Considering most of Australia's land is desert, you'd think the Somalians, etc. would have no interest there.
Seriously, why Australia out of all the other nations in the area?
They are trying to uncover our kangaroo calvary.
Much worse than bear since they kick box.

Australia is a very western place, in face it's the only 'western' country in the 'area' apart from New Zealand.
Carrying out an attack like this is effectively bringing conflict to a country heavily allied with all other western powers, thus sending a message that they can and will continue to attack targets.
Terrorists are yet to carry out a successful attack in Australia without getting majorly busted like this, so it may also be a drawcard.
It's kind of dumb of them to tell us they're looking for the terrorists, the terrorists might find out and then they'd be harder to catch.
This is why America is in charge of the War on Terror, people. This is why we sit at the head of the table.
Unfortunately it's not you who takes part on "The War on Terror". I'm pretty sure you've done nothing but do what regular people do.
People who say Australia is a desert full of sheep are fucking dumbarses who need to go to Australia.

That's another thing I don't get.
Attacking Australia with small, pirate/terrorist bands that couldn't actually fight a full-scale war isn't a good idea, as Australia has very powerful allies. Somalia, etc. are threateninig to smaller nations, but why would they attack Australia if they know nearly every major nation in Western Europe and North America will be on their side? That's like asking to be destroyed. Australia isn't even a profittable target.
This happened about 12 hours ago, when they raided the people's houses.
The Australian troops arn't even doing much over in the Middle East, really.
But planning to kill people that are defending your country is something that deserves a harsh punishment.
But they did say their people where being mistreated.
But Holsworthy is a hole anyway.

New Zealand is one big mountain with some sheep on it :downs:
It's actually kind of interesting, did they ever get access to automatic weapons? It says they planned, but it doesn't say whether weapons were found. I mean those aren't exactly found on street corners, it's A LOT easier to just bake up your own bomb from garden supplies.
Cue the Mission Impossible theme.
I lol'd at the aussies and their funny guns.
the most serious terrorist attack on Australian soil
oh fuck
even more serious than that one time that al qaeda killed ten whole koala bears

They aren't bears I'll have you know.
Also, quad bikes aren't bikes and I wish people would stop labeling them as such.
And twilight the movie isn't a real movie.
They aren't bears I'll have you know.
no because bears actually do shit koalas just sit around waiting to die
no because bears actually do shit koalas just sit around waiting to die
Wrong again, the typical koala lifestyle consists of getting high and falling out of trees.
Who would waste their time terrorizing Australia?
I mean, the whole country's a desert.
Yes, it happens all the time in Australia.
Sydney is a bigger city though.
Most of Australia is desert, but the coast is either forest or city.

The terrorists will blend in there though. Holsworthy is full of Indians.

Whenever I go to Flinders Street Station I always stand under the monitors for it to tell me which platform to go to, and it's always the same damn platform. I should probably just go to that platform from now on, but I forget which one it is, and when I do remember I'm paranoid that, for some odd reason, the train will arrive at a different platform for once.
I completely went off topic, there. Terrorists, etc, etc. Woo. Whatever.

Western Australia is a shithole, and Australia has hardly any people, but it seems alot because they're concentrated into part of the coastline.

^Population distribution
And apparently, the average family size is 2.7 people. Including 2 parents.
That's why the Australian Government is pushing immigration into Australia,
because there are more adults than children, then when all the adults retire, the amount of tax money received will drop like a Drop Bear.
Those terrorists are retarded.
Yea, attack Holdsworthey barracks, where the Australian Commandos are based, They'd get there asses kicked
I actually live across the valley from the Holsworthy army reserve, I can hear each and every rifle and cannon that goes off.
I wonder where Rincewind was?
Man the Jarate Jars!
Fun fact:
My cousin is currently based at Holsworthy barracks as an advanced combat instructor.
Apparently they are tightening security considerably right now.

I swear it's Holsworthy, the military reserve is all along in the bush, they have fences set up saying that there's may be live fire excersises going on.
