They never said anything with 'Wii 2' in it.
How would it not have better graphics than Xbox 360 and Ps3? Those are more than 6 year old. It would be stupid of Nintendo not to make it so.
and not a single fuck was given that day
If you can read the posts before you, you can tell this sentence is untrue.
They would be stupid to call it the Wii 2, Nintendo tend to vary the name of their consoles a bit more instead of just adding a digit or 3 like its competitors. COMPETITION IS GOOD IT DRIVES INNOVATION (or copy cats) so it will be interesting to see. I AM EXCITE
What and we didn't even get a starfox for the wii?
I'm not getting it. The first Wii was a dissapointment to me.
First Wii was a Gimmick.
Please give it more than a gig of RAM and set a good precedent for the other consoles to beat. That's been a huge limiting factor as far as Console -> PC ports go.
Wii 2? Boring, give us a brand new console! Seriously if it doesn't have at least PS3/XBOX360 like graphics this console will be casual paradise then again only bbc calls it wii 2, kotaku says it'll have better graphics than current gen consoles and it'll be brand new and shit
Rumor has that it's more powerful than current gen consoles and it might have a more "hardcore" focus. Which would really dent MS and Sony as their major draw was the hardcore market. You bet your ass people will jump on a new console right now if it's better than the competition in every way - and when MS and Sony are busy trying to make their consoles last 5 more years by introducing the gimmicks that Nintendo might be phasing out themselves, it's gonna really hit home for them. Though who knows, I can't really see Nintendo abandoning their newly established casual market completely either.
"The talk was about Wii HD, but I do not see Nintendo doing that. It will do something more innovative," he told BBC News.
i.e more gimmicky shit nobody wants.
You can speculate about it's hardware all you want, but all i need is good games. How about it Nintendo? No more motion shit games please. No more mii's in our games.
If the next major console is on-par with most gaming-savvy PC's of today I will be happy. The 360 had this:
Graphics processing is handled by the ATI Xenos, which has 10 MB of eDRAM. Its main memory pool is 512 MB in size
The same as a Radeon X1950 GT :v:
i.e more gimmicky shit nobody wants.
Controllers with screens on them and screens on those and speakers and a place to hang your coat
Y'know what the Wii contoller needs? A drink holder.
Controllers with screens on them and screens on those and speakers and a place to hang your coat
Don't forget hats.
I bet the graphics will be outdated the moment it is released
I bet the graphics will be outdated the moment it is released
Most console graphics are already outdated.
By the time the WII 2 comes out, Sony and Microsoft will have announced there next console. and nobody will give a shit about the Wii with graphics that will probably still be shittier then the current gen consoles and crappy motion controlling.
Eh, if it is completely backwards compatible and can upscale with Wii and GameCube games I'll buy.
They should at least name it the Super Wii. Nintendo has a history of using the word super. They used it with the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and the used it with Super Mario.
but will it print money?
Actually more pleased to hear this because it may spark the next gen of consoles with any luck.
not me, i just got my ps3, so if this happens OBVIOUSLY in at least 2 years they will have a new one.
i am so happy i want to know more!!!
The excitement of the Wii faded fairly quickly for me. Once I had finished playing Twilight Princess the Wii pretty much had nothing else to offer me, so I sold it. Glad I did. But there is just something in me that makes me want to see Nintendo do well. I had the original NES as a kid and I've had every console they've made since. I want to see them do well, even if it means I may pass on getting their new console if it doesn't have anything that appeals to me.

I've used it more for playing Gamecube games than I have for playing Wii games.
I doubt it will have good enough specs to say amazing for very long. By the time the other next gens come out the specs will look crappy again. Also why has nintendo gotten lazy with names recently? Super mario galaxy 2, wii 2. They used to come up with a different idea each time.

Still waiting for 4DS.
It should feature 3d like the ds, so that it has something going for it. Also they should make an actually decent Mario game that isn't shit
