Then don't read them

Or people could stop bitching about what some PR guy thinks about gay men. Food holds no political value AFAIK.
Pretty self-centred attitude
Guys next time you make a thread make sure you run it past Chernarus to make sure it's relevant to his interests
Both sides are caught in a childish attempt to use a fucking sandwich store to show their views. No one pushes their side's agenda here. The anti-gays want to make sure gay marriage is illegal and make the gays less social accepted, but of course, crowding into a restaurant with like-minded people has nothing to do with that, and therefore it's fucking pointless. The gays were so upset by this, they thought they would go to the place where anti-gays were crowded and piss them off. Good Plan. Certainly this will legalize gay marriage and make them accepted everywhere. Wait, it doesn't? You mean kissing in from of the adamantly anti-gay will only concrete their disgust and disapproval?
Tldr;
Both sides are childish.

Yes good job not reading anything and missing the point entirely

Gay people do not have to win the fucking approval of the anti-gay crowd
It's called equal rights, fuck how disgusted or disapproving they may be
This is being blown WAY TO FUCKING OUT OF PROPORTION. Its a fucking fast food chain, who gives a shit what their political stance is. Is the taste suddenly different because some PR guy says something about gay people? No! Any person with some sort of brain capacity, doesn't fucking care about it.
they donated to groups which advocated for death penalty to gays in countries like Uganda
some people don't like funding murder
Why the fuck does a fast food restaurant have a stance on gay marriage in the first place?

Has to do with the fact that the main corporation allegedly gave money to a very anti-gay activist group, Exodus International.
Speaking of which though, is there any proof, or is that just hearsay? I totally support this movement against the restaurant chain and all, but before I accuse them of supporting lynch mobs, I need to make sure I have some evidence. All I've heard is just rumor or biased news with no source to their claim.

ffs it has nothing to do with what Chick-fil-A thinks about gays, its about how they finance anti-gay groups. If you buy from Chick-fil-A, you are indirectly giving to the said groups, hence the boycotting and Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.
This is really not hard to understand.

It's the president of the company. Read the article.
Who the fuck cares, its a fast food chain. They have no political power at all and people are bitching over nothing.
[editline]3rd August 2012[/editline]
There was a fuckton less bitching about Mitt Romney or some other republican being anti-gay.
Actually...ever since a few laws/precedents were set, such as Citizens United, any corporation can pay congress and pres. huge sums of money. While it does get reported publicly, that does nothing to deter corporations from skewing congress with huge sums of money, just look at the mess with PIPA and SOPA.

This just in, large and wealthy corporations have no political power!
nobody wants to watch them kiss while they eat.
Why do people have this problem? Do you still believe in fucking cooties?
I can't help but believe anyone who says this is eight.

I don't get your point. PIPA and SOPA didn't pass. Yeah sure, they can lobby for the law, but passing it is a different story. You and I can lobby for a law. I feel like you're taking this into conspiracy territory now.
Really pathetic that they'd do this in protest of the views of a chicken restaurant or whatever it is. Kissing in front of it does nothing but degrade the way people view them, nobody wants to watch them kiss while they eat.
And who even CARES what a chicken restaurant thinks? They're always protesting or parading and it does nothing but annoy people. If they weren't so outspoken about what they do nobody would care, but they continually force it upon people like it should be everyone's business. I don't even see why they're protesting like this when the president openly supports gays rights, there's literally nothing to protest about now. So ridiculous.
AngryChair you are honest to god one of the worst posters I have ever seen. Seriously do you even read what you type?
"Who even CARES what a chicken restaurant thinks?"
"Oh god ewww gays are kissing how degrading. NOW I care about this."

You are incredibly naive if you think that money can't buy some political power in America.
Or apparently in Uganda.

Yeah, they didn't pass, but it doesn't change the fact that those laws were even considered. Nothing good can come of corporations being able to throw truckloads of cash at people who run the country.
They have no political power at all
they buy political power what are you talking about

I honestly think gay people kissing each other is disgusting, doesn't mean I don't think they deserve equal rights.

yucky gays
Kinda seems like a waste of time.
I mean, it's not like every employee or owner of a CFA believes the same thing their president does.
Considering the south, a considerably large portion probably do.

are you implying gay people kissing is somehow worse than straight people kissing
I honestly think gay people kissing each other is disgusting, doesn't mean I don't think they deserve equal rights.
what do you find gross about it, if you don't mind me asking?
I honestly think gay people kissing each other is disgusting, doesn't mean I don't think they deserve equal rights.
Wow it's hardly any worse than you breeders kissing.

But SOPA and PIPA not passing proves that doesn't work either way. They weren't passed. Why are you hanging onto it?

They still run reeducate the gay camps even if they regret what happened in uganda
I bet Funion is having a field day.
Anyways, it's good that they too express themselves. Just like with slavery, it feels like the USA is the last to finally allow freedom and equality for those who have rarely had it in the past.
For a "free" country, we are certainly slow to embrace shit.
[sp]Also, a funny thing about our history: General Steuben, a formerly Prussian General, helped train and prepare the troops at Valley Forge and basically reform the poorly trained colonial militia into a true army. The reason he was formerly Prussian but switched was because the Prussians kicked him out for being a homosexual, but Washington overlooked it.
We ow our very survival as a country to homosexuals in a way, and yet we still infringe on their rights.[/sp]

In my city, there is a lightbulb company that exists for the sole purpose of spreading the word of god and providing its profits to religious political causes.
It's something zealots do. They make a career of being a bigot.
