if you're expecting an accident you should be using a case. not relying on how tough the device is alone, because there are very little high end phones that can survive that except for maybe a lumia, which sacrifices internal specifications for build quality. screen protectors do almost nothing unless it's a glass protector, and they are expensive. a case is common sense if you're expecting to drop it at some point regardless of what device it is

I put my wallet in my left pocket
I never lose any of them either, so it works that way.

Yeah and some of us are stuck with these phones for at least 2 years and want to make our several hundred dollar investment last. I have a thick ass case on my already huge Galaxy Note 2 and I can toss it around like it's nothing and it's fine. Can't say I'd have that level of confidence without a case.

Who the hell wants to fucking cart around a bag all day long just for a phone? Whats the point of even having anything portable in that case. If I had a bag I'd put my PC in it.
When I go to the mall, or go for a walk, or go to eat somewhere, I travel light--in and out, no fucking bag being left behind by mistake or some stupid shit like that. My phone goes in my pocket thanks.
