EA going bankrupt is one of the top things I want to see before I die.
Sadly, it's probably not going to happen for a very very long time. People still seem compelled to empty their entire wallets into EA's hands.
EA's been doing very badly lately and might fail within the decade.
Fingers crossed for Valve to take Ea's place and grow.
No, how about we have no publishers that are nearly at the point of making a monopoly across the industry.
Valve isn't much better either, buying games through Steam is like buying a subscription for said games rather than actually owning them and doing whatever you want with them. I don't want an industry dominated by such a service.
How about nobody takes EA's place. Why do we need some super-massive corporation with overflowing wealth?
All power corrupts.
No power corrupts Valve.
How is that legal anyway?
in the agreement you didn't read
Don't update the app and you'll probably still be able to play.
I still haven't updated Tetris ever since they fucked even it over.
Doesn't matter though. People are not going to know and just think to update it and get screwed over. Fuck EA.
No power corrupts Valve.
uhm no that power is called hats
uhm no that power is called hats
No, Valve just makes the hats...
It's the people that get corrupted. Poor souls.
It's amazing really, How you can get so much money by directly fucking people over.
keep pulling shit like this and you will just make piracy worse EA.
I haven't bought an EA product in ages and unless they get their shit together I never will.
All I can imagine is buying a game, then EA saying the game never existed.
I guess it's a good thing that I've been avoiding any game published under EA since 2004
EA disappont me more and more.
Actually...

I guess they caved-in under the pressure.
Mmm that's a good point with the idea of unlocking them. Music publishers like their royalties and probably wouldn't take to kindly to EA just letting their users have the music forever.
Its most likely time related and EA couldn't get it renewed.
They're not exactly swimming in stock confidence right now.
uhm no that power is called hats
But the hats are mostly created by players themselves, who also get a cut out of hats sales that make it into the catalog. Valve is sharing, EA is mindlessly hoarding.
Besides, GabeN's Big Heart is immune to corruption.
I know its just a game but honestly there should be laws against this. It's like when developers don't patch their online games. It's a total waste of money for the customer and theres no way of getting it back.
I bought rock band reloaded a couple days ago actually haha
The original has a better song list, but I guess I won't buy it now (even considering they announced it will still work, I'm skeptic)
what about the addition of hats out of nowhere in portal 2's co-op mode
Mind, the whole Portal 2 hat system was linked directly to TF2 (Certain TF2 hats getting unlocked for Portal 2 if you had them like the fedora or the mann co. cap) and the Portal 2 exclusive stuff is mainly achieved through non-monetary means.
Basically, you're only spending money on Portal 2 hats if you're spending them on TF2 ones.
Thankfully, there's always non-monetary options to aquire items in TF2, even if such a system is annoying and troublesome at times.
I don't think its possible to criticize rock band DLC
That is literally how you do DLC
Still a fucking scam that you can buy song packs but they can't be loaded anymore. seriously FUCK you EA.
Still a fucking scam that you can buy song packs but they can't be loaded anymore. seriously FUCK you EA.
And how do you know they won't work after the update? Do you have some kind of inside information nobody else does? That hasn't been confirmed yet so calm your rage induced hardon down.

except you aren't as forced into buying that shit at all, Gabe isn't the one doing that, and you can still unlock hats free or just get them via paid method.
Plus it's extremely aesthetic, not something like unlocking all guns or a bunch of maps.

please don't pull that "not forced to buy" shit. we all know that it's impractical as fuck to wait hours upon hours upon HOURS to get the items you want. trading's a lost cause because most traders only want "high value" items like unusuals and shitty promo items.

Actually I think Harmonix or Apple stepped in and told EA to stop it.

Are you missing out on anything by not having the hats?
If EA go they all go. For a publisher like EA to fail there would have to have been a massive hiccup in the industry that has killed all the smaller publishers first. Or something goes horribly wrong and they run themselves into the ground, making other publishers take over and repeat the process until nothing it left.
Oh, along with the developers under them, who kinda don't deserve that fate.
It's the way it works, man.
Don't you remember 1983?

"fuck we're so sorry please stop yelling at us oh god"
I once saw this MMO game which name I don't remember anymore on sale at a game store.
The game had been free to play for a year or two.
