active lifestyle my arsehole, you're just a clumsy fuck. use a case if you're paranoid
but here's the thing, accidents happen.
There were MacBook Pros before the unibody models. The unibody is also stupid, I've seen a couple of friends who had them that have had physical damage (from dropping or whateveR) and the entire thing just ends up looking deformed and retarded. You pretty much have to replace most of the laptop because of some little dent (which costs a fuckton because its unibody).
I dropped my plastic laptop on the driveway and the entire corner is wrecked and the backlight isn't working properly. I think the unibody design's only flaw is how easy it is to shatter the screen
Apple doesn't do niche products because they try to be the niche product--like how they remove shit like contact management of a SIM card!
that doesn't make something a niche product, do you know what that word means?
but here's the thing, accidents happen.
And that's why insurance and cases exist
but here's the thing, accidents happen.
if you're expecting an accident you should be using a case. not relying on how tough the device is alone, because there are very little high end phones that can survive that except for maybe a lumia, which sacrifices internal specifications for build quality. (not saying that's bad, nokia has a good mindset)
active lifestyle my arsehole, you're just a clumsy fuck. use a case if you're paranoid
Ok steve jobs I'll take a free cover because the antenna you designed is stupid. Sorry, cases are shitty; I use a screen protector sometimes, but most of the time I just put my phone in my pocket. I expect a lifetime of 6-12 months out of my phone, with no second hand value.l [editline]4th September 2013[/editline]
that doesn't make something a niche product, do you know what that word means?
yeah its the kind of shit hipsters like to buy because it says "designed by apple in california". that makes it pretty niche.
You don't think people dropping portable devices is something that happens quite frequently? Apple doesn't do niche products because they try to be the niche product--like how they remove shit like contact management of a SIM card!
it does, but not MOTHERFUCKING ALL THE TIME LIKE YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS you are the first person in my entire life that needs sim contact management it's a niche feature that not a lot of people (aka only you) use and remember apple doesn't do niche products apple doesn't do niche products apple doesn't do niche products apple doesn't do niche products apple doesn't do niche products apple doesn't do niche products apple doesn't do niche products

"important new niche markets" apple is mainstream as fuck
yeah its the kind of shit hipsters like to buy because it says "designed by apple in california". that makes it pretty niche.
no it doesn't. you don't seem to know what niche means
if you're expecting an accident you should be using a case. not relying on how tough the device is alone, because there are very little high end phones that can survive that except for maybe a lumia, which sacrifices internal specifications for build quality. (not saying that's bad, nokia has a good mindset)
Some people just don't care. If their phone breaks, then they'll just buy a different/better one. I had one of those durable Ericsson phones when I was a kid, they were really awesome. Nokia made some too.
yeah its the kind of shit hipsters like to buy because it says "designed by apple in california". that makes it pretty niche.
Considering the iPhone alone accounts for like half the market share that doesn't make it niche, please understand what the word means. You want to generalize how hipsters think please go watch Portlandia
u obviously don't have keys in your pocket scratching the shit out of your screen on a regular basis then.
then put your phone elsewhere?????????????????????????????????????? HOW IS THIS APPLE'S FAULT
u obviously don't have keys in your pocket scratching the shit out of your screen on a regular basis then. [editline]4th September 2013[/editline] How many people worldwide can actually get a smartphone? That makes it a pretty niche product.
why would you keep your phone in the same pocket as your keys? and again, no. it. doesn't.
u obviously don't have keys in your pocket scratching the shit out of your screen on a regular basis then.
Yeah, I think most people have the common sense to not put keys and other sharp things in the same pocket they keep their phone in.
How many people worldwide can actually get a smartphone? That makes it a pretty niche product.
WHAT ARE YOU EVEN SAYING ANYMOR EHOLY FUCKING SHIT HOW DOES THIS JUSTIFY APPLE MAKING A RUGGED SMARTPHONE
why would you keep your phone in the same pocket as your keys? and again, no. it. doesn't.
I put my phone and my keys in my right pocket I put my wallet in my left pocket I never lose any of them either, so it works that way. If you put the wallet with the keys, then sometimes the keys get stuck under the wallet and like jab into your side. I'll take a scratched phone over injuring my legs thanks.
why don't you put your keys in the wallet pocket? or in the wallet?
I put my phone and my keys in my right pocket I put my wallet in my left pocket I never lose any of them either, so it works that way. everything you're saying is your fault and not the phone's, jesus christ [editline]3rd September 2013[/editline] if you really have that much trouble with pockets, carry a bag!
why don't you put your keys in the wallet pocket? or in the wallet?
What kind of modern car keys would fit in a wallet? Phones also get scratched from sand, coins, other shit. As I said before, some of us actually 'use' these strange portable devices in a portable fashion--namely by chucking them into our pocket with the expectation that they won't have a logic board failure because steve jobs shipment of free iphone bumpers arrived late. Its a mobile phone.
everything you're saying is your fault and not the phone's, jesus christ [editline]3rd September 2013[/editline] if you really have that much trouble with pockets, carry a bag!
Or if there's that much trouble with getting a scratch on your phone, get a generic phone sleeve.

Its a mobile phone.
Yeah and some of us are stuck with these phones for at least 2 years and want to make our several hundred dollar investment last. I have a thick ass case on my already huge Galaxy Note 2 and I can toss it around like it's nothing and it's fine. Can't say I'd have that level of confidence without a case.

Chelsea Clinton? Who the hell wants to fucking cart around a bag all day long just for a phone? Whats the point of even having anything portable in that case. If I had a bag I'd put my PC in it. When I go to the mall, or go for a walk, or go to eat somewhere, I travel light--in and out, no fucking bag being left behind by mistake or some stupid shit like that. My phone goes in my pocket thanks.
