Back on topic, I like all the devices. I come across a lot of cunts IRL who really care so much about this shit that they post statuses about how shit macs are all day and preach to me the error of my ways (owning a MacBook Air and iPhone). I tend to just ignore that shit because they're embarrassing themselves by being such whiny fail-guys.
People who obsessively preach about the sins of the Mac and other things like that are annoying. But they are partially correct in some ways. Apple is a terrible company, a majority of their users have a cult behaviour and do feel more entitled than someone with say, a Samsung or Sony computer. The company could literally sell something 4 generations old with an exorbitant price tag and people would still buy it excessively, with the media reporting on how great it is, all the while they would claim how advanced it is when it really isn't. I would love for Apple to go back to their roots and actually innovate properly again, as thanks to them we actually having personal computers that were affordable. I in no way actually like Apple outside of their design ethics, but holy shit the rabid anti-Apple crowd can be as frustrating as the overly pro-Apple crowd.
What the hell, This is how commercials work. They use logical fallacies to make you reach a false conclusion. He should probably lose this.
I think what they did with making pixels smaller was pretty awesome. Apple have always been great with screens because they're not afraid to splash out on glass rather than shitty plastic. I've literally never seen better monitors than Mac monitors, nor better touch-pads than Mac ones.
What the hell, This is how commercials work. They use logical fallacies to make you reach a false conclusion.
that's kind of against the law
Display technology had kind of plateaued a few years ago, and Apple pushing IPS displays and capacitive touch did certainly help. But increasing pixel density was a logical conclusion of display technology advancements, I wouldn't really say it was innovation, but it is an improvement they can probably be credited for. There are much better IPS displays on the market outside of Mac screens (which are probably somewhere in the lower-middle range of IPS for cost reasons). But they are ungodly expensive and very low in quantity I expect as there is no demand for them.
You still don't complain about Google & Android handsets also being made by Foxconn, you just single Apple out as their only customer which is false. Samsung, Sony, Motorola, Amazon and Intel all use Foxconn. Motorola is fucking owned by Google for fuck's sake.
Pretty much everyone knows by now that Foxconn builds for other companies besides Apple, it's been mentioned in previous articles before..
Pretty much everyone knows by now that Foxconn builds for other companies besides Apple, it's been mentioned in previous articles before..
Even my motherboard, in DXdiag just lists "foxconn".
"some sequences shortened" [editline]30th March 2012[/editline] not defending apple on other counts just saying that this is a really stupid lawsuit, considering that it could be more of at&t/verizon's fault than apple's.
I hate misleading commercials. Like the McDonalds ones where it looks like people are actually enjoying the food.
For some reason the fast food joints in the USA today are appealing to the youth, IE, HIPSTERS now. Like it was ever fucking cool to eat at fast food joints Apple was the first one to do that, fucking iPad. Now everyone in my college has an Apple something and they don't even use it for anything at all. I have a Windows Phone and I bust it out only for those hipsters to be, "WHAT PHONE IS THAT." :P
Wow, seriously? None of you guys are talking about the app, SIRI? That dude is right though, Siri isn't as good as everyone think it is. It's not as functional as you think. I've tried it on my friend's phone, and it hardly picked up what I said. But, when he tried to fake a texan accent, it worked for him. So accent most likely is a major factor for SIRI. But still, its a huge gimmick. Nobody uses voice activated commands, not even on Android. People still have doubts about it, and they rather type it out accurately than talking to SIRI like a retard on a subway.

It's not a gimmick in anyway and it works as it was intended to. And you are wrong, I see many people use voice commands.

People don't even touch SIRI here. Partially because there's only support for reminders and shit here. But I'm pretty sure I do know what I'm talking about. No, I'm not going to rate you dumbs.
But they aren't exactly going to show it not working. That'd be fucking stupid. They're just trying to show off what a feature does so why should they have to show it not working some of the time? That'd be terrible advertising. This guy stands no chance anyway, facing Apple's army of lawyers. How often do you see an advert for a piece of technology where they show the fact that it doesn't work all the time? That's like an advert for Windows where the computer blue screens.
I'm citing fact. Disagree all you want.
i'm not disagreeing, i just think it's hilarious that someone would waste their life hunting down anti-apple news all the time
I hate the Iphone 4s. It's sold in the Netherlands, but it can't do anything except for the not useful stuff. It can't do anything here, because Apple is too lazy to implement the locations for anything other than the US.
i just think it's hilarious that someone would waste their life hunting down anti-apple news all the time
Got any proof of that? In all likeliness he stumbles on these articles while reading his usual news sites/blogs. You know, like how everyone in this section finds their content to post?

People at work have Siri and it's the same as Iris or anything else on Android. And FWIW, Apple stole the idea from Google's voice search...

Why is everyone suddenly acting all butthurt when an apple thread comes up, sure they make it look better than it actually is in their comercial but all companies do that.
I was waiting for someone to accuse faze of looking for Anti-Apple news all the time just because of his Avatar. Didn't take long. Stay classy and judgmental, FP.
I hate misleading commercials. Like the McDonalds ones where it looks like people are actually enjoying the food.
I ate at McDonalds for the first time since I was about 7 last week. Never again - whole chips coming out both ends.
I can see Apple losing this one. False Advertising is illegal. Or at least frowned upon by the legal system.
that's kind of against the law
No it isn't. Here's 90% of all beer adverts: The beer is being sold through fallacy: "If I drink this beer I will be a sophisticated guy who gets the girls". Is that illegal?
snip LOL rate me dumbs i didnt see the other thread because people on fp don't post in threads with good news
ifaux is back in town. Not to say faze isn't biased, but it's not like you were posting anything relevant to the article.
Most advertisements do this, not just apple's. Most say screen is simulated though.
I was waiting for someone to accuse faze of looking for Anti-Apple news all the time just because of his Avatar. Didn't take long. Almost all of the threads he makes here are about articles that are against Apple, or Foxconn.

He does not actively look for anti apple news.
