway and we’ll take a look."

TBH if you're trying to sell me a game that's only 1-2 hours for anything more than around $5 you can take your game and shove it up your arse. I'm not paying $20 for 2 hours.

"...but even if you fall outside of the refund rules we’ve described, you can ask for a refund anyway and we’ll take a look."
They probably mean you can ask for a refund, the old support way. Probably keeping the one-time refund for those cases.
i wonder if they'll finally let me refund 'City of Heroes' :v:
They probably mean you can ask for a refund, the old support way. Probably keeping the one-time refund for those cases.
I see. They redesigned their support page, but I think I can figure out how to submit a ticket for it. TBH Starforge should be taken off of Steam. There's no updates, the game is shit. Easily the biggest disappointment in my entire library.
They should also add a function to retrieve lost passwords to support accounts.
Too bad that was $60 years ago that I will never get back. [editline]3rd June 2015[/editline] This is amazing though. Just before the summer sale too, awesome timing.
Stanley Parable is $15 for 2 hours
Bullshit, getting all the endings takes longer than 2 hours
Bullshit, getting all the endings takes longer than 2 hours
I have 3.3 hours of gameplay and that's with a bunch of screwing around spawning rocket launchers.
They should also add a function to retrieve lost passwords to support accounts.
I swear I did that not long ago and now the option is gone. Steam support really is the biggest piece of shit.
I get exactly why she's complaining.
Thanks for rating this dumb you missunderstood me. (User was banned for this post ("Don't post just to complain about ratings" - Big Dumb American))

It seems a bit unreasonable for people to be guaranteed their money back after fully completing a game that they chose to pay for.
tbh if you're releasing a game that plays for less than 2 hours on average and it costs money you are kinda fucking people out of money to begin with
The Stanley Parable only took me about two hours to finish all the endings, but it was totally worth $10.
I bought DEFCON back in 2011, only have 5 minutes on it and so I'm not eligible. :/ Literally only game in my library gathering dust.
so doe's this mean Ubisoft can't pull the same shit with unity
To be honest, while this is a giant win, it raises the question of why Valve was able to do refunds on Skyrim mods, but only in Steam pretend-bux. Hmm.
wait a sec does this mean all single player games will be free from now on? just unplug internet so it doesnt register your time spent in-game and then get a refund? Extremely late edit I'm not saying you could do this to every game you play from this point on, ofc they would get suspicious after like 10 refund requests in a row, but it would work if you did it occasionally. Yes, I know it would be wrong in every way and you could just pirate your games at that point.
wait a sec does this mean all single player games will be free from now on? just unplug internet so it doesnt register your time spent in-game and then get a refund?
No. Again, Steam Support will have to judge whether you deserve a refund or not. Excessive use of the refund system will without a doubt raise suspicion.
So how exactly do i get a refund? Can't seem to find it in steam..
I bought GTA IV in 2008 on Steam. It didn't run. I played it for 12 minutes (it still says 12 minutes played.) It was generally a waste of money that I could really use right now. You think they'd consider it? I sent in a ticket since the article says they'll check out refund requests even if it's outside of the parameters.

It doesn't specify any punishments for making a claim that doesn't get approved.
