Why is Autoturret not permaed yet?
By definition, how is homosexuality anything more than a sexual/romantic attraction?
uh
[editline]3rd March 2011[/editline]
kinda contradicted yourself.
I have never seen a "Asian alliance club" at a school.
My school has an Asian Culture Club.
But all they do is smoke pot in the back of a school bus.
why do they need to be azn for that?
Do you think people are born with "GAY" stamped on their feet or something?
And some become gay later in life, believe it or not.
deja vu
I remember a thread where the argument basically devolved into exactly what we have now, and you haemmoraged about 50 posts of pure tripe
Look, the Gay-Straight Alliance may be kind of annoying when you're straight, but it if really makes gay people feel that much better, then I think it's selfish to ban it. Gay people have been social stigmas in the United States for over two centuries, they probably don't feel safe in many communities that don't show in some way that they're accepting of gays.
Also, gay guys tend to have feminine undertones and lesbians tend to have masculine undertones that are biological/physiological things like jaw structure and small things, like having a softer/rougher voice than a man/woman should have. I think something happens in the uterus that causes the information for a female sex drive to apply to a male, or vice-versa.
I don't think people "become" gay, I think they just figure out, or work up the courage to tell people they're gay. From an anecdotal standpoint, even the more masculine gay guys I've run into, something has just seemed physically feminine about them and it was hard to explain.
Also, I think that people who say it's a "choice" might be closeted homosexuals themselves. I've never really had a problem with homosexuality, but I've also never had a homosexual feeling. I never made a choice to like women, in fact if I had had a choice and knew how crazy/paranoid they are, I might not have made the choice to be attracted to them. I'm attracted to them involuntarily, and I can't imagine not being attracted to them.

There are, however, people who exhibit deviant sexual behavior as a result of sexual abuse, but there are plenty of healthy homosexuals(Elton John, Ian McKellen, Freddy Mercury, etc.) who do not have a history of sexual abuse.

I always thought this was done deliberately, can anyone confirm?
I always thought this was done deliberately, can anyone confirm?
I know this is anecdotal, but I really don't think it's intentional because the guys who later came out still had the softness. Sometimes, they would attempt to force a manlier voice, but it would just sound awkward instead of manly, so they'd just bully people to seem manlier.
i have a pretty soft voice but it's because i'm british, not because i'm gay
srsly

Straight people can have soft voices, but there's something different. Actually, a reggae singer I like(Tenor Saw) has one. The softness that a gay man has in his voice is different, and it's present even if they have a deeper voice.

It's one of those things that you can't quite put your finger on, but you know it's there.
yeah but that's really just anecdotal
i don't personally think there is such a thing as a gay gene and i don't think one is "born" gay
neither is it a choice though, it's not that simple
Unfortunately, I don't have respected scientific evidence of that yet, and scientific evidence of that would be a little difficult.

I'm not saying there's a "gay gene," I'm saying it's a genetic mutation. I guess you could say that you aren't "born" gay, but I think you are born with the predisposition to be gay. Neither of us really have any scientific evidence at the moment, although I may come back with some if I really decide to take the time. It's completely reasonable to disregard my argument, however, it's completely reasonable to disregard everyone in here's argument because none of us are really getting into the hard scientific aspect of this.

It's actually mostly the hormones the fetus is exposed to in the womb, that's why twins are likely to share a sexuality
either way it wouldn't change what i thought about gay people even in the slightest
either way it wouldn't change what i thought about gay people even in the slightest
No, and it would have absolutely no reason to
The bottom line is that it's biological, not psychological.
Even if it was a choice, you should respect their "decision" in the same way you would respect a person's religious views.
I'm not allowed to talk on this subject. I get shut up when I try to clarify my use of choice, because it has to be set in stone or no longer works.
For fuck's sake Texas, why must you act like a bunch of retarded cunts?
this is why inbreeding is illegal
We have one of these clubs at my school in New York.
I go to school in NYC, there's LGBT clubs by default everywhere. It's not really a big deal anymore. As odd as it still feels, I know quite a few gay people. It's not taboo in society anymore, and these bigoted asses are going to seriously hurt people's calm in that regard.

How is it annoying if you're straight? It's the Gay-STRAIGHT Alliance. For homosexuals, heterosexuals and bisexuals. No one's being left out. How is it annoying in the slightest?
Hell yeah it does, if you had to deal with this acceptance shit everyday you would be fed up with it. I just don't understand how you guys support this. When the truth is being gay is a mental disorder that some people are born with. Not a bandwagon you can hop on to be hip and being a rebel against "old ways".
Explain how being attracted to the same sex is a mental disorder.
Oh wait, you can't, you cunt.
It's funny because you'd essentially cripple the United States by doing that
think of the calculators!
I feel sorry for the sane Texans, having to put up with this shit.

LOL.
Can't Texas just succeed already.

They have, and very much so, which is why the United States needs it.
