Having to put a 15K bond to become a politician is on the same level of bullshit as having to be rich in order to even get anywhere with your campaign. Plus, you know that if the candidate doesn't win, they probably spent several hundred thousand on their campaign and that's not even running for something big. Also, kinda speaks out loud about how corrupt Singapore must be - walling off running for government like that is what prevents small parties from ever getting anywhere and doing any good, even though we all know that those small parties always get stomped anyway - it doesn't make it any easier...
