Yeah, so what if he's known to be cold and uncaring about the conditions the childrens who life he affects suffer with. That's a sign of not only a fine teacher, but just a great person in general, right?
Well a lot of people make fun of retards, hell they do it here on facepunch too. If he teaches good and is caring at the work place then it shouldn't matter what he says on facebook. I work my ass off at my workplace and act professonal, but when I go home i might say I work with a bunch of dumbasses that can't tell their ass from their elbow. I may even make fun of my work, does that mean I don't care? Does it mean I'm incompetent? No. >A lot of teachers have say shit and hate kids, maybe they just like the topic they teach, who knows.
Oh god let's hope their feelings weren't hurt!
I want to see a mirror of his facebook.

And if any says "he could", slippery slope argument, doesn't work.
I want to see a mirror of his facebook.
What do you mean by mirror? His actual Facebook is in the OP.
Cases like this makes it no surprise that the USA has the worst child abuse record in the industrialised world. [editline]17th October 2011[/editline] By a significant margin.
Yes, this guy is an asshole, but who's fucking business is it what he does on Facebook? He's not making fun of the kids in the school. He's doing it on his private social networking profile. Who fucking cares what he does on his fucking facebook as long as he's not friending 13 year olds and tricking them into rape with candy. Christ.
It's completely relevant, he teaches special needs students and then decided to go insult special needs students behind their back. It undermines his ability to teach properly and impartially. Think of an analogous racial situation and imagine your reaction to that, apply it to this
This is all incredibly fucked up, and wrong. Don't get me wrong, but:
Viki Knox, a special education teacher in New Jersey, is currently under investigation for posting anti-gay comments to Facebook. .
Sure anti-gay comments are bad, but isn't posting your (albeit ignorant) opinion on Facebook your right? I can see the issue of judgement since she's a teacher, but I've had a bunch of teachers who've had opinions I disagree with; and as long as she's not preaching it into the classroom why is she in trouble? Unless they mean her mocking her gay students, then that's just not cool.
Hate speech isn't a right.
"Laws prohibiting hate speech are unconstitutional in the United States, outside of obscenity, defamation, incitement to riot, and fighting words. The United States federal government and state governments are broadly forbidden by the First Amendment of the Constitution from restricting speech."

The latter undermines free speech so much more than the former.
North Jersey is all shit. I live in South Jersey. We have nice fields of farms with surrounding forests of lovely wildlife. North Jersey has polluting cities full of corrupted politicians and Jersey Shore idiots.
jersey shore is south jersey tho
jersey shore is south jersey tho
I thought Seaside Heights was up north!
Too true, way too much room for subjectivity and double standards there.
Its the language of the constitution.
