I haven't played a Battlefield game I didn't like and it's on a two year release schedule.

just confirming what I said really.
i guess bad company 2 was a good sequel to bad company 1.. kind of.. but unless they turn the mcom stations back into gold crates and base the dialog off of Kelly's Heroes i see zero fucking point at all at calling it bad company because that was p much bad company's premise.. bad company gets shat because they are bad company.. hence the title.. so they go after gold like in kelly's heroes.
BC2 had a cliffhanger ending so it'd be stupid to not make a sequel

what the fuck happened to this guy http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130629070729/battlefield/images/a/a5/BFBC_THE_LEGIONNAIRE.jpg
in bad company 2 they weren't even bad company.. they were in some specialist squad for some reason even though technically they are rejects. sweetwater uploaded a virus to the army's computers, haggard accidently blew up an ammo depot, preston hijacked a helicopter, and redford agreed to be squadleader in exchange for less years of service.

Why do people keep saying this? The ending to bc2 was the multiplayer.

Yeah, BF games were so much better when they -

Oh wait
I want BFBC3 to be BFBC:2143
You're Marlowe's grandkid who's been paired up with the grandkids of all the other bad company members to form a future-bad-company and that is just a coincidence. You wreck shit in this new future setting, pilot walkers and shit, and at one point capture an entire titan all by yourselves. Also your dropship pilot is an AI that's based on Flynn, because why not.
Being serious, it wouldn't be that far-fetched to hope for a 2142 expansion to BC3 that's like the Vietnam expansion for BC2, would it?

honestly, the original bad company had a much more unique storyline than bc2, rogue soldiers on a gold hunt > operaters operating
They should set Bad Company 3 in an alternate reality and make the multiplayer more arcadey like Halo.
Yeah because what we need right now is another arcade shooter.
Maybe he'll come back with his mercenaries in Bad Company 3
it should be like this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KM9M4mKG7XY
but who knows maybe some other direction would be good i just really liked bad company 1 vs 2. i did like how bc2's singleplayer was indiana jones-like and i especially LOVED the free content they gave after release. 3-5 additional maps after release will earn them my buy too.
also am i the only one who thinks bad company 1 had AMAZING sound design that blows away the other games? when you fired the gun everything would get quieter for a second so that the sound sounds relatively louder when it ends in quiet and then you hear the ambiance. i remember watching a sound design interview where the guy talked about how they give sounds a rating of 1-10 and make the quiet sounds quieter when the loud sounds play. they did not do that in bc2/bf3.
also the buildings in bc1 were placed densely which would usually make a game shitty but the walls of all of the buildings are destructible. they gave you 8 grenades to go crazy with and all of the explosions were great with dat sound design.
look at 2:50
ALSO AS A BONUS in the video i posted above you can see how hard it is to render shadows in the frostbite engine. the devs show you at like 2:35

a BC1 PC port could come in handy if DICE wants some of the PC market, i've heard so much about how it's a great SP experience yet it's only available on console
I prefered BC2 to BF3 tbh. The destruction physics and the maps were better, and I preferred the classes in that game to BF3. Also far less CoD influence because DICE wasn't all obsessed with talking shit about CoD every interview back then.
Ideally, Battlefield 2143 would come out first, and as a standalone instead of a DLC.
And Bad Company 3's storyline being a comical mocking of all FPS games like Bad Company 1 was.

Bad Company 2's story was supposed to be satirical too, they just forgot all the humour and fun that made Bad Company great
Though Sweetwater's joke about "pussy ass heartbeat sensors" was pretty good
If there's one thing I hope they pull off, it's to get the multiplayer chatter done just as perfectly as in BC2. Both sides were just a joy to listen to, through and through, and I was really disappointed when I learned Battlefield 3 had everyone sound alike.
It's just not the same when you don't have US troops shouting CATCH THIS SHIT MOTHERFUCKER as they stick knives in Russians.
Actually I wonder what's the use of creating another Bad Company if Battlefield 4 is being developped?
The singleplayer might be a neat addition but it didn't warrant a purchase, the focus was always on multiplayer. Nevertheless I really enjoyed Bad Company 2 on the pc, it was pretty atmospheric.
I always hated the BC series, it removed so much stuff from BF that I loved, huge teams, prone, squad naming, squad member amount, commander, commands in general, huge maps, jets and so on. I only wanted a real BF next gen sequel since BC1.
Bad Company was just a bunch of Frostbite tech demos to me, but I get it why people dig the SP part of series.
Even BF3 on PC let me down, with 4 man squads and no ingame voip or commander, it seems that bf4 will be the one to make me finally happy I hope.
...But god damn it I want 2143 with titan mode to return so bad!
Fuck BC3. I'm sick of the modern shooters. 2143 please.
Nice.
I still think Bad Company 2 is better than BF3, and certainly better than what I've played of BF4 so far. The destruction is as advertised and not toned down, it tries to be like Call of Duty far less than BF3 and be its own game. It's just better
This is exactly how I feel about it. I've been trying to like BF3 and BF4 but after playing Bad Company 2 it's pretty tough. I liked that BC2 made camping the least useful tactic, with most walls being destructible and no prone. I thought the lack of prone would be weird but after playing it I can see why they did it.
BC2 just felt more alive, while BF3 feels really slow and campy. Some of that can be blamed on map design though (Metro meat-grinder anyone?)
Would it really be any different from the last two games in the (Battlefield) series?
Yeah, Bad Company actually has destruction. BC came out and was basically the prototype for what would become Battlefield 3. They refined it in BC2. Then BF3 came out and they just said Fuck it, have the very minimal of damage. They even hugely toned down terrain deformation. So far BF4 looks like it's toned down even more
I'll be happy to see a new Bad Company. They're more battlefield than BF3 or 4
BC2 was the first time in a while that I genuinely enjoyed the SP of a modern styled shooter. I found it rather funny.
They need to make the campaign less serious. Go back to the style of BC1.

Can somebody please explain to me what's the point of BC3?
I thought the Bad Company series in general was something to fill the gap until the real BF sequel came, but now that we have Battlefield 3 and BF4 coming soon, why do we need this?

because the Bad Company series is better than the 'real' Battlefield series
I still think bad company 1 is the best battlefield game (on consoles).
Something just felt right, the sounds, the art style, the skill required etc etc
vietnam in bc2 wasn't free but supposly it was really good
but bc2 was really fun with just the stock maps blowing buildings up where snipers were in, only complaint was that it felt like you were slipping on ice in some of those environments
Vietnam was the fucking best DLC I've ever bought.
