they need craig charles back or it ain't the robot wars experience. [editline]9th February 2016[/editline]
Honestly though if they don't bring Craig Charles back for this they're stupid. He's just left Corrie and it would be perfect
yeah but the last i heard of him, he was gonna work on red dwarf like damn, im torn between the two. Needs the old house robots with a couple of new ones too, ban flip bots and it'll be infinitely more fun to watch. It'll mean they'll have to be more creative this time.
no flip bots and no wireframe protection on robots and the show will be golden honestly the two things that made the show absolutely intolerable, and as you put it, will open more creativity and innovation
More teasers for more house robots! Shunt is completely unchanged, it seems, which could lead to him being a little abused by competitors as he was a little light... time can only tell whether that'll still be the case. By the way, there's no need to ban flippers at all and any suggestion of doing so is absurdly reactionary, the battlebots reboot is pure evidence that if the arena is built properly so that there's very limited space for flippers to KO opponents, they don't dominate everything else in their path. Only one flipper was truly successful in that series and it was a very exciting robot to watch. Instead of forcing a huge, far-reaching ban on one major robot type that can be exciting if not completely dominant, we should build the show around making it harder for them to triumph like battlebots did - giving only one small section to knock opponents out of the arena is more than enough to open up variety while not just artificially banning a ton of potential competitors. It's not that flippers are inherently better, it's that the robot wars arena offered three ridiculously low walls to easily flip opponents out without any effort and as a result they dominated.
allow ranged weapons have special episodes where members of the audience are picked and armed to fight off robots surviving audience member of the season has cybernetic enhancements and becomes a new house robot
This is how cybermen are made. You don't want cybermen

Flippers were OP because the layout of the arena worked in their favour, all they had to do was flip/push other bots into the pit or out of the arena. If the layout was changed to give all parties a challenge, now that'd be interesting.

Filming started today, so the BBC are starting to confirm information:
We can confirm that house robots Sir Killalot, Matilda, Shunt and Dead Metal are returning and are deadlier than ever.
So, no Sergeant Bash, and new judges:
The #RobotWars judges are @NoelSharkey, @sethuvij and @DrLucyRogers - experts in artificial intelligence, robotics and engineering.
Also, pictures are starting to come out from filming, and the House Robots have new designs, so the teasers aren't accurate.
