Not Physically capable? Kids aren't playing against 300 lb brick shithouses, also AFAIK they only play flag football, no contact.
When I played Peewee or whatever the fuck it was called, we did full contact. Really had no point in it, though. At that stage of your life your body is not developed enough to go slamming into other kids. That's why so many kids get hurt that young playing football. Once they hit puberty, they start to build muscle. Before that they're fragile as shit. Not saying kids are playing against 300 lb fuckers, but you take two kids slamming into each other and it hurts them bad too.
Same, I still throw in college, but high school football still holds a special place in my heart. Wouldn't want to be playing it now, but I really am glad I played in high school.
Off topic but how far did you throw?
I had played baseball since my youngest years, but hadn't played more than a few games of pick up street touch football before high school. So I had a REALLY hard time switching from a baseball throw over to a football throw, not that it mattered much since I played offensive line and some defensive line.
I can throw a football around now, but I'm definitely sub-par. Give me a baseball and I can do quite a bit more :D
all that does is give the players a false sense of security and they run at each other full clip and get traumatic brain injuries.
kind of like how 100 years ago when boxing was the big sport and they wore boxing gloves, which are actually more harmful on the receiving end than bare fists
Comparable by the same reasons LeBron says his children wont be playing football: Health risks. "Its a safety thing", "You want to protect them as much as possible"
Why should the child be circumcised without them having input. They're too young to make an informed decision. Perhaps the parents are acting in the child's best interest as some claim he is here.
There's a massive difference between cutting a chunk of a baby's dick off and not letting your sons play a sport that consists of little more than running into other people.
Did you buy the Lebron 12s or the lebron zoom soldier 8s? I agree with you that both Lebron's signature shoe line are comfortable,
I got the zoom soldier 8s. The anti crease function works incredible, and they look really fly. Only nikes I've worn that people will actually be like "oh dude those are sick nikes"
I remember once in football training (was about 16 years old) they wanted to make us "Tougher", so the coaches made us ram each other 40 yards apart head-first. I was the guy who had to ran into the 400 pounds guy. (he was just fat, not strong/tall)
I lost consciousness for about 30 seconds, and I had an headache for an entire month after.
Oklahoma drill? If neither of you had a ball and blocker, then your coach is just an idiot. If it was in the hashes doing the Oklahoma, you're exaggerating the distance.

When we did that our coaches would stop us if we put heads down, first time I did Oklahoma with one of the team vets I was still pretty shaken by it, a real trial by fire, funny how after a few times you really do toughen up and start to really enjoy it.

It's a hell of a drill; but the competitiveness makes it quite enjoyable. Still holds a place in my heart. Also, same thing happened my coaches. I used to get nonstop shit from coaches when I was younger for putting my head down. Coach always preached about keeping your eyes ahead though.
