"Operation American Spring" promises to drive Obama from office
Self-styled revolutionary patriots plan to converge on Washington, D.C., this week to drive President Barack Obama and disloyal lawmakers out of office.
“We are calling for the removal of Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Harry Reid, Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Nancy Pelosi, and Eric Holder as a start toward constitutional restoration,” said retired Army Col. Harry Riley, leader of the Operation American Spring protest group. “They have all abandoned the US Constitution, are unworthy to be retained in a position that calls for servant status.”
Operation American Spring aims to pressure those lawmakers who remain – or are replaced by officials of their own choosing – “to sponsor and pass very Constitutionally crafted State legislation to dissolve the size, powers, scope and spending of the U.S. Government by 2/3rds.”
The activists say they expect 10 million to 30 million like-minded Americans to join them Friday in the nation’s capital for a rally patterned after Occupy Wall Street and “Arab Spring” protests.
no.
Being the president must be getting to be an increasingly stressful job 'cause you've gotta deal with all the fuckups of your predecessors as well as deal with all the whackjobs who think that you're the entire government in addition to all the usual presidential stuff that needs done

I was once working on a mod and a guy on the team was 100% sure that the second American Revolution was coming and it'd be in the form of this million man armed march on DC. He claimed a million patriots with rifles were going to organize and storm the capital and when the military tried stopping them by evily gunning them down, the army would join the rebels and destroy the government and put Ron Paul on his rightful throne.
The march ended up having two people show up and one of them was a drunken old man who didn't understand what was going on.
Sometimes I wish these people should be placed in a real dictatorship/country that limits your freedom to make them understand how it is like.
...and then want to have the US become part of Russia!

Its always been like that.
They don't have to try very hard. All they need to do is wait a couple years.
"American Spring" how offensive is that title. Entitled dickwads make me sad to live where I live.

Just because something is better than other bad things doesn't mean you shouldn't try and make it better. Complacency is dangerous for stuff like this.
Why does noone like obongo?????

In the words of our forefathers (apparently)
"Cuz he black, he daddy black!"

Hahah what? 30 million? That's just a little above the population of Texas. I don't think it's even possible for Washington DC to take that many people in it.

he's Americas worst black president ever

Because America is slowly slipping down the slide into fascism?
too bad he cannot get re-elected though so their wish will come through when his second term ends.

I came here to post that. Do these people not realize that hes out of office in 2 short years? Like christ, if you put up with him for the last 6, what good is it that you are protesting him now
Knowing these kind of 'patriots', maybe they can expect 10 to 30 million pounds to visit the Capitol
He may be out in 2 years, but I think for the people who do show up, that's 2 years not soon enough. They want him gone now, before he can wreck things even further than he already has.
(It's the most likely logic they're using)

I thought this Youtube comment was pretty interesting.

I did a quick set of calculations and as usual, the birthers and teabillies come out as a laughingstock.
The national mall consists of 309 acres, that’s 13.5 million sq feet (including water and the tops of monuments, more on that in a bit.
Now Washington DC has within it’s borders, 1500 miles of road surface. According to the national average, that’s 37.5 million sq feet.
Assuming 10 million nutbags actually show up…. where would we put them?
Well if we assume that packed in evenly and given barely enough room just to breathe, but not enough to actually move or function in any way, a human requires 5 sq ft to stand and not die. So that’s 50 million sq ft required for the OAS rally.
All the area of the roadways and the national mall add up to 51 million sq ft.
So congratulations nutbags. If you managed to somehow
1. pack everyone in, without moving, in the water and on top of monuments, in the National Mall (teleportation perhaps?), and;
2. Occupy every square foot of road surface as well, and;
3. No vehicles were moving or even parked on any road in the city, and;
4. No resident of the city left their home for the duration, and;
5. Nobody needed to use the bathroom…….
You might just make it work.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!•
As long as these people do this civilly, I can't see much of a problem(except being a bit paranoid). Capitol Police and Metro PD will put a foot up in anyone's ass that tries to do some stupid shit.
Harry Riley doesn't exist lol
i doubt this will happen. people were talking about starting a revolution in October during the government shutdown, and nothing happened
So this is what my friend's dad has been bragging about. "I'm gonna go with them to Washington and save America!"
:rolleyes:
Hahaha. No, guys, that won't be happening. This is going to get about as much traction as that stupid trucker protest that was supposed to shut down DC. :rolleyes:
