Why do they keep expecting huge waves of supporters to suddenly show up out of thin air? It certainly as fuck didn't work for Mitt Romney when they expected the tide to come in and save the day. [editline]14th May 2014[/editline] I mean for fucks sakes the polls showed he wasn't going to win, but they still expected it to magically change at the last second.
Its always been like that.
True, but I'd think it'd be a bit more noticeable in this day and age
way to rip off the Arab Spring. Arabia will see these folks in court for copyright.
They will be lucky to have 10 people show up, let alone 10 million.
Organizers also anticipate “incremental nullification” by state legislatures of “all withholding taxes, employment taxes, employer taxes, and income taxes.”
haha what the fuck.
Yeah why does the Government need to take our money when they can just print their own! :downs:
Yeah why does the Government need to take our money when they can just print their own! :downs:
Because the more money printed, the less valuable it is.
Because the more money printed, the less valuable it is.
bro do you not know what :downs: means
That's like some Kony 2012 optimism right there.
no.
Yeahhhh they aren't gonna have 10k or 1000, let alone 10 million. That's pure delusion.
Sometimes I wish these people should be placed in a real dictatorship/country that limits your freedom to make them understand how it is like.
Me too because then my country wouldn't be full of these morons.
I came here to post that. Do these people not realize that hes out of office in 2 short years? Like christ, if you put up with him for the last 6, what good is it that you are protesting him now
"B-b-b-but muh Sitzkrieg. :c"
He may be out in 2 years, but I think for the people who do show up, that's 2 years not soon enough. They want him gone now, before he can wreck things even further than he already has. (It's the most likely logic they're using)
The only thing I've seen him legitimately wreck as far as what's going on "at home" is this Affordable Healthcare business. I'm sure it works fine in states that actually have money, but when you're like me and busting ass for $11 an hour and the only insurance policy you/your company can afford is either: 1) Pay nothing monthly, but pay a $4000 deductible, or 2) Pay $75-100 a month, pay a $1000 deductible shit just doesn't work out, can't really afford EITHER plan, and in my line of work it's very likely I could sustain some sort of injury that I'll eventually have to pony-up for. Then there's my mom. She has Celiacs and severe Crohn's disease. There are 36 insurers in our state, and the cheapest of those is $465 a month. BUT, there's only SIX of those that cover this zip-code, and the cheapest of THOSE is $750 a month. Her infusions have gone from $6,000 each to $45,000 each, and they "can't afford to dilute them in saline" anymore so her whole body feels like it's about to burst into flames three days after the procedure, and she needs to get them once every two months.
So this is what my friend's dad has been bragging about. "I'm gonna go with them to Washington and save America!"
you should be like "hey I'll go to!" and show up in klansman robes
you should be like "hey I'll go to!" and show up in klansman robes
I don't want to support his insane delusions. My friend has to live with him.
given that obama has been one of the most gun-friendly presidents in recent history it should be really easy for them to overthrow the government
When did we allow RT to be single sourced in SH again?
Sucks knowing people like these exist in the US, especially those who think Obama will not give up his office once his term ends. Can't wait to see their reactions when all the shit they say is just dumb bullshit, and they just do it again to the next president who doesn't meet their personal checklist for a good(shitty) president.
Sometimes I wish these people should be placed in a real dictatorship/country that limits your freedom to make them understand how it is like.
Well, considering RT is supporting this, they might get that soon if Russia decides to use this as an excuse to invade "in the defense of persecuted ethnic Russians".
Sucks knowing people like these exist in the US, especially those who think Obama will not give up his office once his term ends. Can't wait to see their reactions when all the shit they say is just dumb bullshit, and they just do it again to the next president who is a black Democrat.
Fixed that one for you. Bush launched a fraudulent war that killed a hundred thousand innocent people, and he was never treated with the kind of hateful, racist, "foreign-born usurper" attitude that Obama's critics have had from the day they saw a black man being inaugurated and cried "What happened to this great country!?"
given that obama has been one of the most gun-friendly presidents in recent history it should be really easy for them to overthrow the government
You seem to be forgetting that our government has (arguably) the most advanced military on the planet along with National Guard outposts all over the place, as well as plenty of highly armed police officers of varying numbers in the area. If there is any sort of clash or overthrow attempt, it won't end nicely for the civilians, and there's gonna be a lot of hurt/dead people if anything even does happen.
When did we allow RT to be single sourced in SH again?
It might be a sketchy source but there are tonnes of websites about this OAS deal. It's a real thing, despite how unlikely anything is to come of it.
The "American Spring"? They named themselves after the fucking Arab spring? They are aware that the Arab spring, while a necessary part of the revolution process, did lead to a shedload of deaths before things got sorted, and in some cases lead to worse regimes, right? oh wait, that'd require them to read something that isn't DEH ILLUMENERDY.

I honestly don't get why people despise Obama so much surely he's no Roosevelt or Lincoln, but he's not awful I'd go as far to say as he's been better then anything we've had in a while.
I'm on the fence, didn't he say he'd close Gitmo and yet it's still open...?
He said he'd close gitmo. Instead his office started shipping inmates (secretly and under cover in some cases) to international detention facilities around the world. He promised he'd withdraw from Afghanistan, yet in his first term he increased the number of troops there and even still, we maintain a good presence there. Despite the whole "We withdrew our troops!" charade. He promised a foreclosure alternative/prevention system that would protect families in need during economic turbulence. He promised to create a financial account which would be used to save up for and improve roads/bridges that were in serious need of maintenance but who's county/state could not or would not afford them. He promised to instill laws/regulations that would prevent bankrupt corporations/banks (who were bailed out) from providing their CEO's with bonuses and incentives. He promised to put in place rules and regulations that would monitor the pharmaceutical industry, helping smaller companies (generic prescripts) by preventing larger companies from stonewalling their products. Effectively monopolizing the market. And those are just the one's I remember, guess how many he followed through with? Here's a hint: [sp]Zero[/sp] Those are just the one's I personally remember. The list goes on and on and on and on! (Six pages worth)
It should be noted that the president does not have full control over all of those things. Like the one about laws regarding CEO pay. You do realize the president doesn't draft laws, right? Were you awake in middle school?

Where are you going to move the inmates that are meant to be there? What money are you going to appropriate to the shutdown process? The guys held there will probably need some form of trial to decide whether they can be released or not, that's going to take a lot of time and money as well. Imposing better restrictions of the treatment of inmates would have at least been a strong step in the right direction however, yeah so what if they're "terrorists", treating them like subhuman scum isn't going to stop them being murderous assholes, it'll make them resent you more. Though aren't the remaining troops in Afghanistan there more as a peace keeping operation whilst they try and get the locals back on track after we all fucked them up so bad? If they aren't there as an active combat force (and there are significantly less soldiers over there now anyway), and instead are there to try and get some of the infrastructure back, that doesn't sound like a bad compromise on the "promise" really.
He promised he'd withdraw from Afghanistan
No he didn't. He specifically said we needed less troops in Iraq and MORE in Afghanistan. Does your memory not work?
It should be noted that the president does not have full control over all of those things. Like the one about laws regarding CEO pay. You do realize the president doesn't draft laws, right? Were you awake in middle school?
Oh christ.. I didn't say he "Oh he didn't make the laws", though to be fair I could have clarified. But MANY of the items on the list. Before his campaign he was "Oh, we're going to do this!" and then after he's in office it immediately changed "Well, we have more pressing matters." Sure, but that doesn't mean you need to abandon the fight for your promises. I understand Obama (or any other president for that matter) do not have full 100% control over the system of law. Largely, that is congress. But he DOES have the power to trump, block, veto, and otherwise control the ebb n flow. If you think he's completely useless and powerless, then why are you even here reading the article and debating what he has or has not done? In fact, why even consider him a figure of importance outside of anything besides a "figure head"?
He was never going to close Gitmo, it's a fucking impossibility right now. So it's okay to lie to get what you want? Knowing full well you will never take responsibility for your promises. This is our fucking country at stake here, people. Not some Television show where you get to vote the next islander off. If my understanding is correct, the original reason we went in there was to "bring peace to the region and quell the threat of terrorism", but since we've been there local/domestic terrorism has shot through the roof, economies (Iraq/Afghanistan/Iran) have plummeted and we have largely destabilized the political balance of the region (what little there was, anyways..)
