would've been totally fine if it was the kid's parent though right
no it wouldn't be fine, but it i feel it'd be better than some stranger going and smacking a random kid out but hey that was literally not even the point so you're probably still justifying child abuse anyway but trying to steer away from that haha
haha yeah take that you little punk!!! PROPS to this HERO for standing up for theater goers everywhere, standing up to the MAN even if in this case that man was a small child and this psycho piece of trash decided his shitty movie was worth enough to assault a child. hey FP it's child abuse even if you think it's justified! especially if it's someone elses kid
Slapping a child for being annoying now equals abuse of the highest order! Lachz0r the king of shitposts demands it! Mush people! To the white-house with it!

A stranger slapping a kid a single time does NOT constitute child abuse. Child abuse is repeated physical and/or emotional trauma to a child, usually by a parent or family member. It may not be the nicest thing to do, but the guy himself said he did it before he really realized what he was doing. Personally though, I think more theaters should follow that Texas theater and start kicking people out the second they make any kind of disruption beyond getting up to take a piss. No cell phones, no talking or whispering at inappropriate times, no bullshit.
i hate screaming kids in movies too but come on tell the parents to control their kids or go to the manager for a refund and come back, maybe kick those little shits out to boot no need to slap a child or even an adult for inconveniencing you [editline]23rd May 2012[/editline] as a movie theater employee who has had to ask parents to remove their screaming babies and toddlers from a movie theater, the ones who don't comply with you are cheap and didn't want to pay for a babysitter i asked this one woman politely if she could remove her 1 year old from the auditorium until it had calmed down, she got annoyed and said "I paid 12 dollars for this ticket, i ain't leavin" well that's fine and dandy but what you dont realize is so did the 40 other people in the movie theyre usually shit parents too, you wouldnt believe how many times we've had people just change their kids diaper right in the fucking middle of the movie just so they wouldn't miss a minute of whatever
No I'm gonna be honest, if an adult starts throwing shit at you then they definitely deserve a smack.
“I got so mad that it just happened,” Kim told police, according to charging documents.

It may not be the nicest thing to do, but the guy himself said he did it before he really realized what he was doing.
So the guy's just impulsively violent then. That doesn't really make it any better.
No I'm gonna be honest, if an adult starts throwing shit at you then they definitely deserve a smack.
Why does anyone deserve to be hit at all?
Good on the guy for having self discipline.
wut
No I'm gonna be honest, if an adult starts throwing shit at you then they definitely deserve a smack.
that's fine and all go ahead and enjoy your assault charges i'm not disagreeing with you i'm just saying the people in the cinema might be on your side with this but the law sure won't
fuck marijuana, legalize kidslaps
Wow FP really is coming out in favour of the guy that assaults children. I mean I have some sympathy for the guy, it's not like there was no provokation, but you guys really don't see any issue whatsoever with a man attacking 10 year olds that annoy him?
Years ago I was with one of my buddies at the movies and we were being little shits. One man didn't say anything to us but left the room and had a staff member escort us out (before the movie even started.) It made me feel really bad for some reason when I realized I was being a little dipshit. From then on I've been quiet when I go to the movies, I don't even bother to get my phone out like I see a lot of my buddies do. This guys a winner for slapping the kid.
Read the article people he didn't even know the guy he slapped was a kid.
Read the article people he didn't even know the guy he slapped was a kid.
how about don't fucking slap people regardless of whether they are a kid or not [editline]23rd May 2012[/editline] and if you can't control your impulsive violent behaviors in public then maybe don't go out in public ever and seek help

Just because someone's being a dick or annoying doesn't mean that they have to be confronted with physical violence: your anecdote actually serves as a testament to this because it details an event where a disgruntled movie-goer sought help from the theater staff instead of resorting to violence to deal with the problem like this guy in the OP did.

HO HO! You now humanity!
Lol, 21 and can't stand the minor inconvenience of a loud 10-year-old without resorting to violence. Pathetic. He's gonna make an awful father.
Ah, the joy of retards at theaters, we actually had a 70 year old guy who couldn't take it anymore literally kick a 13-14 yo kid out of our local theater because the fucktard would randomly stand up and curse at the general public, never laughed so hard in my life (I was on the verge of doing the same after putting up with 30 minutes of this)

This is fucked. I don't know about you, but if I was a father and some stranger started slapping my child, I'd press charges too.

Obviously he's an impulsively violent man who should be institutionalized before he becomes a MENACE! Slapping a stranger's kid once is wrong, but it doesn't make you a goddamn monster.
Ah there we go, there was simply a delay in the time it took for the users who hate violence to enter the thread. Now the thread can proceed normally.

Why the fuck would you SLAP him? if he's throwing popcorn at you, you throw your soda on him. Not assault and it's funny
If I went around hitting kids that annoyed me, I'd damn well expect some assault charges. Yes, praise the man who can't stand annoyance in a cinema to such a degree that he has to hit them.
if you find yourself impulsively slapping people for something as trivial as interrupting a movie you should probably be seeing someone for that I understand that it's annoying and I get frustrated with people just as much at the next guy, but I wouldn't slap someone just for throwing popcorn on me and making noise. or at least, I wouldn't do anything worth the parents flipping shit at me and pressing charges.
eh the dude did what we all wish we could do, of course he's going to get some hollow praise. what the dude did was wrong but what he did was also something that every single spectator has wanted to do since the time where humans all started gathering around things to spectate not saying I approve of what the guy did but I have zero sympathy for the shitstain kid and the many others like him
You go to be entertained, not to be annoyed. So tell the kid too shut up, if he doesn't, slap his shit. Can't believe the parents aren't taking responsibility for this. They should be teaching their kid how to be disciplined.
How does he mistake a 10 year old for an adult anyway? He must really look pretty old for his age then. People go to watch a movie, and when people disrupt it by being obnoxious, I don't blame him for slapping him, but he could have told some security or something before trying to take it into his own hands. I also hope that kid learned his lesson for being a little disruptive immature shit when other people are just trying to have a good time.
Because clearly the right thing to do is take justice into your own hands and knock a tooth out rather than letting the staff throw them out.
I've never seen the staff take any abnoxious fucks out of the theater, even when they can clearly see and hear them. Like when I saw The Avengers some dick was talking over on his cellphone and there was a worker right outside. Did he get thrown out? NO!
Why does anyone deserve to be hit at all?
Your name contradicts this sentiment. :v:
Your name contradicts this sentiment. :v:
Yeah when I first came up with it I thought it was random and funny-sounding but now I realize how stupid and chauvinistic it is.
Some of you are posting like he held down the kid and beat him until he was half dead, but all he really did was slap an annoyingly loud kid who he thought was older then he was. I doubt the kid is even still hurt after that. Until the media posts some sob story about the kid being traumatized for life. I don't exactly think this is "What a psychopath! He should be institutionalized and never go in the public forever!!!" material.
