I'm pretty sure Apple has enough money to crush these people in court.
Isn't it great when the legal system boils down to the side with more money is the winner?
Karma bites back at Apple, except with distribution between several companies.
I am really tired of all these patent wars.
Oh man. VIA chipsets are the cheapest things you can work with and they are awful.
Karma's a bitch.
Oh man. VIA chipsets are the cheapest things you can work with and they are awful.
I've had a few VIA motherboards in my time, not one of them has died yet. [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline]
opinion
Android does far more out of the box, I get a few slight jitters on my 690Mhz phone which I can put up with. Lack of basic features such as bluetooth FTP, USB mass storage and SD support is completely unnaceptable. Fuck my old dell Axim is more capable.
Android > Ishit.
My iPhone reads music, can send messages, call people and has some funny apps. I'm not asking any other thing, the interface is simple to use and smooth. I don't really care about the OS, I just think the iPhone is nice. Also please don't consider your opinion as a generality.
USB mass storage
omg i already told you last time that the iwhatever was totally capable of mass storage and even demonstrated it so now you're just lying to make the android platform look better which is just sad. obviously the android is shit if it needs so many internet defenders.
It's kind of like Apple started the whole patent war and now other companies pick it up now. [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline]
obviously the android is shit if it needs so many internet defenders.
What kind of crooked logic is that?
Wait till you want to replace your battery.
Aka in five or six years [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline] I had an iPod Touch before and even four years after getting it the battery's still perfectly functional
I wish I was on the jury. I need a new car.
I could use a mansion. I prefer iOS over android, mainly because I just want a phone which work without having to customize the hell out of it.

[editline]23rd September 2011[/editline] Besides, it's useless, it's just for photos, and nothing else. [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline]
I've never in my life, changed the battery in a phone. Or heard any. [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline] Even if you do buy a shit phone, a mostly smooth experience is one ROM reflash away, and any retard can figure out how to do that, its a 2 step procedure. [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline]
What kind of crooked logic is that?
It's because there are a decent amount of rather loud macfags, and as we all know, macs are bad. So, he is applying the same logic to Android.
Maybe VIA and Samsung will team up and get Apple's patents on black rectangles with curved corners revoked. [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline] Actually wait a second. Samsung makes the microprocessors for the iPhones. So why wouldn't VIA also target the Samsung phones using the Hummigbird and the Exynos?
I would assume that VIA allow Samsung to use their patents via a licence, or are just looking the other way.
My Apache server is using a VIA processor , not to mention VIA got a shit load of patents. Hope they will win something from this.
Sure, some Android devices are better than some iOS devices, but that doesn't mean iOS devices are "shit". My iPod Touch is a second generation device, the screen is all cracked and fucked up, yet it functions perfectly well enough to be of use to me, for the tasks I need it for (that is, iOS app development). My girlfriend drops her iPhone4 on concrete, asphalt, etc. literally once a week, and the glass back of the device is completely fucked up, but there isn't a single scratch on the screen, and the device itself functions rock-solidly.
"OUT OF THE BOX" You need to plug your iDevice in and use iTunes to enable that box storage bullshit. [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline] Besides, it's useless, it's just for photos, and nothing else.
oh no that's utterly untrue even without itunes you can still use USB mass storage you just don't know shit about the devices you talk about [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline]
What kind of crooked logic is that?
i'm asking what everyone is so insecure about when it comes to smartphone OS's
Anything that nonviolently causes problems for Apple I'm happy about.
I would still like to see Steve Jobs get hit in the face for creating Apple in the first place.
It's because there are a decent amount of rather loud macfags, and as we all know, macs are bad.
how old are you exactly? and why do you have safari and macintosh as your browser and platform?
oh no that's utterly untrue even without itunes you can still use USB mass storage you just don't know shit about the devices you talk about.
DCIM is the only folder available, nothing else is accesable on the device, you cant copy music or even a PDF to view on it later, rendering the mass storage mostly useless. [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline]
how old are you exactly? and why do you have safari and macintosh as your browser and platform?
College computers, which are running awfuly.
DCIM is the only folder available, nothing else is accesable on the device, you cant copy music or even a PDF to view on it later, rendering the mass storage mostly useless.
it's perfectly possible to do it either using an application on the PC/Mac or an app on the iPhone itself you'd know this if you actually used the devices you ardently seem to hate
So my point still stands, it doesn't perform very basic functionality out of the box?
Why can't we all just get along. Do you realise how stupid it is to fight over phones? Yeah, Apple sues everyone. It's business. It doesn't mean you guys have to bash every single apple customer by calling them stupid. I like both phones in different ways, but I still use the iPhone because it's comfortable for me.
College computers, which are running awfuly.
so you so ardently have to attack apple you'll even put yourself through the torture of using an apple device to post stuff on a forum about how bad apple stuff is. bless your heart [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline]
It doesn't mean you guys have to bash every single apple customer by calling them stupid.
look you're dealing with someone who calls the other side fag
While I disagree with all this suing over stupid shit recently, Apple does deserve a taste of their own medicine.
so you so ardently have to attack apple you'll even put yourself through the torture of using an apple device to post stuff on a forum about how bad apple stuff is.
Well, I'll bring my laptop with me next week to appease you, does that make you happy?
So my point still stands, it doesn't perform very basic functionality out of the box?
what the fuck would you do with internal storage right out of the box [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline]
Well, I'll bring my laptop with me next week to appease you, does that make you happy?
well i'm just saying you should take the time to appreciate the fact that apple has allowed you to browse facepunch. someone owes steve jobs an apology...
what the fuck would you do with internal storage right out of the box
I can copy PDF's , MS office documents, .mod files, music and video on and off my device whenever I like without any software running on the computer I'm plugged into, and I can read every single one of those files on my phone too. Most of the document readers on iOS require you to upload files to some odd online service to read them instead of directly off the phone because it doesn't have a user accessible file system. It's just nice to have full control of where you want things on your device, and how you access it and copy it. [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline] Each app which reads whatever filetype on iOS uses a different place to store it's files, instead I just have one place to store files, my SD card, its simple and centralized.
well i'm just saying you should take the time to appreciate the fact that apple has allowed you to browse facepunch. someone owes steve jobs an apology...
You know I can just browse Facepunch just fine on my phone, it's just slightly more comfortable to view it on a larger screen, and type with a marginaly better keyboard.
