I don't like Muse's music out of my personal taste, but I love this song.
Don't you mean Muse-ic?
Don't you mean Muse-ic?
you should feel bad
Every time I hear that song I'm always reminded of the flash animation I saw when I was younger. This one, actually http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/clocks
Muse is the kind of band you listen to if you want to be hip with the kids
no muse is the kind of band you listen to if you want to be hated and have cigarettes thrown at you
as someone who loves coldplay, best albums in order (opinion tho) X&Y A Rush Of Blood To The Head Mylo Xyloto Parachutes Viva la Vida [editline]3rd February 2013[/editline] I like clocks a lot but I think Yellow is kind of overrated, i think The Scientist is just a better Yellow imho
How can you rank Rush of Blood that high? I thought that was easily their worst album. So much of it was so forgettable. I'd say: Parachutes Mylo Xyloto X&Y Viva La Vida A Rush of Blood to the Head
Mylo Xyloto is probably my least favourite album, its too pop for me, although I do like most of the songs. Coldplay actually has some brilliant b-sides that most people never hear like I Ran Away, Crest of Waves, High Speed.
clocks is a pretty great song
Coldplay makes some very calming music.
Coldplay makes some very calming music.
One of their most calming
I love me some Coldplay so dang good. People saying "Their best songs are 'Yellow', 'Fix You', etc.," need to listen to more than their popular songs. Personal favorites are 'Strawberry Swing' and 'Cemeteries of London'.
coldplay is like generic store brand radiohead... i'd go so far as to say muse as well..
God don't even start this. It's bad enough that Youtube comments are always filled with this shit. I like Coldplay personally. I saw them live back in 2009 and I thought they were excellent. Mylo Xyloto is garbage though.
Am I the only one that had to listen to the song to remember it?
Arguably my favorite Coldplay song. The full album is pretty spectacular if you look at all of it's biblical references from a disenfranchised perspective. 'God Put a Smile upon your Face' tells a completely different story from an athiest perspective.
Mylo Xyloto is garbage though.
What was wrong with it? Paradise and Hurts Like Heaven were great in it though I've listened to Paradise so much that I've killed it.
What was wrong with it? Paradise and Hurts Like Heaven were great in it though I've listened to Paradise so much that I've killed it.
Honestly the only song off of Mylo Xyloto that I thought was decent is Major Minus. I never really got in to any of the other songs even after repeatedly listening to them. It just falls flat in comparison to Parachutes or Rush of Blood. A Rush of Blood to the Head is amazing, I think. It's got to be one of my favorite albums of all time.

Charlie Brown live is probably one of my favorite things to listen to.
Viva La Vida is a much better album than Mylo Xyloto
I prefer the less known songs tbh
Supreme version of Clocks. Also Coldplay is fucking amazing, went to a concert of them and it was fucking incredible.
At first I thought "Clocks, never heard of it". Then I went and Youtube'd it just to see. Oh... THAT song. Pass.
I love this song so much.
Does it not bother anyone else that the song, disregarding the vocals, is basically the same riff and beat all the way through with very minor adjustments? It's like they wrote that one little bit and thought "Yeah, that sounds good, lets play it for 4 minutes and call it a day."
Coldplay is utter shit, mixing 1995-era-Radiohead-esque instantly forgettable pop-rock whining with the unabashed arena-friendly bombast and dimestore "inspirational" messages and imagery of U2, making for arguably the single most unlistenable mainstream band of the past decade whose worthless musical stylings make post-grunge pap such as Foo Fighters or even Nickelback seem positively inspired by comparison. Fuck Coldplay. There are two types of people in the world: people who want to repeatedly punch Chris Martin in the face and Chris Martin.

My favorite band. Glad this song won I suppose, but there were some songs that were debatably better like Chicago by Sufjan Stevens. [editline]3rd February 2013[/editline]
There are two types of people in the world: people who want to repeatedly punch Chris Martin in the face and Chris Martin.
Don't forget the people who'd like to punch you in the face.
no muse is the kind of band you listen to if you want to be hated and have cigarettes thrown at you
Where I live pretty much everyone adores Muse for some reason. They have a couple of good songs but I don't think I would sit through a full album. Too much filler. Anyway Coldplay is alright. I can think of worse bands. They get a bit bland but I wouldn't turn off a radio in disgust if they came on.
"My opinion is fact".
Don't tell me you're one of those people who insist on other people saying/writing/typing out "well, in my opinion" before actually stating their opinions. Of course it's my opinion, what else could it be?
;39459505']Don't forget the people who'd like to punch you in the face.
According to the latest research results, no such people exist yet. 80% of the world's population "thinks Snivlem is a pretty nifty guy", 15% of the world's population "would give their hand to Snivlem in marriage", 5% of the world's population "prays at the temple of Snivlem 23 hours a day, and spends the 24th hour asleep, dreaming of praying at the temple of Snivlem", 0% of the world's population has the urge to engage in fisticuffs with Snivlem.

Elbow at number three? I approve. I remember when they opened for a Coldplay show I went to. It was my introduction to both bands and it could have hardly been better.
