It's incredibly rare if you are moderately healthy and younger than 45.
This case is very curious. The victim must have had a congenital or undiagnosed heart condition. He seemed like he would be very healthy...
Sounds more like he overworked his body and it couldn't take it.
despite the rigorous workouts he endured, he wanted to keep doing drills at home

My cousin died of a heatstroke about 9 years ago during football practice. It's strange to hear about athletes dying while doing sports.
Sports like Football and Soccer (lot's of running/physical contact/physically harsh action) aren't good for your body, the body is put under immense stress for a long period of time and the body might simply just give up if the athlete goes past his limit, they literally die standing.
Maybe this is just me, but high school sports are simply not worth the concussions, lasting injuries, and occasional deaths that come with them. It just seems like an unnecessary risk and a huge detraction for what people should actually be doing in high school: learning worthwhile skills and preparing for further education. Running down a field and catching a ball is not a worthwhile skill. Your odds of turning that into a job you get paid real money for are about as good as winning the lottery. High school sports suck money away from more valuable programs and get kids hurt. I'd just as soon do away with them altogether.
It's a constant question society struggles with. Do you allow people to exploit themselves in order to earn a living.
Playing sports, for example, might be the only realistic way out of poverty for some. Do you take that chance away from them, even if it's for their own good? We allow people to choose to be soldiers, cops, firefighters, all jobs that are high risk. How do you decide what people are allowed to do and how do you decide where the line is?
These are tough decisions with no easy answers.
I'm having heart problems ever since I was born. It's my worst fear to go like that :( Doctors can't do much about it either. "Eat healthy and excercise." I'm doing it, but you can never know...
fact is heart attacks are the most likely way to go.
thing is.. worrying about it will probably get your heart going so for the time being it's good to enjoy life when you can without the ramifications.
As far as I'm personally concerned, I would rather my heart exploded than to have 3 years of bouts with cancer.

Don't forget brain aneurysms. My friend's dad died suddenly died out of the blue from one a couple years back, no reason for what so ever.

Tbh. that's what makes me have no fear of it at all.
AHHH I have arrhythmia and am prescribed adderall, news like this worries me.
Welp, I wrote my will thanks to this thread. In case shit like this happens.

What happened to Biotic?
I'm having rare heart pains too I guess when I die my time is up.
I lost my grandpa to a heart attack decades before I was even born, and holy shit, seeing someone so young, a couple of years younger than me, even, really makes me feel weird. If it could happen to him, for all I know, it could happen to me or someone else I know or love.

I believe it was a fatal asthma attack.
