Fake, and this is why you do not copy from SA before reading the thread :downs:
Actually I did read the thread. I posted this cuz I knew it'd have a better place at facepunch.
Anyway you are indeed all arguing over a thing that didn't happen, and if this actually did happen, most of you have really terrible opinions about it. There's the expected "deserved it" posts; if you really care enough about furries to believe they deserve to die then I don't even know.
As for the people saying the officer had to make a split second decision and such you're also wrong, the police are trained to make the right decision in this situation, and are given the ability to use firearms at their discretion because it is assumed they can use them responsibly.
(SA caught it first page, if you're wondering.)
Is that like Dawn of the Dead, but with furries? Cause I'd pay to see that.
[editline]10:36PM[/editline]
Depends. Was he fucking a corpse at the time?
Was that a legitimate question or are you trying to avoid the point?
I think he thinks it's both

Mid first page if I remember right.
Can we just close this damn topic before things get out of hand? Its obvious it was made up, hell the author of this topic himself said it was!
The victim, 29 year old Philip Boxer, was part of a peaceful protest outside the Jacksonville Convention Center to raise awareness of the struggle that homosexuals face in the overwhelmingly conservative town.
That guy might have had nothing to do with the fur-fest.
He may have even unintentionally grabbed his gun as opposed to his tazer or mace.
What?
Anyway, you guys are too focused on the whole furry convention to think about what's really important. The guy was in handcuffs, so he couldn't have been much of a threat to anyone. Even if he was trying to flee, that does not justify the officer shooting him anywhere. The fact that he shot him in the head completely rules out any kind of justification.
Our own investigation, though, has shown that this isn't Officer Odum's first brush with violence. In an incident occurring in 2003, Odum was responding to a simple domestic dispute when he was accused of crushing a pet guinea pig with his bare hands. The case was settled out of court.

There's a pattern!
Do not associate a value, positive or negative, to a whole group based on the actions of a few people associated with it.
I have every right to judge you based on the group you belong to, because you actively chose to belong to it. It's just not a higher force like a religion and it's not genetic like race. So stop trying to compare your internet mockery to groups that have had to face actual persecution and oppression because you don't fit in that fucking bill.

That's not what I meant. Re-read my post.
You can judge people (To an extent) by the groups they belong to, but you can't judge the group by a single person.
Was that a legitimate question or are you trying to avoid the point?
Completely legitimate.
If he was fucking a corpse, I wouldn't complain if he got shot. If he got killed, yeah, but it wouldn't particularly bother me if he got shot.
Though if he was just standing around, yeah, that would piss me off.

You have no right to advocate murder of people, which may not be what you're doing, but it's what some other people are doing.

You seem to be under the delusion that there's only a single fucked up person the furry fandom.

Well no one got killed, did they?
Completely legitimate.

I agree, but still shooting is a bit over the top. Wouldn't bother me THAT much, though, because fucking a corpse is way too much, whether or not it's in public.
is there a word for people who hate furries? Anthropomorphobia?
You have no right to advocate murder of people, which may not be what you're doing, but it's what some other people are doing.
Everyone has a right to advocate murder, that's called free/hate speech.
I may not agree with what you say but you have a right to say it. To say you have NO RIGHT would be incorrect.
is there a word for people who hate furries? Anthropomorphobia?
Furries are (By my definition) xenophiles, so it would be Xenophilia-phobia. Not xenophobia.
is there a word for people who hate furries? Anthropomorphobia?
Hate is not equal to fear.
I'm not hating on people because of their fetish.
If he was only getting up to walk to the patrol car then that police officer should be put in custody.

Do you automatically assume that all furries are necrophiliacs? Because if that's the case, I can almost understand why you hate them so much.

No not really, I don't know what country you live in...
Page five and counting..
I retract what I said earlier, great work OP.
You seem to be under the delusion that there's only a single fucked up person the furry fandom.
No, but not all of them are fucked up (They are if you consider any fetish as being fucked up, but not all are way too fucked up beyond the point of the fetish's baseline fuckeduppery).
Plus not all furries wear fursuits and go to furry conventions, some just fap and don't make a big deal about it.

Why you hating on necrophilia? It's just as legitimate a fetish as furries.

The point is no longer relating to the article at all, now it's relating to whether furries should be murdered
No not really, I don't know what country you live in...
Actually, he does. All our moral codes are nothing but mere fancies, and it's good to have them questioned every now and then. It gives one perspective.
Why you hating on necrophilia? It's just as legitimate a fetish as furries.
If you consider reality shit, sure.

Your quasi-intellectual bullshit and your nauseatingly asinine persecution complex is worse to me than any private sexual fetish.
Why you hating on necrophilia? It's just as legitimate a fetish as furries.
No it's not, that's like comparing homosexuality to pedophilia. With furries (or at least, furries that engage in the sexual part of the culture, there are plenty that just stick to roleplaying at whatnot) there are two consenting adults who agree to have sex while participating in a certain fetish that does not cause any harm to either party. Necrophilia is extremely sacrilegious towards the dead and shows a complete irreverence for the person who died, not to mention that it's rape because you're engaging in sex with an unconsenting person.

Deal with it. This be the internet.
