Islamic State warned in a new video on Monday that countries taking part in air strikes against Syria would suffer the same fate as France, and threatened to attack in Washington. The video, which appeared on a site used by Islamic State to post its messages, begins with news footage of the aftermath of Friday's Paris shootings in which at least 129 people were killed. The message to countries involved in what it called the "crusader campaign" was delivered by a man dressed in fatigues and a turban, and identified in subtitles as Al Ghareeb the Algerian. "We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day, God willing, like France's and by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington," the man said.
As a DC resident - I fucking dare you, cowards. You're pissed off about us dropping firecrackers on your front yard now? Just wait until we break out the big guns. First the bear and now the eagle. Rip isis
Extirpate these slime, and this time make sure that the circumstances that allowed them to form don't get repeated. It wouldn't do for somebody else to get big ideas after IS gets smashed.

Ohhhh man, these guys are complete bonkers... What are they even trying to achieve? They've threatened a fuckton of countries already, but more exclusively, the US and Russia. I just don't understand what they are trying to accomplish lol they really do have a deathwish

Two obscure people due all the attention they receive end up having a movie and a position at the UN. Where if everyone ignored the letter, nothing wouldve come of it.

I live in the DC area (not DC proper), and I'm going to keep visiting DC whenever I want. More afraid of thugs and gigantic rats than I am ISIS
I live in the DC area (not DC proper), and I'm going to keep visiting DC whenever I want. More afraid of thugs and gigantic rats than I am ISIS
gigantic rats?...
First the bear and now the eagle. Rip isis
don't forget the baguette.
ISIS is like some salty kid on Xbox Live that just keeps saying "I'm going to come to ur house, and rip ur head off, and break ur arm!!!!111"
ISIS is like some salty kid on Xbox Live that just keeps saying "I'm going to come to ur house, and rip ur head off, and break ur arm!!!!111"
That's implying ISIS doesn't follow through on their threats. [editline]16th November 2015[/editline] This isn't North Korea we're talking about, you know.
gigantic rats?...
Norwegian Greys. They're the size of footballs (American). It's a little documented phenomenon, but if you go to a public park at night, you can see gigantic sillhouettes running around collecting the food that tourists have dropped throughout the day. There's a sort of plateau in DC that's just a big slab of concrete with quotes from the founding fathers. If you look at the plateau from ground level, you can see the silhouettes perfectly against the street lights in the background.
I grew up in DC so terror threats don't even faze me anymore. There's already snipers on every other rooftop and security gets ramped up when there's a credible threat, so I can't say I expect much.
ISIS is like some salty kid on Xbox Live that just keeps saying "I'm going to come to ur house, and rip ur head off, and break ur arm!!!!111"
They're just doing what almost every terrorist group has done before them:
They're trying to get the world to invade and polarize the situation more so they can exploit the bystanders to join their cause.
Don't underestimate your enemy. They're not stupid, they know what's going to happen and they'll use it for their own ends.
Good thing Obama is still letting "refugees" in.
I was gonna expect something more like an attack on Philly/NY/LA/etc.
If enough nations worked together seriously and with a clear goal in mind I think that ISIS could be defeated permanently, and if those nations kept working together to invest into the middle east after that the problems could be solved within our lifetime. The Soviets pretty much fucked everything up at the start, and then an overconfident U.S. stuck itself in afterwards, and in that time no other nations have seriously joined the offensives on the scale we have. I know Canada and Britain just to name a few have aided the U.S., don't get me wrong, just not on the same scale of deployment. Russia is now invested in fighting. The U.S. is literally built for and has been fighting. Israel is always fighting. France appears to be ready to fight. And Japan has started to rethink their stances on fighting terrorism. I really think it's only a matter of time, ISIS might have stirred the hive more than they intended. Unfortunately it's likely going to take more attacks on places like Britain or Germany before other nations realize something absolutely has to be done.
as much as I'd like to agree with this sentiment you can't bomb an idea
You can, however, change the idea. All we need to do is to take over and make them ours.
as much as I'd like to agree with this sentiment you can't bomb an idea
Which is why, with the combined wealth and might of multiple nations, resources are spent rebuilding the middle east. The idea of radical Islam is a fairly new one and, obviously, we've seen that military occupation doesn't work and neither does pulling out. Which is why I said it could be solved within our lifetime, it's going to take a few generations of education and diplomacy to fix things, the bombs are just so we can get to that point. Realistically the world really just isn't in the shape to do that, but it's something that has to be done at some point. The Middle East isn't going to fix itself, especially when the more influential nations of the Middle East don't really care to try.
these threats arent new

Sadat was attempting to broker a peace deal with Israel when he was assassinated by some of his own military. This was just around 1979, when Egypt was a westernized nation. In short, the middle east has been unstable for most of modern history, regardless of how much the west's culture closed in. Granted, Egypt did not implode that day, the Arab Spring 30 years later inserted the Brotherhood into power, where the military rightfully overthrew him. The concerning part is I think the Brotherhood was actually elected into office. If the military respected his authority and lost leverage to overthrow him, he would most likely transform Egypt into a religious state.
Quinn just fucked people, she didn't kill them (disregarding any possible STDs).
Im just pointing out a phenomena. Pay attention to bugs and they grow into monsters. I am not of either side, just pointing out some thing that is observable. The only way to combat ISIS is come up with an idea which is just as atrocious or worse.
Please ISIS, try your absolute worst at Washington DC then you'll find out how it'd be like if earth took a nuclear sized dildo in the asshole that is you fucks.
They mess with the bull and they will get the horns.
I really doubt ISIS is worried that they might get torn to shreds by the US.
