Yeah this is a great counter-measure, not like people can use the other appstore to get the exact same apps for free.
Just add some custom modification and every one will be happy.
good idea, "let's block people who have the ability to illegally acquire our software from being able to purchase our software legally if they wanted to" :downs:
good idea, "let's block people who have the ability to illegally acquire our software from being able to purchase our software legally if they wanted to" :downs:
Kinda odd idea.
Don't get me wrong, I still use the app store for a few things here and there. But when it comes to full customization control, I think I'll be using Cydia, thank you.
Nexus One > IPhone.
Banning CFW associated acounts from the itunes store seems to be counter productive. Aren't they pretty much saying "Hey, we're not going to let you pay for our serices because you have a hacked iPhone". Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't they giving hacked iPhone users no other choice but to pirate? I'm trying to figure out what they're trying to acomplish from this. I see no net benefit.
they are babies :)))))))))))))
I use my iphone for winterboard, categories and so I can have my calendar on my lock screen? Fuck apple.
Honestly people, why even bother with apple?
Apple : I KNO LETS BAN PEOPLE WHO WANT CONTROL OVER THEIR PHONE SO THEY CANT BUY STUFF FROM US THAT WILL STOP PIRACY FO SURE!11!
As an iPhone developer, I'm not sure whether this makes me happy or sad. I love homebrew communities, but when people are just going to abuse such things, you can't really expect them to sit by idle and not do anything.
this. If Apple released their own version of Winterboard and a few other essential modifications (SBSettings, USB Drive, OpenSSH/OpenSSL, Terminal, Cyntacts, etc.) I would have no reason to jailbreak, except maybe gameboy emulation.
Are you insane? Apple would never include something that could allow users fuck up their device, such as OpenSSH [editline]10:01PM[/editline]
As an iPhone developer, I'm not sure whether this makes me happy or sad. Every time I read I thread like this, I pat myself on the back for not buying in to all this Apple bullshite
Sucks for everyone who is hacking it. But they are losing money on people who don't pay for the apps. So I can't blame Apple for getting mad.
Because it's not like iPhones and iPod touches are overpriced or anything.
Honestly people, why even bother with apple?
Agreed, but Apple is a fad that has been around for a while. I don't think it will stop any time soon.
Because it's not like iPhones and iPod touches are overpriced or anything.
Actually, they aren't. If I recall correctly, the iPhone is only sold for ~30 dollars more than it costs to make one.
okay now they'll just pirate all of the apps they want since they can't buy them from the app store [editline]02:44AM[/editline] and if this goes to every device same principle
Apple is even a bigger bitch than microsoft.
