Contract price will be. Unactivated price wont.
I've seen this somewhere before...

Nokia do not own the rights to colours.
if you genuinely believe that the product you're getting for $150 is faster and better then you've already proven that you're completely ignorant about the subject and are just using the "giguhurtz" to satisfy your raging fanboy boner
I'm sorry, that's inappropriate, but that's the truth
I work in the mobile device industry. I have handled 90% of available smartphones.
The Galaxy phones are better.
The price of the service is the exact same regardless of whether or not you get the phone at the contract price or unactivated price. So paying full price for the phone is retarded.
That doesn't matter; comparing contract prices is retarded because you're signing on for a 2 year contract that could have vastly different terms from company to company (i.e. a cancellation fee etc); not to mention each company has different fees in the first place.
The full cost of the phone is the full cost of the phone.
Also, not everyone lives in the US; in a lot of countries it is commonplace to purchase phones outright. I have been doing this for years and years because I don't like getting tied into huge contracts.

There replacing the 5 with the 5S
They said getting a new phone would replace the plan, plus with Best Buy I went from a 16GB phone to a 32GB phone for a little over $100.
much better deal
The associate was wrong, then. That isn't the case and it hasn't been since AT&T added family share plans
I work in the mobile device industry. I have handled 90% of available smartphones.

That's a very blanket statement to make without justifying it with more than "it's faster" when you're clearly comparing nothing but the gigahertz rating on the processor
Nokia do not own the rights to colours.
I just find it hilarious considering how Apple has sued multiple times for "copying design" or whatever. It's not just the colour, almost the entire design is the same. Hypocritical much?

Apple products have also cost more and been slower than most any other product for years and years now, how is this surprising?
The associate was wrong, then. That isn't the case and it hasn't been since AT&T added family share plans
Figured, but I didn't want to deal with him since he was being rude about it to begin with. Plus I wouldn't get Reward Zone points if I got it from Radio Shack :v:

Unactivated price for the iPhone 5 is $699.99 same price for the Galaxy S4. If memory serves the Galaxy S3 was either 599.99 or 649.99
I just find it hilarious considering how Apple sues everyone that does something even slightly similar design wise. It's not just the colour, almost the entire design is the same.
What design can a phone possibly have other than a rectangle with rounded corners? I think apple did try to patent that actually.
What design can a phone possibly have other than a rectangle with rounded corners? I think apple did try to patent that actually.
I think they did that for tablets.
What design can a phone possibly have other than a rectangle with rounded corners? I think apple did try to patent that actually.
Both the iPhone 5S and 5C are rectangles with rounded corners. Do they look the same AT ALL? No. It's almost like arguing all cars are just boxes on four wheels and can't have unique design.

This coming from the guy who just gave a perfect example of an ad hominem argument.
I might consider an iPhone for the first time ever if the 5C is priced stupidly in the UK like the rest of them have been
The 5S is £550 and the 5C is £470. For the 16GB models.
iOS has always been bloated. Android devices with the equivalent specs of an iPod touch 2G could run a homescreen wallpaper perfectly well, yet the iPod touch 2G itself seems to have a framerate of about 10fps.
I'm sorry but before project butter a lot of android devices had noticeable lag from time to time. Everytime I go into a phone shop the android devices never have smooth scrolling.

Because i've already given my arguments for your statement not being true in the first page of this thread and i'm not going to bother repeating myself if you don't acknowledge that

64GB iPhone 5S is $849
Samsung Note 3 is ~$700

“Oh, and yeah, it’s Android free”
I'm not sure I'd consider that a good thing...Besides iOS, I think the new iPhones look very impressive though. The 120 FPS camera is pretty awesome.
64GB iPhone 5S is $849

The Note 3 is the equivalent of $1022 in the UK.
Also you're comparing a 32GB phone to a 64GB one.
Apart from the price tag it sounds pretty nice.
looks cool. im eligible for an upgrade in october. gonna move up from a 4s to a 5s.
Because i've already given my arguments for your statement not being true in the first page of this thread and i'm not going to bother repeating myself if you don't acknowledge that
Your argument was shit and not worth acknowledging. When you can come up legitimate reasons for why the magical A7 processor is better than a quad core 1.9ghz I'll offer a better rebuttal. Otherwise I'm not going to waste my time
steve jobs would have never allowed the 5c to exist
The Note 3 is the equivalent of $1022 in the UK.

I couldn't find the size listed with the price of the unlocked phone; I looked.
I still don't understand how its that difficult for any company to release clear pricing information in this day and age (and no, telling people what the contract price is if they happen to live in the US isn't clear information).
The Note 3 is the equivalent of $1022 in the UK.

Add a 32gb microsd cars for $25. Congrats comparing 64 to 64
Better yet add a 64gb card for $50 and compare a 96 to a 64
steve jobs would have never allowed the 5c to exist
what makes you say that

Welp break is up.
I'd love to continue this iOS circle jerk but I need to get back to work.
