In the article is says it will be used for SWAT and narcotics operations. Do you realize how expensive it would be to have them flying around daily?
Imagine seeing this thing fly towards you I'd shit myself
Of course you would Because you'd be dead
That thing is pretty neat.
Wow, It's actually my birthday today and now I know what I want.
ehh.. it tries to stun you? can't i just take a shoe off and throw it at the blades? (if it's flying low)
I'd love for someone to be able to control it like Battlefield 2's helicopters, it'd be unstoppable.
I wonder how many people would be laughing about taking one of these down when they have a police officer knocking on their door to serve an arrest warrant for destruction of police property and probably obstruction of justice as well.
flip it upside down and replace the rotors with blades, add a red light on the front

Oh would you people please stop acting like they are eye bots or some shit. They are meant for special operations, not for flying around the city like police officers watching the people.
Oops I hit the wrong button, I meant taser but it used the shotgun.
Until someone find outs the frequency it runs on and makes a jamming device out of electronics you can buy from the local store. Granted you won't be able to take control of it as it will probably be digitally encrypted, but the frequency it runs on can be jammed like any other signal, rendering it useless. Unless they use several different bands as a backup, but I doubt it.
Now I can't smoke weed in my backyard because I'm afraid I'll get tazered
Now I can't smoke weed in my backyard because I'm afraid I'll get tazered
Good point! It needs a smell detector too!
Now the drug users of the world are screwed. Well fellas we had a good run.
Oh would you people please stop acting like they are eye bots or some shit. I never asked for this. (come on, I'm amazed there wasn't a Deus Ex reference already)

Plug in. *problems fixed* [editline]22nd August 2011[/editline] especially if one of those problems is fertility but eh.

Great, more power to the police, just what we need. Considering all the abuse in power by police lately and the little requirements to become one, putting this into their hands doesn't seem to be the brightest idea, at all.
As much badass this sounds, How long until the fucking CYLONS attack?

Also, America, your 'obstruction of justice' charge is the most ambiguous and vague bullshit I've ever heard. And what, does that suddenly mean you can shoot down a search helicopter because it was flying over someone's house? And obstruction of justice is used if, in anyway, you impede a law enforcement officer's ability to carry out their duty. If you lie to them or misdirect them during an investigation, hide evidence, try to block them from legal entry to an area, or destroy a vital part of a current investigation such as this UAV, that is obstruction of justice.
Are you related to a police officer by any chance?
One of my grandmothers had an uncle who was a police officer I think and I never met him and don't know much of anything about him. Its nothing to do with that, I'm just pointing a couple things out. Ohh, one of my great great grandfathers was head of security for some company that did infrastructure construction I'd say a century ago. I have his golden pocket watch. Does that count?
1984
HURR IT'S 1984 YOU KNOW THAT BIT IN 1984 WHERE THEY HAVE THE REMOTE CONTROL ah wait shit
Could be shot down with a pellet gun or even an airsoft gun if hit in the right place
