you know actually, he has a point with that alcohol thing. if someone isn't at fault for something a mental illness makes them do, which is essentially just a bunch of chemicals making you feel a certain way, then why are drunk people at fault? being drunk is essentially the same thing, chemicals making you feel a certain way
drunk people are at fault because its a temporary thing and (supposedly) they had a choice to consume the intoxicant
thou you could argue that some people are genetically predisposed to alcohol addiction and it wouldnt be their fault if they got addicted ;0
i guess there's no point in having empathy for people, going to school, breathing, thinking, being yourself, or doing literally anything in your life because everything is just chemicals, including this internet argument with some guys who don't understand the severity of depression and bullying.
well that's an entirely different thing that you should deal with yourself, but you still haven't actually given me a good argument

why would it matter if it's temporary, wtf? and just because they had a choice to consume alcohol doesn't mean shit, they never asked for what happened, after all.

where's your argument? is this it?

are you for real comparing the deliberate consumption of a mind-altering substance to depression?

we fault them for choosing to consume it irresponsibly?

Yes, they are both mind altering. Alcohol consumption being deliberate changes absolutely nothing IMO, because even if they made that decision on purpose, it's not as if they intended for that to happen.

irresponsibly? they're just tryna have some fun y'know, it isn't their fault they somehow managed to get in the car, they would've NEVER done that if they were in their right mind (that is to say, if they were in their right mind and they knew they would be completely unable to safely drive, they wouldn't do it)

explain to me how it being deliberate doesn't matter
i'd like to hear your explanation
explain to me how it being deliberate doesn't matter

How does it matter? I would really love to see your explanation.
It being deliberate makes no difference because when they make that choice to drink alcohol, they made that choice to have fun, not to kill anyone or whatever. Every choice made under their drunkenness would've never been made otherwise, so after they get drunk, all bets are off.

i c what you are saying, obviously no-one goes out of their way to cause harm to others. i guess thats just the risk and responsibility that comes with allowing alcohol to be consumed by the mass public.

The ratio of agrees in this is depressive. Why are we even pointing this out?

Yeah, I know I'm pages late here but why the hell would it only be sad if she was conventionally attractive. A person's worth is not determined by how attractive they are
how is it relevant?
Because her depression was supposedly spurred on by comments on her appearance. You're right, their worth is definitely not determined by how attractive they are. That's why we consider bullying mean.

You misread/misunderstood. We're not asking why is it relevant how she looks, we're asking why her appearance has anything to do with it being a shame. It's sad no matter how they look

Oh, yeah I did misread.
What the fuck USA. Here red hair is considered best hair.
You can thank South Park for that
No. You can thank England-Ireland politics for that
My classmate has red hair, people give him shit all the time because of it.
Last year some girls said his mother cheated on his fathe, really fucking depressing that that kind of thing happens because they're born with it.
If you're a redhead, like me, do what I did, and grow a beard.
No one fucks with a redhead with a beard because now I look like a viking.
Yes, thank you, was about to illustrate that point

Badassness level increased by 500%
I don't understand dumb blind hate.
I really want to know what was going through their fucking heads apart from "LOL KICK A GINGER DAY".
Oh wait, that's all they were thinking, wasn't it?
No. You can thank England-Ireland politics for that
The British isles in general have a lot of redheads though so that doesn't really work, goes scotland > ireland > wales > england for highest proportions of redheads worldwide
The ratio of agrees in this is depressive. Why are we even pointing this out?
It wouldn't be news if she wasn't.
lol if you haven't been suicidal shut the fuck up
i've had severe depression for 2 years straight and your mind tells you 24/7 'kill yourself', and if you aren't mentally strong enough you. are. fucked.
seriously, with that thought in mind you are slowly being driven fucking insane every god damned second you live, looking at everything that could kill you with intent to do so, etc. it only gets worse.
this 15 yo girl had to be thinking about suicide as an option for at least a month. you just don't do it out of the blue. so while her bullies were tormenting her, so was her own fucking mind, that is that. it's all too much to take in physically and mentally and she couldn't handle the buildup of bullshit. her only literal 'this will work for sure' solution was suicide.
you see, the difference between a drunk driver killing five people and people killing themselves is one did it by accident, and the other was no accident.
i feel bad for her, i really do, i cant imagine what could have processed through her mind at an age of 15 to end her own life.
No. You can thank England-Ireland politics for that
No, its as simple as redheads being uncommon and different. And people who are different and stand out are usually the easy targets for bullying.
A lot of unnecessary bans in this thread.
haircolor and a tan are not the same as being black

lol except dying your hair doesn't magically make you not a ginger by birth
It was made fun of by south park because it was an issue. its just an issue that... caught on as a running joke with the show.
south park didn't even make fun of gingers either, they made light of the issues
people don't seem to get the deeper meaning of this shit though, its annoying
