Just like Pizzagate, people who want to believe in Goldengate ,with the evidence presented, look like retarded ideologues at the moment.
I for one though, am waiting excitingly for more of the inspired fanart/writings people have been coming up with to laugh at this universally hilariously moment.
So far what I've gotten from the thread and my own research is that
1. The golden showers are definitely the least important part of the document, whether fabricated by /pol/ or not.
2. The documents themselves are filled with very, very serious allegations. The scramble is currently on to verify them, some have already been proven false, such as the Prague visit, but others so far fit into a timeline.
a. the correlation between the events described in the document and previously verifiable facts was posted as a Twitter thread by one Chris Baugh (@chris_baugh_). He appears to maintain a semi-regularly updated political blog, generally centrist with right leaning beliefs, etc. He's essentially a third party that pieced together a plausible bigger picture, but in no way should he be considered anything more than an armchair journalist.
3. Checking through my list of journalists I follow on Twitter, the prevailing opinions so far seem split.
a. About 1/3rd appear to believe that the documents are entirely fake. Citing lack of sources, details, geographical accuracy, multiple misspellings, and the entirely basic Microsoft Word looking way it was typed.
b. The other 2/3rds are, hilariously enough, just making puns about golden showers and piss. In their more sober posts they seem to basically be saying "For the moment, this is hilarious. The truth of it is gonna come out in the next few days regardless of our intervention. Let's have fun before we deal with the inevitable consequences."
4. Even if the document is proven to be fake, the ramifications of it will be extreme and enduring. It has brought Trump and his advisor's connections to Russia under a public microscope, and there are very, very suspect things there, even outside the scope of the document. As long as it makes the morning news tomorrow morning, we can be sure that his inauguration and the next few weeks will be plagued with concerns with regards to Russia.
welp I dunno why I formatted it that way but there's my basic understanding of the situation and the parties involved thus far. time to go back to not posting for another several months I guess.
Made a correction: Chris Baugh's blog is in fact more in-line with centrist, slightly right leaning politics. My bad.
But what I don't like is this attitude of, "Who cares if it turns out fake, it was working in our favor" mentality. That I feel is harmful no matter what side you are on.
since you didn't answer it last time: who is saying this?
who cares if trump had some prostitutes pee on him? this is pissant yellow journalism from the leftist press
Not even the most serious allegation in the link.
"pissant"
"yellow journalism"
:downs:

You clearly haven't read the thread, or even the actual reports for that matter since there's more to it than the golden shower story.
The "leftist press" isn't even making anything up, Intel Officials are the ones saying this, they are simply reporting what they are saying. If you think this is fake then you must have a problem with the Intel Officials, not the press.
Not only that, but they're all mentioning that what these Intel Officials have said is currently UNSUBSTANTIATED. So they are not delcaring the story factual like you are implying.
https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1548262&p=51652027&viewfull=1#post51652027
it's a post deconstructing what may come out of this. it's saying the plan is shit if it's indeed a 4chan hoax, and it does so with logic and reasoning. so... what exactly is wrong with it? it's not painting inflammatory and unsubstantiated claims as inherently good
so what im getting from this is, if Trump doesn't play by Putin's rules, he's going to start dropping shit on him. Political blackmail
fuck what a time to be alive

just like to note this guy probably has a anti-pol bias simply because pol essentially doxxed his family and dug into his family at one point for saying trump supporters jack off to anime on national tv.
this general unveil of all this shit is just hilarious though.
You dont really need to be doxxed by pol to have an anti pol bias
yeah i understand. pol is p shit. just providing context on him and /pol/'s relationship tho just incase.

Anybody who doesn't have an anti-pol bias is more suspect tbh
Intel officials arent saying this. An ex intel official doing oppo research.
It isnt fake, but it isnt official.
According to most news sites, in addition to that guy unnamed intelligence officials were also listed as sources
most of you probably don't care but r/conspiracy is going pretty bonkers with this
r/conspiracy used to be neutral ground before the election but it became another r/the_donald with Clinton's dirty laundry. now that a left-wing conspiracy theory was finally awakened and is being posted + upvoted, people are crying shill and bots

Good summary. Though I would add that there are a lot of edits/jokes of the "dossier" and it's format: IE: written in Calibri, highlighted, etc

To be fair, the last time 5000+ people showed up the sub went Trump.
They have the right to be concerned
if a politician denies something it usually means they did it
If politician denies - he totally did it.
If politician is silent about it - he totally did it.
?????????
2016 was a depressing year in terms of news, but 2017 is gonna be hilarious.
I don't even know anymore about what's going on lol, the golden shower bit was funny but there's so many serious allegations (though as yet unproven) in that document some of it is most likely true.
It’s not “Fake News,” as Donald Trump just declared on Twitter, because the real news here is that Trump himself was briefed on the contents of this report. It’s unverified news, which is an entirely different thing that requires that you pay attention to where it came from, why, and how.
nice summary from The Verge http://www.theverge.com/2017/1/10/14232318/donald-trump-russia-obama-intelligence-report
This is honestly "too good" to be true, though it is pretty funny. I wouldn't put much stock in any internet investigations, those always involve just about 99% speculation and 1% circumstance.
Dont know what to think.
All I can say is that I love that I live in a country with some sanity.
Soo i wrote in beginning of thread that people already whipped their dicks out(sadly) about these news. I go to sleep, and upon waking up there is a friggen GOLDENgate ?!
... what!?

A report that alleges your Government has blackmail material on our President-Elect is still active? No fucking shit, dude. Seriously, no shit.
So Le Pen of France is a hard-righter openly funded by Russian interests.
Miloš Zeman of the Czech Republic is a hard-righter openly cozy with Russian interests.
Heinz-Christian Strache in Austria is a hard-righter who signed a cooperation pact with Russia.
Donald Trump in the U.S. is a hard-righter who is in open admiration with Russia.
European nations increasingly reporting cyberattacks stemming from Russia.
Right-wing press and fake news is experiencing a massive surge from seemingly nowhere, supporting all these candidates and casting doubts on any allegations against them.
Social media is being abused to astroturf on behalf of said candidates.
I mean, honestly. Hats off to Russia for pulling this shit off.
It's actually hilarious, that right after the entire world started bashing Russia for imperialism (Ukraine/Crimea scenario), Russia decided to simply spread influence covertly, US-style, and it fucking worked.
Remember when I warned that they were working up to some bogus treason charge to get Trump out of office? Lo and behold they suddenly come out with this information that would lead to impeachment if proven true. ("proven" in this case being an evidence-free report by the completely untrustworthy intelligence services which the MSM will take as word of God.)

To be honest, this all just sounds as a revenge by democrats against Trump.

I think he's talking about the whole piss deal and GoldenGate on its own :v:
So this document is leaked by a supposed former British Intelligence officer and its full of errors.
Also the document is completely unverified.
If i read all of this it seems that Buzzfeed just did no fact checking regarding this story at all and just ran with it. The only argument they provide to validate the document is that it have been circulating among elected officials, intelligence agents, and journalists for weeks.
Which does not make the document anymore valid.
Now I gotta say, this is your Magnus Opus of a post. I have never seen someone make an ant-hill into a mountain quite like that.
Hell, you even compared the timing of the events to let us know that they didn't happen at the same time!

if you're trying to deflect his point by talking about his posting quality for some reason, urine for a pleasant surprise
the fact that the alt-right are now complaining about fake news or fabricated news is making me piss myself with the hypocrisy.
