• Metal Studs Treat The Homeless 'Like Animals'

If you put a few planks on them it becomes a much warmer and drier sleeping spot then the ground.
In every story I hear about periodically letting a homeless person crash in your apartment, it always ends up with a robbery. I volunteer with the homeless somewhat frequently (every few months) I wouldn't say they're all bad, but a lot of them are a little bit messed up mentally. Just the nature of being homeless gives them little accountability, they aren't necessarily tied down to jobs or homes like the rest of us, be careful.
A few years back, I was homeless for several months. In that time, I literally could not stop robbing people and smearing walls with my own feces. Like, constantly. I blame it on my complete lack of accountability, because I didn't have a job, nor was I tied down by having a house. I was literally a shit-smeared, larcenous, feral animal, who barely posessed the ability to form coherent vocalizations, often resorting to wild hand gestures and animalistic grunting and hooting. Good thing I ended up getting a home, so I could be people again.
I heard that somehwere int he US, I forget where, cops are goign round and takign homeless peoples belongings off them, including blankets etc etc, so they're soving the problem of homelessness by trying to kill homeless people. There's also naother couple of places that solve homlessness by the cops picking the guys up and dropping them off miles outside the city limits in the middle of nowhere.
they take their belongings when they leave them piled up, so hopefully it forces the homeless to move to a shelter, of course this doesn't work like that and homeless probably freeze because of it, but ya those programs are very rare and often get a lot of very bad PR when they do come out

Too bad your brain hasn't developed enough to be able to read some text and understand what its saying without responding with some extreme-strawman that both misses the point and the greater context. Oh well.

Why are people horrible to the homeless, they're just our brothers and sisters who've had it hard in their lives: the bottle, the needle or whatever.
Had a homeless guy sleeping outside my block of apartments just a week ago, actually. Ended up buzzing open the access door so that he could sleep inside. He ended up sleeping really out of the way at the back of the sides of a staircase so nobody would freak out. I talked with him for about five minutes in the evening and before leaving for work in the morning and he seemed like a really nice guy. It's a shame people have this really shitty prejudice that homeless people are horrible vagrants, when most are normal good people that have fallen on hard times. In this case, they're trying to stop homeless people sleeping outside of their building in a corner, as if them doing so actually hurts anyone. I have a healthy dislike of people who look down on the homeless and treat them like pests. University was some of the worst times of my life, yet I still had a roof over my head and food to eat (if you can call cheap noodles and beans food) and it really helped me to appreciate what the homeless have to go through.
Actually, Most are horrible vagrants and a very small percentage are normal good people that have fallen on hard times. In a small town it might be different, but in american cities, it isn't
The homeless get treated like shit, if I recall correctly that little Caesars place or whatever pours bleach all over the pizzas they throw out, just so the homeless can't eat them.
Sounds like massive lawsuit potential, all it takes is someone's pet (or moderately daft child) getting sick from eating it for every lawyer in a 20 mile radius to start drooling on their desk.

I hurt my foot on one of those things; true story.
my uncle has a gas station in detroit and there'd always be these locals that were usually homeless and visiting the station from time to time when they made an extra few cents and there was a period in which the cops would take the time out of their day to find homeless people, pick them up, and drive them far out of town. i don't know why, but those guys always just eventually walked back..
The title made me think that a bunch of well built, handsome metal musicians were going around harassing the homeless.
Pepper;45050119']Someone can't sarcasm.
Except I know he's being sarcastic?
Except I know he's being sarcastic?
Being a jerk about it didn't help... Edit reason: Jerk is now a curse word? Really Samsung?
you know homeless people are really good at survival outdoors and the spike can be good riser for wood or hard cardboard

They look just like bumpy bricks, if that picture was posted without the watermarks (and in another thread) I would never have guessed that's their purpose.

Someone just needs to fake a fall on them and reap the millions.... problem solved
At least those are less obvious andmore decorative and less directthan having metal fucking spikes in the ground. Besides, that'd be nowhere near as uncomfortable to sleep on.

People are upset that they're trying to deter homeless whatsoever, not because they made the studs too uncomfortable.
its the same reason why they make benches like this [t]http://www.laweekly.com/imager/b/blog/4208493/60b4/L1110424.JPG?cb=1389089830[/t] so homeless can't sleep on them, its sad that we actually engineer stuff to deter people like this though
Most dystopian bench 2014.
Reminds me of a similar thing at my university. One of the buildings had students committing suicide inside of them by jumping off the inside balconies, usually about 3-4 stories. Now during exam time they've placed wooden boards blocking them. [img_thumb]http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7128/8163134202_74bec18420_o.jpg[/img_thumb]
I have a pal who used to work at Little Ceasars and she said she never heard of them doing anything like that and she lives in one of the richest cities in our state (but that city did put bars on benches so the homeless couldn't sleep on them so uh :v:)
he means the casino/hotel in las vegas you stupid fuck also, if i was homeless, id just find a board and put that over the spikes.
he means the casino/hotel in las vegas you stupid fuck also, if i was homeless, id just find a board and put that over the spikes.
There is no need to call somebody a 'stupid fuck' just because they thought "little caesars place" meant "Little Caesar's" instead of "Caesar's Palace".

I could fall asleep on that quite easily
Huh? I could fall asleep on that quite easily
it would be harder than you think and would massively hurt your back or side after a night of sleeping there
it would be harder than you think and would massively hurt your back or side after a night of sleeping there
Well it certainly isn't really as much of a problem for a hobo, especially compared to spikes.
he means the casino/hotel in las vegas you stupid fuck also, if i was homeless, id just find a board and put that over the spikes.
calm down buddy, its just the internet :) [editline]10th June 2014[/editline] also the post i was replying to was replying to this post and in that post
The homeless get treated like shit, if I recall correctly that little Caesars place or whatever pours bleach all over the pizzas they throw out, just so the homeless can't eat them.
So sorry I read "Little Ceasar's" and thought of a place called Little Ceasar's?
