Among other things. I admit that I projected certain expectations onto Trump, and was willfully ignorant of his dumb, easily manipulated nature, and his personal lack of any real principles. I still think he's been better than Hillary, but I had the bar set at rock bottom there so not surprising. What's really sad is he seems to be letting Paul Ryan control his domestic agenda, if he simply kept to the Bernie-Sanders-esque promises of his campaign he'd be looking at massive reelection in 2020.
man if only there was someone, or even better a group of people trying to convince you of his ignorance, his stupidity, and his lack of any personal conviction I mean you really can't be blamed, no one could have seen this coming :/
I'm sure the conspirators are scrambling to tie up the loose ends, the article has probably been edited or deleted.
never change not that you could

Of all the things to hate trump for, you hate him because he didn't keep his campaign promises. Sorry man, you don't get to come to our camp. Your views haven't changed, you just realized that not even trump is crazy enough to give you what you want. You're not a trump supporter, you're actually worse.
I'm sure the conspirators are scrambling to tie up the loose ends, the article has probably been edited or deleted.
Stop editing your posts, Whoaly, just a moment ago this said "Postal's a wrinkled scrotum". I'm almost a hundred percent certain that this is a true fact.
I wonder if the Trump administration will ever wake up and understand that they have not only a massive legal crisis on their hands, but also a massive political crisis, because their public relations have been irrevocably damaged and the administration basically has zero credibility now. Even if the investigation digs up no wrongdoing whatsoever, the sheer shadiness, lack of transparency, and overall appearance of guilt has had an extraordinarily damaging effect on Trump's presidency, and we're only a few months in. These people can't seriously believe they can keep up this smokescreen for 4 to 8 years.

Sort of like how he lost the 2016 election by a few million votes? Reminder, Donald Trump is a loser. He lost the election by 3 million votes lol.

You're right, I'm the kind of person who was kind of OK with the idea of Bannon being the secret puppet master. If anything I've become even more radical.

But that doesn't mean you start eating shit (elitism) you just find a flavor you like.
Whoaly, you're in a weird camp where you acknowledge that your opinions are irrational and willingly ignorant, yet you do nothing about it.
I never said my7 opinions were irrational, I said I had been led to take a stance that was inconsistent with my opinions, I now realize that that specific stance was wrong. I still think Trump winning was better than Hillary, but I no longer believe his Presidency, and especially the man himself will be any kind of wonderful thing. If anything Trump as a man will be something for me to study and learn from my mistake next time I choose who to support.
or maybe you realize that your conspiratorial fantasies are fucking retarded and that your ability to judge people's character is fucking awful
i think I knew deep down that Trump was a piece of shit, I just refused to see it, but I found his opponent so loathsome and his (false) promises and (pretend) positions so sweet I allowed myself to indulge in a little naivete about his intentions against my better judgement. [editline]11th June 2017[/editline]
The mistake being that he isn't doing enough crazy shit and you need someone even more radical than trump, you mean.
I'd say someone more honest.
If you support an even more extreme populist than Trump when the next election rolls around, you can officially count yourself as part of the problem. [editline]11th June 2017[/editline]
I'd say someone more honest.
You mean even slightly honest? Trump's an outright pathological liar.
i think I knew deep down that Trump was a piece of shit, I just refused to see it, but I found his opponent so loathsome and his (false) promises and (pretend) positions so sweet I allowed myself to indulge in a little naivete about his intentions against my better judgement. So in essence you are scared of an elitist globalist conspiracy but rejoiced at the idea Bannon the fascist could manipulate the POTUS to do his bidding. You're not even self-consistent, how can you expect anyone's actions - let alone Trump's - to be consistent with your agenda?
It's a stark choice between populism and elitism, populism comes in many flavors, some very bitter and leave a bad taste in your mouth for days after. You went from tasting shit to smearing it all over your body as well.
I don't want to, that's why I'm spending more and more time at RPG Codex. You're right, I'm the kind of person who was kind of OK with the idea of Bannon being the secret puppet master. If anything I've become even more radical.
Everything makes sense now.
If you support an even more extreme populist than Trump when the next election rolls around, you can officially count yourself as part of the problem.
That's like saying "you chose between ice cream and shit, but the ice cream ended up tasting like shit, so you better eat the actual shit next time"
That's like saying "you chose between ice cream and shit, but the ice cream ended up tasting like shit, so you better eat the actual shit next time"
That isn't even a coherent response to what I said. I didn't say how you should vote or should have voted in the past election, I said if you vote this particular way in the future, you are the problem. You somehow found some way to interpret this as an instruction on how you should vote. I'm concerned.
That's like saying "you chose between ice cream and shit, but the ice cream ended up tasting like shit, so you better eat the actual shit next time"
If Trump seemed like ice cream to you, you're delusional.
That's like saying "you chose between ice cream and shit, but the ice cream ended up tasting like shit, so you better eat the actual shit next time"
No, it's like saying you chose shit over ice cream and want to get even stinkier, fresher shit next time around.
So in essence you are scared of an elitist globalist conspiracy but rejoiced at the idea Bannon the fascist could manipulate the POTUS to do his bidding.
I seem to remember a time when we gamers were being relentlessly attacked by the mainstream media for making know our legitimate concerns about ethics in video games journalism. That "fascist" as you call him was part of one of the few publications that actually offered us a fair hearing while the others were attacking our very identity.

[editline]11th June 2017[/editline] You really think Bannon, Milo et al give the tiniest shit about ~ethics in video game journalism~? They were running articles about gamers being virgin losers before they saw a chance to harness the energy of a group of neglected adolescent men.
I seem to remember a time when we gamers were being relentlessly attacked by the mainstream media for making know our legitimate concerns about ethics in video games journalism. That "fascist" as you call him was part of one of the few publications that actually offered us a fair hearing while the others were attacking our very identity.
Does the word "opportunism" mean anything to you? There is absolutely no reason to owe Breitbart a single lick of loyalty just because they bucked the trend of ignoring one side of the Gamergate fuckfeud. He looked at Gamergate as a giant sea of useful idiots to be recruited to the alt-right, and it fucking worked. Plus, Bannon the man is quite different from Breitbart the publication. He's a racist nationalist. He has openly stated he wants to turn the US into a Christian theocracy. His goal is to dismantle the American state. He doesn't give a shit about gamers.
I seem to remember a time when we gamers were being relentlessly attacked by the mainstream media for making know our legitimate concerns about ethics in video games journalism. That "fascist" as you call him was part of one of the few publications that actually offered us a fair hearing while the others were attacking our very identity.
You mean the opportunistic fuckers who didn't give a shit about gamers until they saw this controversy as a way to shoehorn in their alt-right agenda? Do you seriously base your political opinion on fascist journos claiming to be on your side during the fucking gamergate controversy? You let SJW and alt-right journos bickering on the subject of video games influence your view when it comes to international politics and what would be best for the future of the world? This is even more retarded than I thought.
I seem to remember a time when we gamers were being relentlessly attacked by the mainstream media for making know our legitimate concerns about ethics in video games journalism. That "fascist" as you call him was part of one of the few publications that actually offered us a fair hearing while the others were attacking our very identity.
Here's the thing: I think the way GamerGate went down was bullshit. Someone fucked a journalist to get a good review on a game, people called her out on it, and suddenly every gamer is a huge misogynistic asshole. Just because Breitbart may have been "right" one fucking time doesn't mean that any of their other positions are tenable. How does acknowledging that GamerGate is bullshit make any other unrelated argument valid? By your logic, you should believe everything that I say, because I also think GamerGate was handled unfairly.
Breitbart fucking decredibilized the gamergate movement by painting a target on us and lending credence to the claim it was just a front for alt-right fuckers, yet you look up to them for that? How naive can you be...
