Especially not for a 43 year old man, he could have done quite serious time for that. In the eyes of the law she was not mature enough, not really a point worth contesting.

Even though she was under the age of consent it doesn't make him a paedophile. Paedophilia is the attraction to pre-pubescent children. 16 is well into puberty.

Age of consent in the legal sense is pretty cut and dry, even if the scientific/psychological community isn't so sure it's a 100% flawless measure. You have sex with a minor, you go to jail and get put on the Registered Sex Offenders list, plain and simple. As far as the law cares, he's a pedophile. Now he's a dead one.

Which is what "age of consent" means. Though I'm pretty sure cases like that are treated individually and some exceptions happen.

This keeps happening. Pages upon pages of bullshit caused simply by the word [I]"pedophile"[/I].
