People who say this stuff look even more stupid to me, video games are literally the only reason i survived high-school.
Basically the same with me. Computers and video games were my salvation from the hell hole known as public education. My grades suffered as a result, but I really didn't give two fucks.
Odd how they worded it. "because he'd felt that he was bullied" "The shooter believed that the two people he had targeted had bullied him" Is it just me, or does it sound like that he hasn't been bullied at all?
journalistically speaking they can't say he was bullied until they get confirmation through evidence. All they have to go on for the story is literally the shooter's word for now, maybe a few other students' word. also another reason I can't take 'bully' seriously as a word is because it sounds so... soft? It's a pillowy word and doesn't sound like anything to describe harassment/assault/being an asshole 'ass' is literally part of all the good words
as a side point, I really can't take the term 'bully'/'bullied' as seriously as it should be taken in cases like yours. 'bullying' to me was always the kid in third grade who pushed you around til you gave him lunch money during recess or just made fun of you for something like glasses or hair color or whatever. You know, trivial shit. where's the line where it's finally called harassment and verbal/physical assault?
This is one of the problems really. If a bunch of adults beat the shit out of someone from work they'll get arrested and jailed, but if I kid does it it's seen as just "kids being kids" and either dealt with by giving the attacker a few days off school or ignored completely. Violent bullies need to be dealt with far more severely.
it really depends, what is considered bullying exactly? i'm with daijitsu on this
I always thought bullying was a term for constant harassment in school, and not just calling someone a faggot once or stealing the swing on the playground. [editline]11th January 2013[/editline] Ah now I understand.
I'd say 'bullying' is constant harassing of a single person regardless of who's doing it, but a 'bully' would still be someone who habitually does that stuff, even if it's just a lot of one-off situations like that.
Well at least the pupil wasn't a hobo otherwise he'd be a HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN.
Im pretty sure one of the best to stop being bullied is snapping and punching that douchebag in the nose. Sure, you may be pulled out of school for a while but nobody will ever fuck with you, ever. It may not be the most ~emotionally helpful~ of ways to gain self confidence, but that shit works.
Well at least the pupil wasn't a hobo otherwise he'd be a HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN.
LOL!
The government's conspiracy to rally the people against guns continues!
Really not the time to relate the two.
Why don't more bullied kids fight back? I've never understood that.
Why don't more bullied kids fight back? I've never understood that.
In a lot of cases, fighting back only lands you in trouble. Hell, even telling someone lands you in trouble for being a "tattletale". Fucking hell, it's like they expect you to sit there and take it up the ass until you snap and this kind of thing happens.
Why don't more bullied kids fight back? I've never understood that.
Because they'd lose? Either because the Bully is fat out bigger than them or he's the kind of cunt that'll get his friends to get you if you fight back.
Why don't more bullied kids fight back? I've never understood that.
Because it makes things worse ya dope. My sister was being bullied and fought back and ended up in more trouble than the bully! One day some shit-head girl was giving her a really hard time(this had been happening for a while) so she turned around and socked 'em right in the face. Nearly got suspended and the other girl became the victim.
Why don't more bullied kids fight back? I've never understood that.
Becuase if you beat one kid up, he comes back with a gang. if this happens more than once, you cant walk around school without being asaulted.
Knew this would be because of bullying damnit. Almost had a similar incident at my school a couple of years ago and now we have controlled access points in our school. Doors can be remotely controlled and are set to a schedule which causes them to lock during the school day. They're using the full system too. The doors have LED indicators next to them letting you know if they're locked or not and teachers can scan their ids to open them.
Okay now THAT sounds like a prison.
The kid should've dropped out and got a GED. That's the best you can do to escape bullying if it's bad, sadly.
The kid should've dropped out and got a GED. That's the best you can do to escape bullying if it's bad, sadly.
Yes lets let other people ruin our chance at a higher education/job.
Not only are dickheads not punished, but schools often punish innocent people and treat them like prisoners.
which I don't get how the hell is that going to help anything obviously it's going to cluster fuck .?

Although I don't do this at first, I tend to just report it but at times it went on for long periods and just ends up as above and I was never suspended, I wasn't even blamed on any of the times. Hell I actually got 2 people suspended who I decked in the face for being assholes, one was a girl who had been winding me up for over a year and continuously throwing food at me.
Glad the teacher used the paragon interrupt to stop him.
He used his CASIE aug.
"im tuf m8, yer a cheeky cunt i'll hook ye in yer gabber i swears i will guvnah"
Combine it with a fake scouser accent and that was pretty much all of them. :v:
kids are becoming such pussies these days, looking to use a gun to solve their problems lol
kids are becoming such pussies these days, looking to use a gun to solve their problems lol
What else could they use? If they continue to put up with it they might suicide. If they tell anyone nothing will happen. If they try to just punch them chances are the bully is going to bring his friends.
Bullying. Bullying is a term to make everything seem soft, like a joke or an annoyance at worst. Compare three sentences, with only the word changed. "Stop bullying me." "Stop assaulting me" "Stop harrassing me" Which one do you see as incomparable to the other two? And yet, in schools this is mostly defined as bullying, where in Highschools, the term being a "Bully" should be thrown out in favour of a more serious term, I elect "Belligerent" to these people, as it is taken more serious than "Bully". And then, all in all, everything is softly padded no matter the incident with the person being a "bully." this could be, and is probably acceptable when in Kindergarten, elementary school. But when you grow up, the punishments should change as well. Things will need to be getting more strict for those that act like an asshole, harrassing or assaulting other people for malicious reasons. That in high school the victim who snaps should not be congratulated, but not be shown as the man who created the pre-emptive strike against someone innocent.

I was bullied pretty badly for years, still am actually, just that i learned to not give half a shit about it. Found an old note book with some homemade weapon designs in it that i lost a few years ago at school. Had all kinds of mean shit in it towards me, threw it away. Working designs, but untested. Realistic too, considering that i was intending on making some of them. Anyways, one time, in middle of some class, ex-friend starts mouthing off to me, i fucking dropped his ass one punch right at the front of the class in a reflex punch. Teacher saw the whole thing, luckily, she was my friend, as were most of the faculty, just that they never took me seriously about being bullied, they all thought it was in my head and actually had me evaluated to see if i was batshit insane. Got a high five from the assistant principal and primary football coach, though, because my ex-friend is a real piece of shit.
It's the school's fault. Our school system is a real shit hole in terms of policies and for fucks sake it aids social alienation in many places by how it treats the whole bullying thing.

You sound like a massive tool. Some people don't like the idea of conflict, and if that's what floats their boat then what the fuck ever, i don't give to shits, but to suggest a kid with emotional problems is a pussy for not wanting to get his ass kicked is literally the douchiest thing ever. Go fuck yourself.

To say he should be shut away from normal society and social interaction is just as stupid, if anything it would make his mentality towards another human worse. You are at the same level as Hitler to say hes unfit for society.
