Am I the only one who doesn't believe in this crap?
I read Spontaneous Combustion has something to do with your body's ability to produce extremely rare 'sparks', and also due the fact that your body produces a certain type of gas. There was a tiny bit more on it, but it's been ages since I've read it..
That sounds like a total load of malarkey An external cause is much more probable, especially here since the flames were put out by someone patting him with their coat It's probably going to end up being something like a lighter in his pocket malfunctioning
Do you guys know how much energy your body produces on daily basis? If your bodies balance is somehow upset and it's allowed to collect, It's not that surprising that you might go up in flames.

That awkward moment when you realise you're on fire...
this thrrad makes me really angry
this thrrad makes me really angry
Look out! He's gonna burst! (Into flame) Station not have CCTV? (Although I suppose it is sweden, crime free and such)
It's probably something simple. Maybe he accidentally dropped his cigarette in a coat pocket without him noticing it, and it ignited the lint, which then ignited the coat. I don't really see the mystery in all this.
Actually that has happened to me and all I got was a burned pocket because without air the fire goes out pretty quickly, and most cloth materials nowadays don't burn that easily.
User was banned for flaming

Oh what fun it is to be a deity!
When I hear about SHC, I usually hear about people burning from the inside and burning so damn well that there are holes in the damned floor due to the heat, with only a few limbs remaining. This guy got patted down by a coat, doubt it was SHC.
To be honest, if I saw a man catch on fire, I wouldn't know what to do. Fire extinguishers say to point at the base of the flame, never at people, but they don't say what to do if the base of the flame is a person
Mythbusters shot fire extinguishers at their own team members in one episode. It's safe.
I've heard spontaneous combustion caused by the body itself is just bullshit.
Holy shit. Just imagine standing there and your arm just catches fire, it seems like a wtf moment.
oh wow a real life fringe event
