Guide dogs are awesome. My dad had one.
We had to put her down a couple months ago though.
Glad that Kent and Robert are all good.
Dog yanked him so hard he flew past the dog and hit the curb. Would've probably had time to run back and save himself, but then the owner would be hit.
Sounds more like the dog was just running away but got fucked over by momentum...
Really shows how smart some dogs are, the dog in this situation clearly knew what was going on and reacted quickly. Had there been a video of this, it would probably be one I'd never forget.
Who cares about some stupid mutt.
For every story of this shit there would be a million where it would just watch and do nothing.
What is with man kinds obsession with such a stupid shallow animal?
oh i'm sorry, i forgot i can't be happy that a man and a dog both survived a potentially fatal accident just because others haven't

i guess i also shouldn't be happy that i have food on my plate because there are starving kids in africa

Oh sweet, what a brave dog.
"gets hit by car"
OH SHIT WHAT THE FU-
"is okay"
oh good..
Emotional rollercoaster title.
Golden retrievers are the best dogs.
But guide dogs with owners go off the scale with how loyal they are.
Guide dogs go in front. Only with blind people are guide dogs allowed to be alpha male. Otherwise they need to go behind people. As alpha males they must protect their herd, like this man. And they'll very often go out of their way and sacrifice themselves to protect their herd as alpha male.
Also, remember voremeplz's RC thread where one of the pictures was a man beating a dog to death with a shovel? VladimirIlyic put that in "Videos and Flash Movies and That kind of Crap" with the title "Funny video". Wonder why he has a strong hatred for them.
Back on topic, this is just amazing how they managed to both survive an (almost fatal) car accident.
If I ever meet that dog I will make sure to give him a nice lovely pat on the head.
Guys, I think I figured out how the dog managed to pull his owner out of the way, while being in the way of the car itself.
