What? They are currently developing one of the largest releases for the current and next gen, Destiny. They just stopped making Halos and escaped Microsoft's clutches.
Yeah, why? Howard isn't a bad guy or anything, he's just similar to molyneux where he hypes shit to an 11
didn't bungie say like a year ago that they didn't know that people played games on PC anymore?

I never understood this. I've never seen him mislead in any way that any other dev does when they switch to market-speak anyway. Unlike Molyneux, he never runs his mouth off about stuff and shit. He just says some shit is dynamic when it obviously is a setpiece, just like EVERYONE ELSE does.
you are all as retarded as each other and will continue to be so until you stop posting about ratings altogether
on another note, is it just me who prefers bungie to valve?

I don't understand this. I'm not even a Valve fanboy, but what has Bungie ever done to warrant that love? One series that grew state the second numbers got attached tot he title and now some Pseudo MMO. My mental image of Bungie is some bespeckled crossing between a boring nerd with shit vision and a hipster that wears them for looks.
What i'm saying is: Valve doesn't impress me much, but Bungie... I mean. Who are they even? They're so invisible. have they really done anything big?
Halo is great.
Good on the guy, for being hired by such an amazing developer.
Wish him the best of luck!
hah bungie milk their games?
because putting as much flexibility as you can into a shooter, letting people make their own maps instead of always relying on the devs, and having years inbetween main releases is milking, right?

How old are you?

To be fair, they really got locked into making more Halo games. After their game Myth II got recalled, they were pretty much in the financial shitter, and their game Halo, which was originally a Mac exclusive tactical squad-based RTS, was bought up by Microsoft to keep them from going under. Of course after Halo's success, they forced Bungie to make sequel after sequel.
But as for saying they haven't done anything big, you're not looking hard enough. Their previous games were pretty great. The Marathon games were the first FPS games I played and I still go back to them! It did a lot of things that were new to the series and sadly gets overlooked for being as influential as it was. Myth was a fantastic RTS, and Pathways Into Darkness was a damn fine shooter. They're not as big as the nebulous gaming behemoth that was Halo, but to deny them being damn good games is silly.
And beyond their games, they've just got personality. Compared to a lot of companies, they actually seem like people making games, not robots. They're all involved with their community more so than I can say for a lot of other developers, and actually run a Bungie community that's larger than just discussing about their games. And from things like frequent podcasts that cover topics ranging from inviting in different people to explain their job, or talking about upcoming released or just goofing off, or making their 7 Step Plan For World Domination known to everyone, they definitely have a lot more personality and character than most other developers.

No, they finally got out of their contract with Microsoft. Basically Microsoft they demanded they make nothing but Halo until specified otherwise, In 2007, Bungie made their way out of the bind, but were required to make 2 more Halo games (ODST and Reach). Now they've moved on to work on a new IP, Destiny, which is looking pretty sharp. Halo however is still in the hands of Microsoft being developed by 343 Industries, makers of Halo 4 and soon Halo 5 and 6.... And they're just plain awful.
my god will you people get over it.
big woop if someone cares about what rating they get, stop shitting up the thread
You're all acting like a bunch of children, especially wasting $5 for a stupid title
I gave them the title because he was shitting up the thread over a pixel box
Probably just a joke but I've always thought that Bungie made fantastic quality maps for their games (both singleplayer and multiplayer). Skyboxes are always orgasmic, too.
your damn right they make really good maps
it has both function (balance) and still retains very very good amount of possibilities.
Classic SH
It's good to see people get hired off of their fantastic work, and really if this keep up on the spotlight with the rest of the other people who gone though the same process like "keal" who made the fall from heaven 2 mod that got hired by stardock to make Fallen Enchantress.
funfact i made this username in 2007, 1. i was 8, 2. my name has nothing to do with halo, it's just a coincidence i love it so
lol you're like 12
Guys, you do realise its a 2 week old article, right?
They matter to me? What am I not allowed to see that ratings have meaning? 'stop acting like they matter.' Well then I might aswell just say 'Stop acting like your post matters'. Same thing, might not mean it matters to me, but it most likely matters to you
they matter a little but don't respond to them. Respond when someone actually replies to you.
Are you joking? I'm stating my opinion on what I like, what am I going to be called dumb for then? Having an opinion? Yeah, no. If people don't agree with me they disagree. They don't call me out on being 'dumb'. And that whole post comprises of that one opinion of mine, so whether you like my opinion or not I shouldn't be called dumb over it. It's like saying: 'You like games from X more than Y? What a fucking dumbass you are'. If you're saying that I'm shitposting because I state my opinion on two companies, then you might aswell call yourself a shitposter cause you're stating an opinion on me.
Meanwhile everyone realizes that nobody brought Valve up until you which is a dead giveaway that all you were doing was trying to start conflict

This matters somehow?
I've seen 13 year olds that act more mature than some of the 20+ year olds on here.
