Doesn't make much sense how freemium content would lower the framerate. Fact was the game looked bad and looked like it played bad.
Honestly just the fact that Kamiya got mental strain from working on it is enough to tell me MS were being major cunts about it, dude's already known for being a workaholic from what he did during W101 (sleeping in the office and such) and yet he managed to get pushed to a limit on a game that got cancelled anyways. I've got insane respect for the dude, it hurt a lot just realising he hadn't even been on twitter since the end of December.
Willing to bet whichever specific exec was responsible for this was also responsible for the cancellation of Phantom Dust (may have had a similar situation with being asked to do too much), which was one of the only other Xbone games I was looking forward to and it got shitcanned early.
Fuck Microsoft.
Everyone needs to stop with the baseless conjecture until something actually backed up by facts comes out.
Is there any reason to own a xbone or PS4 now unless you be want to play Bloodborne, anime games, or (haha) Halo 5?

Sports games. other than that I can't really think of anything.

Ease of use, cheaper(either in time or in cost), games usually run better than shitty pc ports, servers are usually more populated (titanfall for example)
In summary, yes, there's plenty of reasons.

PS4? Ace Combat 7 is the only thing coming, since Yakuza 6 appears to be shit.
Xbone? Forza Horizon 3, because the PC version has serious problems.

Ahahahahaha none of those are true anymore.
Consoles are a fucking mess of installation and other bullshit. Steam is so easy compared to all the hoops that are on console. Also games download and load faster.
Consoles have shitty monthly charge for online play and games don't go on sale as soon.
Console games run like shit, pc ports have been continually improving. Commonplace bad ports only happened from like 2008-2012.
Even if a game is more popular on console as soon as they shutdown the servers for a game you're completely fucked. Can't really do LAN workaround like PC.

Ahahaha it's a matter of preference really.
Console game installation is hardly a mess. You download shit, you play shit. Easy as steam. Dunno how games download faster on steam, it's the same.
Agree on charges, no argument there.
From my experience pc games either run on par or worse than console ones, even in 2016. See Dishonored or Quantum Break. Even when they moved QB to steam it still runs like ass. Doom is a great exception but that's all it is, an exception.
By the time the servers shut down chances are I won't care at that point. For most pc games you can't do lan workaround anymore either since they have no lan feature and depend on master servers to manage inventories and other crap.
Games install a lot slower on Consoles due to lower hardware, also a lot of new games do that weird shit where it tells you that you can play but it's just the menu.
Don't buy games with bad performance. Also I'd wager the console versions seemed to run better because they're of a lower framerate standard and don't have tools to measure it.

Download speeds on consoles are fucking awful. It takes me all day to download a game on the PS4 that takes about an hour on the PC. If I was close enough to my router to be wired in the PC would see a significant boost, the PS4 doesn't even max out my wireless speed.
Another thing is the appeal of console games, to me at least, was that you could just throw the disk in and go. These days you have to install games from the disk, meaning it's no longer faster to start playing.
Previously the reasons to compare consoles and PC was that despite the PC being much more powerful the consoles were easier and much less hassle. That's still the case to most people, but the difference between them in hassle has decreased, while the performance difference has increased.
The only reason to own a console these days is if you want the exclusives, or if the PC is just too intimidating or expensive to get into. (And PC prices are still pretty awful if you're not in America or some major country).
Xbone? Forza Horizon 3, because the PC version has serious problems.
Forza Horizon 3 is kind of weird. The game engine seems to be really built and optimized at 30fps. It's problematic if you're aiming for 60+fps gameplay, but if you're willing to tolerate 30fps on the game, it's rock solid, even on low spec PCs. One silver lining on PC too is that it can handle 4k at max settings smoothly too, as long as you lock the game at 30fps, since the game never manages to drop below that threshold.
It is going to vary to a lot of people, especially since a racing game ideally is objectively better at higher frame rates, but the game feels very smooth and playable at its 30fps target. So if you already have a decent mid-range PC, you can actually get a better quality experience with the PC version since Xbox One version is 30fps anyways.
Regarding high frame rate gameplay again, there are some weird fixes that work for some people (including me) such as turning off CPU0's affinity and the game will be able to manage a mostly stable 60fps with a few drops to 55 here and there.
Plus Xbox One and PC version is tied, so you're only going to have to buy a single copy and you'll be good to go to play on both platforms.
Told my wife I was going to buy this, saved money up and everything. It sucks, but it works out we've got a baby coming in may so that's an extra 2 sets of diapers lol

I download games at my rated internet speed on my Xbox one???
I download games at my rated internet speed on my Xbox one???
Yeah the Xbox one is capped around 60 Mb/s, but still, that's faster than most connections, and it's obviously not a I/O limit. It will pull that at the same time as copying from the Blu-ray at well over 100 Mb/s. And multitasking. It's very much an artificial cap. Also if an update supersedes data on the Blu-ray, it will premptively skip copying it to reduce install time.
PSN download speeds are just shit, so going by PS4 is a bad example.

Seems like he's fine but I hope he just looks after himself.

I'm glad he's doing fine but I think it's absolutely abhorrent that some """insiders""" on twitter started spreading rumours about another man's mental health and people actually believing it
I get the odd feeling that he really did have to leave and he's just putting up a front but eh, either way here's to hoping he really is doin fine.
The game looked too slow and sorta generic but the setting looked pretty neat, it's a bummer man
