The thing is that it isnt a couple of people
I am not seeing the point of your comment. Even if there were thousands of people who are extreme with their passion for the show, there are many tens of thousands of people who keep things to themselves. You're generalizing. See Ezhik's post.
Since some of Facepunch's users are assholes, others could potentially say that everyone on Facepunch in an asshole. But I'm not going to, because that's stupid, ignorant and just plain wrong.

Go check deviantart apreciation station, and take a look to all those horrible badly made ponifications of games like biosock infinite
that thread is made with the purpose of showing the worst of deviantart, they never post good creations
i remember seeing these in LMAO pics a while back. most people liked them iirc.

crossovers like this are totally fine, and i can see how people who enjoy MLP can appreciate them, it seems the hate for them just come from the negative stereotypes about MLP fans. they're not bad just because they're MLP and i don't see them that often except when people are complaining about them in LMAO pics, are they that hard to ignore?
[editline]7th April 2013[/editline]
i mean if the internet really is littered with this shit and it's hard to ignore and i just don't experience it, then i can see how that could get annoying, but i just see it as people going out of there way to hate something that isn't really causing much harm
Horrible badly made? This was the first thing I found when I searched for bioshock infinte and ponies. Pony or not, this is good art.

Except its not, why shove fandoms on anything that has literally no similarities. I rarely see it with homestuck, unless its just clothing stuff. Hell furry stuff rarely has crossovers and when it does it makes me cringe.
I have also noticed that furry art/community has become much MUCH more tame since mlp was a thing. Only anoying thing is furry art sites are being flooded with mlp bullshit.

People with multiple interests generally like to combine the two. They're not trying to "shove" it on anyone, or anything, they're just crossing the two because they like them both, it's the same reason people put bacon and chocolate on so many things: they like them both.
Are you suggesting we would cannibalize our pony hug pillows?
No, he is suggesting for a fact that y'all find these cartoon ponies sexually exciting, and we all know what would happen were you given a pony toy.
No, he is suggesting for a fact that y'all find these cartoon ponies sexually exciting, and we all know what would happen were you given a pony toy.
You mean he might hug it in a completely non-sexual way, or place it on a shelf for the world to see?
A bear is not a Pony. We have a conundrum here.
No we don't.
It's called Build-a-Bear Workshop for a reason. A bear is not a pony, and a pony is not a bear, therefore the pony has no place in Build-a-Bear Workshop.

No, its still a terrible thing to crossover. What in the fin flapping christ does ponies have to do with BSI? Absolutely fucking nothing. Prime example of mlp fans shoving shit on everything and everyone is god damn military drawings.
Here we have a furry soldier pic (of milkandcooki): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9955397/
It fits because they atleast have a humanoid body with digits on their hands while keeping a serious/fearsome face with the actual art very nicely done.
And then we got mlp soldier pics: http://e621.net/data/34/e7/34e757cb2e0a5b24e46d14cbe9f7fdbc.jpg?1328759915
It doesnt fit because the character looks silly and cartoony, doesnt have a humanoid figure at all, is not serious at all, and overall looks really fucking dumb and forced in place.

Are you even aware of what the word crossover even means? Of course the two works have nothing to do with each other; that's the whole point of it: to bring them together through art, writing or whatever.
And nobody who creates these crossovers has the intention of shoving their work into your faces. They just want to display their work on the Internet, like many other people. You don't like it? Your opinion is shared by others, but they manage to ignore the stuff they don't like and not sound like a whiny bitch.
Except its not, why shove fandoms on anything that has literally no similarities. I rarely see it with homestuck
Actully Ive noticed it quite often with homestuck, but its always linked in some way to the character featured or a running joke.
either the character that is replaced has a similar look or personality to a character in homestuck, or they are doing somthing that mirrors an event in the comic-
but, i agree, whenever i see it done with mlp its just done for the sake of it. the bioshock one is a perfect example,
what similarities does booker share with that particular horse?, same for the one replacing liz, why bother doing it?
it doesnt bother me that much, but you can see why people would be irritated when they cant look up artwork of anything they like without having to pick through pages of some-one elses' weird fandom.
I wonder if you can put fedoras on them
I wonder if you can put fedoras on them
oh my GOD
you're starting a shitstorm within a shitstorm you crazy fuck
Are you even aware of what the word crossover even means? I've seen Harry Potter crossovered with literally every piece of work in existence and most of the time the two mediums don't have a single fucking thing to do with each other.

Like the guy above it is shoving it in people's faces when they spam it on all art boards and get away with it because of it being partly related to the other subject that isnt mlp.
