Sexy skybox.
That's surely invisible UAV bringing weapons into action.
Or shotgun bombardment.
Get the fuck out already.
Why? Can't people admit that source engine is getting old? The screenshots look terrible.

Or the shotgun simply having flown out of the hands of the guy who was just shot... just like what happens in CS.
And I think it's hilarious how much people are trying to use the visuals in this game as any basis for the visuals in a Source game, given how HEAVILY MODIFIED they changed the Source engine. At this point, you're essentially trying to take two different engines and claim they're the same thing.

He's talking about the pixely skybox texture.

It does not matter. Source's advantages are flexibility, and wide range of hardware able to run it. And it can actually look very well. It fit's games which use it the best. Warm-blooded action FPS's.
When I play an FPS on competitive level, I turn off all graphical eye candy shit like bloom, blur, DoF, etc. Maybe it is nice, but it makes your vision and reaction mostly worse, partially by the effects on their own making it more blurry and fizzy, and partially by lowering FPS.
I seriously don't give horse shit about source graphics. I just want good models, big enough-textures, and maybe bumpmaps. AA is also nice. I don't care about most post-processing at all.

So he carried 2 shotguns? He used one to impale the CT and other one flew into air after he got shot?
This game looks more awesome every second.

But one thing really bothers me. Is it me, or is all the food on tables 2d?
Source's advantages are flexibility, and wide range of hardware able to run it. And it can actually look very well.
Of course you can run it with most computers, and you know why? It's because the engine is from 2004. Maybe we should just move down to unreal engine, you know, so any old hardware would get high fps with it. Yeah, you could call me a graphics whore, but it's 2009, I expect the games to look good.
thats because youre a graphics whore
graphics do not make the game
It looks nice but am I the only one who liked Condition Zero?
i liked cz: deleted scenes more than the actual cz
As long as it's not online, I will fucking gladly buy it. CS 1 was just WAY too early in gaming technology to be worth a crap.

Gameplay over Graphics. YOU get out.
Gameplay over graphics is you was developing for a fucking gameboy but there's no excuse for this shit in 2009!
2009
it wouldnt be a game if there where no graphics you dumbshit so that argument is severely flawed

I don't give shit what year it is. Software isn't food, and it doesn't get any worse with age. Program/engine/game which rocked 10 years ago, will rock all the same today. Only perception changes.
I guess you have to play games for hours on 8 bit systems to get real values.
Valve actually does update and change the engine, there are just things they can't change. They would have to rewrite the whole engine from scratch.
If you don't like it, go, play newest EA's stupid generic shooter. I don't give shit. People like you always ruin the fun anyway.

How am i ruining the fun? Source engine is getting old and it's showing, tbh, the screenshots of the game make me think of an generic fps shooter, which i hope it isn't. And I didn't say I don't like it, i just think it looks ugly and the screenshots give an bad impression of the game.
And I don't care if they have to rewrite the whole engine, it's business and they're going to have to rewrite it it sometime soon anyway or they won't keep up with others, or, they just keep updating their old engine, which has its limitations (.bsp map format) and looks ugly.

try some punctuation and come back to me k
whats that
It's something you're lacking.
tell me what it is so i can fix it :(
It looks nice but am I the only one who liked Condition Zero?
I thought condition zero was better than 1.6 to be honest.
This seems to have better weapon and player models, and the addition of iron sights would make the game four times more enjoyable for me. The dog sounds badass, but wouldn't that be kinda unbalanced if the Ts don't have some sort of special ability too? Anyways, I'll be watching this. It sounds much better than CSS to me.

I dont want to live in 2009, i want to go to 1999, when the word "Gameplay" was still the main priority for game devs

gameplay as a whole may have gone down recently but there are individual titles have far better gameplay than any game from the pre-2002 era

ahahaha are you kidding
graphics have always been important. i mean if you look back at games like quake, quake 2 or unreal 1, one of the main selling points for those games was the graphics
