Letting people favour others based on their gender is a recipe for sexism - which is exactly what's happening when people are allowed to practice whatever kind of sexuality they wish, mating with whomever they want. That's just oppressing homosexuals. Just like minorities are in a better position in certain school and workplace selection processes to meet quotas and prevent an area from becoming racially inequal, the government should regulate sexuality by randomly selecting who will mate with whom - with pairs drawn from the entire population. Everyone will have an equal chance. But saying that is already bordering on the line of acceptable, as it almost suggests that one option is better than the other. Such a barbaric attitude towards sexuality can't be allowed in a modern society.

A politician has a public eye not to say subversive comments like that. He was very clearly implying that he thought it was deviant. On your other point, it's my natural instinct to find guys attractive as it is for you to find women attractive. This instinct hasn't been modified by a piece of machinery, so it's natural, and last time I checked I was human.

I'm honestly befuddled as to why free love is such a debated topic. If you don't support gay marriage, don't get married to your own sex.
