What's with all of the "I Am Legend" jokes?
Honestly if it were to mutate into anything, it would be a flesh-eating virus, right? It targets cancer cells, so the thing that it would mutate into is something that just eats cells, period.

In I am Legend they engineer a virus to seek out and kill cancer cells, later the virus mutates and they turn into beings that are supposed to be similar to vampires.
(because the book I am Legend was about vampires, not infected humans)
As amazing as this is, so many scientific advancements make me worry about the future.
I mean these cures and medicines people produce could have serious negative effects. What if it was found to be harmful and somehow was able to spread? I know it's extremely unlikely, but with all these advances in biological science I think it's only a matter of time before the shit hits the fan, what with the population density being what it is in cities now.
That is if some kind of weapons technology or experiement of another kind doesn't kill us all first.
We're almost certain to destroy ourselves at some point in the future, it's such a fragile system.

This virus will make mannequins move.
That scene fucked with my head so much whe I watched it at the cinema.
I wonder how much treatment like that could cost. I mean a few viruses shouldn't cost that if they have trillions. But of course they won't be making any money that way.
