No one seems to give a fuck that industry lobbyists are locking the entertainment industry down to the point where everyone who doesn't follow the expressed wishes of the MPAA/RIAA are deemed criminals, or directly including international politics with a "super secret" Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement.

She got what she deserved for singing Happy Birthday in the middle of a movie theatre.

I think the authorities purposely arrest the people doing the smallest things to set an example. If they had arrested someone for filming the whole movie people who are filming only part of it might think they can get away with it. But these people didn't even do anything wrong. It's stupid.

It's just the small ones like that that get in the news because the people go to newspapers saying "OMG I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING I'M A VICTIM! RUN A BIASED STORY ABOUT ME PLZ!"

She broke the law. She is receiving the punishment that has been in effect for a long time now. End of. It doesn't matter what your intentions were nor does it matter how long you did it for. The law doesn't make allowances for people like this.

This is dumb, zero-tolerance laws are horrible. However, I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon saying that piracy of a movie is alright. I think it's one thing to rip and share(for free) a movie with people. However, I absolutely hate the people who go into theaters with video cameras in order to sell the movie. It brings the whole industry down because quality in the movies is shit(have you ever watched a cam movie? It's fucking horrible), and these bastards make money off of a shitty product that they don't even own legally. So fuck bootleggers. If you sell a fucking movie then royalties should somehow go to the people that made it.
