That doesn't stop alot of other things from being discussed.
I'm saying MLP/bronies get more attention than it deserves, while everything else you listed is an actual issue that matters.
I'm numb to this topic because I just read that one with the jacket that simulates hugs. Simulates... hugs... japan... the fuck.
Is it just me or do the toys/merchandise of this franchise's generation look nothing at all like the show's source material and fit into uncanny valley. I mean I get the toys want to have a past generation appearance but the whole style just looks horrifying and not fit the show design at all.
Bronies are not typically despised for enjoying the show. The reason so many people, including myself, despise the fandom is because of certain individuals who are obnoxiously flamboyant about their passion for the show. There are quite a few people in my classes who bring up the show on a day-to-day basis and irritatingly reference it during class discussions.
As far as I am concerned, there are two types of men who enjoy My Little Pony; people who enjoy the show and are respectfully quiet about it, and people who identify as Bronies and obnoxiously flaunt their passion. I respect the former and hate the latter.
That sounds fine and all, but then you get posts like this
I recommend pouring sulfuric acid all over yourself and getting defibrillated into asystole, but that's just me.
...which make it really obvious this has nothing to do with "flaunting"

Yes, yes they do. That's why there's so many fanmade toys because the official merch is generally pretty bad.

pongies
now available in "hot dog"
The MLP fandom is not a mere fandom! It is a culture made up of millions of people!
... :suicide:

Fan's create alot of awesome stuff. I would buy from them.

The fans make much better work than any pony plush that has been actually put on shelves. If I were going to buy one I'd get it from another fan instead of going inside an establishment indefinitely and specifically meant for young girls.
My biggest issue in this matter is that some of the MLP fans are sexually attracted to those toys. For me that's simply zoofilia but.. stranger.

It's definitely not the norm, but sexual activity with a plush toy (and clop) are far far from zoophilia.
If they really wanted to make a mint, they'd crank out pony bases and make 'em just as customizable as the bears.
Can you imagine being at the helm of an official "Create your own original character" market for something like this? You could probably retire by the end of the month.
You've gotta be pretty far off your rocker to actually engage in sexual activity with a plush toy, but it and clop is far far from zoophilia.
Do you? I mean, I understand why people are grossed out, but it's just a fetish. There's far worse in that realm and I wouldn't even argue those people are crazy.
I'm not sure we have a Build-A-Bear here. I would spend all my money on this!!
I can't wait to see all the viral pictures of greasy looking stereotypical "bronies" swarm the Build-a-Bear workshops in a couple of weeks.
It's funny how talking about pony plushies always leads into fucking them.
My girlfriend was telling me about build a bear, I'd never heard of it before. Sounded like the most middle class thing ever
man maybe i should start making pony plushies.
i'm no brony but you guys seem to love stuffed ponies and i got most of the materials at my house.

That's not the only possible usage..

Plushophilia is absolutely nothing like zoophilia

"pony too, it'll be a funny place to put this knife."

'pretty far off your rocker' was probably a huge overstatement. You're right, it isn't crazy it's just not what most consider normal, and it isn't even a big enough deal that others should be worried about the people who do it.
Daijitsu is coming.
Nah I'm kidding.
"and there you go... just gotta sew the stuffing hole up here"
"wait dont, its ok that way"
"but the stuffing can come out"
"i eh um want it that way"

I know at least two artists who weren't furries but did furry porn comissions back when furries were the internet punching bag because people will literally pay ten times what they'd pay for a ~yaoi~ piece if the characters have a funky color and tails on them
You should get into the pony plush OC business
I still don't understand that Lyra plush. Is the hole for your hand or your dick?

Its a gamble.
On the one hand they will make SO MUCH money from whatever lurks on deviant-art
on the other hand they risk their usual customers being scared away in a tidal wave of grease and lard rampaging amidst a cheeto-dust sand storm.
jokes aside, that might actully be a real consern, if i was some non internet-joke-savvy middle class parent, i certainly wouldnt want to take my kids into a toy shop filled with bronies becuase, lets face it
most of the "out" ones look like steriotypical sex offenders.
I still don't understand that Lyra plush. Is the hole for your hand or your dick?
It was sold as having a "hole in the back you can stick your penis in".

Think you might be over exaggerating it a wee bit.

It sold incredibly well... 700$ each I think.
