I wish I could do the same since I've got the game for FiveM in the first place. Though I have played 300hrs clocked so that's gonna be an issue.
Still worth a try.
Glad I didn't buy the game. GTA is an amazing series, but the shit Rockstar pulls is just unacceptable. I really hope they're going to improve in the future.
I'm still surprised by how unpopular my opinion is on this, but I firmly believe that GTA V is a complete embarrassment across the board, and the worst game rockstar has made in over a decade. I can't think of a single positive thing to say about it apart from the visuals are nice and the writing for trevor is interesting (for the 4 hours it lasts). there's literally nothing to do in the game, it's a money grind simulator, and now they're actively trying to stop people from modding it to make it a bit more interesting. pathetic.
GTA V/O is so popular one cannot really argue? Or, well..
Well, i guess some people like grinding and getting penalized for having fun.. Me, and a lot of people i know just want a freeroam multiplayer experience where you can get anything when you want, just to fuck around with, not some psuedo-mmo that tries to be realistic.
Still worth a try.
I'll wait until Grenadiac receives a reply so that I can make a good excuse on why they need to give me my cash back :v:

I guess Rockstar could have settled for some less ambitious online mode for GTAV to be honest, on hindsight.. Might have just increased the overall quality of their game across the board.

Definitely in my top 5. It sure beats 4 in terms of fun and things to do. I really enjoyed the characters and I felt Trevor was actually the most boring one. He seemed interesting in promos and trailers but after playing the actual game, I didn't really care for him. Shooting felt really good in this game. Hands down the best in all of GTAs. Driving was not as fun as 4 for me(yes I enjoyed the cars on ice physics more) but it was perfectly ok. [editline]11th August 2015[/editline]
Sounds good. I think if they go with it, in next game they will have something more fully fledged.
I'll wait until Grenadiac receives a reply so that I can make a good excuse on why they need to give me my cash back :v:
I would say you should lodge the request now. Even if they reject everyone who requests a refund it'll be a loud protest.
I would say you should lodge the request now. Even if they reject everyone who requests a refund it'll be a loud protest.
Alrighty then I'll give it a shot. So I tell them that they've violated one of their terms by banning modders?
Just explain that you purchased it after Rockstar said publicly they would not be banning singleplayer modders, and then they went back on that.

I've even tried looking at wikis and stuff because at one point I thought my save might have been fucked up or something because of how empty and lifeless the story mode is. there's the extremely short campaign, like 8 side missions and that's literally it. and half the side missions are just you driving some random stranger somewhere and listening to them talk on the way.
who even buys shark cards
Isn't the reason most of the dlc is free is because of people buying the shark cards?
FiveM is now a banned word in social club, and potentially it will be in-game in the next update. [t]https://i.imgur.com/W3iz8jU.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/ydJypOU.png[/t]

Due to the GTAO content-updates and modding there is a lot of content for me to fuck around with in free roam. Shootouts with the police are more challenging because, besides their aimbot aim, they use more flanking manoeuvres and such. My biggest gripe with the game is that going on rampages is less fun because you can't cripple civilians anymore, along with other ''small'' elements which made GTA IV more believable.
Shark cards are why all the DLC is free, find something else to bitch about
I'd rather dlc be paid if it wasn't such a grind.
Shark cards are why all the DLC is free, find something else to bitch about
No, I'm going to bitch about it. I'd rather pay for DLC than have R* use that excuse to justify killing modifications to keep their loan shark f2p p2w economy going.
Shark cards are why all the DLC is free, find something else to bitch about
And shark cards are why they're so dedicated to throwing modders in the gulag.
Shark cards are why all the DLC is free, find something else to bitch about
Yeah, DLC with ridiculously overpriced content that you can only afford by grinding, buying shark cards or doing heists, the latter being almost impossible because of the godawful matchmaking and lag issues. I'm starting to think R* made heists bugged and frustrating on purpose so it discourages players to do them. If they weren't such a pain to do, players would just do heists to get the money they need and nobody would buy shark cards anymore :tinfoil:
This is a big middle finger towards their own customers. I shouldn't have given them my money.
I wish i could get a refund on my console purchase
Hosting GTA O is probably pretty cheap for them since it's p2p aaaand they still get money from console shark cards
And shark cards are why they're so dedicated to throwing modders in the gulag.
Really, how much money do you honestly think Shark Cards make? Have you ever bought one, know anyone who has? If anything's a "threat" to the 5-10k profit they pull in it's the people who spawn money in Online, not alternative MP, and they know that. The punishments for those people are extremely relaxed, if they ever do get caught (I haven't :v:). It wouldn't be hard to implement a script whitelist for GTAO if it weren't for the miscommunication between teams, but they won't because they don't care about Shark Card dollars as much as you guys like to pretend. Just because it resembles microtransactions doesn't mean it's cursed, think critically for a sec. This is almost definitely an overzealous team of lawyers who misunderstood the project as online-4-pirates and banned then for breaking the EULA before they'd be accused of "tolerating" pirates and having another Hot Coffee on their hands. If we're lucky they might even realize they made a mistake, like the last time SP modders got caught in the crossfire.
If you need cash in gtao, just ask in chat for it and if there is a cheater, most of them will gladly give you millions. That's how I bought all the expensive stuff that otherwise would've required a ton of grind. Though I don't understand how shark cards are p2w
I rather play FiveM since last time I played GTAO, all my money was gone, I just joined a random game, had no money at all, and it never came back.
I rather play FiveM since last time I played GTAO, all my money was gone, I just joined a random game, had no money at all, and it never came back.
But why didn't you just buy a shark card to get your money back?????
You know there is more and more reasons not to trust Rockstar anymore. The shark cards are why they seem to mistrust modders. Any way a premium currency (yes Shark Cards would be considered premium currency) is threatened or bypassed, Rockstar seems to flip out...
literally all they had to fucking do was port over GTA IV's MP with some improvements to it
literally all they had to fucking do was port over GTA IV's MP with some improvements to it
We would have even been happy with both. I mean RDR And GTA V share a lot of code, and RDR had normal multiplayer, why can't this game have it too?
