yes because carrying a bag around is such a demanding fucking task. any device is going to get scratched the way you treat them
IT IS NOT APPLE'S FAULT THAT YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH SPACE FOR KEYS AND THAT YOU CANNOT HANDLE ELECTRONICS
Bold, italicized and underlined capital letters don't get your point across any more than it does when written normally.
Yeah and some of us are stuck with these phones for at least 2 years and want to make our several hundred dollar investment last. I have a thick ass case on my already huge Galaxy Note 2 and I can toss it around like it's nothing and it's fine. Can't say I'd have that level of confidence without a case.
Damn man I wish I still had my Note or better yet the Note 2. Best phone I ever had. Perfect size.
Bold, italicized and underlined capital letters don't get your point across any more than it does when written normally.
blaming apple for your own stubbornness and stupidity really doesn't help either
yes because carrying a bag around is such a demanding fucking task. any device is going to get scratched the way you treat them
I'll tell you whats a fucking task: making a modern android/whatever phone in a form factor like this (with a bigger screen): I used to play catch with it with friends and it never failed once on me. Didn't get any scratches or bullshit either.
anyway i'm so fucking done with this and i'm off to bed bye nerds
blaming apple for your own stubbornness and stupidity really doesn't help either
That's a really dumb and pointless post. I blame apple for creating software that misses opportunities, and basic functions of other software.
That's a really dumb and pointless post. What you consider basic is something that the average person doesn't even give a shit about.
He has a fair point, though. What you consider basic is something that the average person doesn't even give a shit about.
Transferring contacts between phone via sim? Most pre-smartphone-era phones had the ability to do this.
He has a fair point, though. What you consider basic is something that the average person doesn't even give a shit about.
Its more like people just found other solutions after getting so frustrated with Apple for not making a real phone. Keep in mind the original iPhone couldn't even import contacts from the SIM card, back in those days that was completely unheard of (there wasn't the same level of sync/connectivity we have today either).
Transferring contacts between phone via sim? Most pre-smartphone-era phones had the ability to do this.
Yeah but now everyone has it on the cloud and I never once noticed an issue going between Windows Phone to iOS to Android. All my contacts existed on all three and all I had to do was login to an account and synchronize. The original iPhone was the first user-friendly smartphone and was by no means perfect.
Transferring contacts between phone via sim? Most pre-smartphone-era phones had the ability to do this.
Of course, that was the only way of doing that back then. If I'm choosing between having to export/import contacts manually or logging in to my google account and never having to worry about it again, I'm choosing the latter.
Of course, that was the only way of doing that back then. Something the iPhone lacks the capability of producing.

Something the iPhone lacks the capability of producing.
Sure, this was legitimate when the iPhone first came out, but in 2013 it's pretty much a non-issue for anyone who isn't a giant turbonerd or a luddite.
Why are you guys complaining about contact transfers anyway
Why are you guys complaining about contact transfers anyway
It's just a nigerianprince Circlejerk.
Why are you guys complaining about contact transfers anyway
Read the thread through from the bottom of page 1.
People you have been talking about importing contacts from SIM cards for like 7 pages now. Seriously
IT IS NOT APPLE'S FAULT THAT YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH SPACE FOR KEYS AND THAT YOU CANNOT HANDLE ELECTRONICS
Having your phone protected from keys and such is really something you should expect though. I've mostly agreed with you throughout this thread, but lots of people put their keys in the same pocket as their phone. I don't, though.
-non user serviceable battery -miniature torx screws (that are easily torn to shreds) -they seem to have a high incidence of broken screens (almost everyone I know has at least a full on shatter or a crack on their screen) -you can't do anything with the phone in terms of backing up your data easily, or copying files to/from which makes customer service horrible
You got a point on the 2 first points. But the broken screens are not the phone's fault. You aren't supposed to drop em, period. Ofcourse some have made phones that can take a good pounding, but that still doesn't mean phones are ment to whithstand any form of assault. My iPhone 4 is now 3 years old and in perfect shape. Not even a scratch on the sides. To me dropping your phone and complaining it is broken is the same as bumping your car into something and complaining it is damaged. And backing up can be done by copying a folder from your iphone to your HDD, takes a while because of the shitload of seperate files you are transferring, but possible. Can also be done in iTunes in a few seconds.

I've mostly agreed with you throughout this thread, but lots of people put their keys in the same pocket as their phone. I don't, though.
It's corning glass, it scratches no more than any other devices, so it's not really a claim to be put against Apple as it is one to be put against glass. If people care so much they should have funded that Ubuntu kickstarter to have a phone with a sapphire display cover. Also this thread was painful to read. Right off the bat with his first posts nigerianprince basically exclaimed to everyone that he has absolutely no idea what he's talking about. I don't know why anyone would have "debated" with him for nine whole pages, there's no success to be found arguing against someone who is firmly entrenched in false beliefs like the iPhone having poor internal hardware or OLED displays being better than IPS ones.
I think I'm gonna upgrade to an iPhone 5C. I would get the 5S but if the 5C is cheaper, why not? Either of those are better than the iPhone 4, which I currently own.
I think I'm gonna upgrade to an iPhone 5C. I would get the 5S but if the 5C is cheaper, why not? My 4 is becoming slow, and since I'm a student that lives on his own, I don't have any money to buy the 5S. 5C will do good enough, and to be honest, I like the colours too.
Wasn't it proven that Apple basically restricted Facetime to newer phones just because they could and through no technological reason?
Well, Im trying to logically think about this. My 3gs can run skype no problem, so facetime should be possible right? There is no front facing camera tho, so when i skype i dont use the camera and let others use theirs on their laptop/phone etc.
they better not fix that recent text exploit, it's too good to lose
It's already patched in ios7
Gonna do the same thing. My phone has been on and off so many carriers. The back on it is loose. It was a great phone though, don't get me wrong.
I got an Iphone, really wish apple make it more customizable and stop banning all the good apps from the app store. I was trying to get an HTC One anyways but it cost to much so I gotten an free Iphone 4. I like Android better, only thing I like about the iphone is the way they conserves battery. Also the fucking screen is small for its body and the keyboard takes up too much space. If only if I gotten an HTC One...
I post a video where iphone 5 doesn't have that perfect of build quality: FP: fake omgz. And this is how you see who's the fanboy and who's not [editline]3rd September 2013[/editline] Don't even get me started on their app restrictions.

Generalizing FP also always ends well. ;)
