I already got L.A Noire from Steam for $5.00.
Too bad that sale is over.
They may have gotten a sale going before steam did but fuck sake steam is still better to use
Sorry, processing is taking longer than expected.
Please do not reorder this item.
Game and Software downloads go through extra verification that may take up to 4 hours.
this was after 30 minutes of being frozen at the 'processing' screen. fuck off amazon and give me max payne already fffffFFFFF

I've bought PC games from Amazon multiple times and never had any issue, usually for me it was just buying it then accessing the Steam code from my account screen.
Then you just plug that into Steam.
What I'm trying to say is that personally I've never had a single issue with Amazon, so I don't really see it as any "worse" than Steam in any way except that Steam usually has better deals.
£20 seems a bit much for Max Payne 3, think I'll wait it out on that one
Fool, Max Payne 3 is an outstanding game. Worth every penny.
Max Payne 3 will be 50% off until the 4th then will be 33% off until the 14th.
Spec ops, syndicate, darkness 2, bioshock and many of the other games will be at this price until the 14th. Then some of the packs switch weekly.
Amazon plans on offering 7/8/2012 a THQ pack including Metro 2033, Darksiders, Nexuiz, Red Faction Armageddon, Red Faction Armageddon Path to War DLC, and Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance.
7/8-7/14:
Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box [Download] - $4.99
Need For Speed World Bronze Starter Pack [Online Game Code] - $7.49
Need For Speed World Gold Starter Pack [Online Game Code] - $14.99
Need For Speed World Silver Starter Pack [Online Game Code] - $11.24
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit [Download] - $4.99
7/12-7/14
Need for Speed: The Run [Download] - $9.99
Kingdoms of Amalur - $25
$5/ea for DLCs
I only have 20$ (can get more but transferring funds to paypal takes ~1 week) saved for this year summer sales
Is Civ V + Civ IV pack worth 15$?
Remember kids, non-us residents use a fake address
Such as 90210, California
Last year I spent $7 on Steam's summer sale.
That was $7 more then I had planned on spending.
Not only does steam have better deals, but it'd break my heart to support a game distributor other than steam.
This is awesome! I just got Spec Ops: The Line for $25! Considering it just came out last week I wasn't expecting anywhere to have it on sale for so cheap. I don't expect steam to give it such a huge discount, if any, during the summer sale either.
As for the rest, I couldn't care less.
Get Spec Ops: The Line. It is well-worth the $25.
Just got Spec Ops: The Line. That was the last of my money, I hope it was worth it.
Godammit, it's not here in canada. Fuck.
I just had to come here for a vacation, I just HAD to....
Guys get spec ops the line
the demo did the game no justice
hands down one of the best shooter stories ever
I love me some Summer sales in the middle of Winter.
Eight bucks for Borderlands? Cool! Still going to wait for it on Steam.
I got it for like 4 bucks from Amazon few months ago
How do you know if a game off Amazon activates on Steam? Does it say it anywhere or what?
How do you know if a game off Amazon activates on Steam? Does it say it anywhere or what?
It'll say "PC-Download Steam DRM" when you view the product page.
Max Payne 3 is a fucking awesome game that everyone should buy
I've already played all those games except like syndicate and mw3 :\
Meanwhile in the future of Origin

The one, a week ago doesn't count, as EA says that they won't be doing such deals.
The Civ 5 DLC is half off, but it still feels like I'm paying too much.
It's really not worth it. Now if it was the Gods and Kings DLC at half price, it'd be a steal but most of the other DLC is a rip off that hardly changes anything... unless you REALLY love Vikings or Koreans or whichever you buy.
Also, avoid the Cradle of Civilization, it's 1.50 each for content you won't even notice that you have.

GMG has Gods and Kings for $19.49. Seems like a great deal to me, worth every penny. Plus it comes w/ the spain dlc I think.
How do you know if a game off Amazon activates on Steam? Does it say it anywhere or what?
Most will say in the system requirements or somewhere in the description. Most games don't explicitly state if they use Steam in the product price area.

US proxy + home address = you're still good
Sorry to bump the thread, folks, but Amazon added a new one: Binary Domain for only $9.99.
If you're on the fence about this one, now's a good time to get it.

A bunch of other games too.
Square Enix pack, and a pack of games including Mirror's Edge, the Saboteur and 3 others.
Mirror's Edge
anyone who hasn't played this needs to go buy it right now
you guys should check out spec ops
it has pretty good shooting mechanics but the story is brutally amazing; its like a PTSD simulator concealed within a normal-looking third person shooter
its like a PTSD simulator concealed within a normal-looking third person shooter
But if everyone keeps saying this then future players will be more mentally prepared for the game.
