The idea of giving a terminal patient their dying wish isn't at all appealing? I suppose there are charities that would be more worthwhile in the long term, but there are people dying now.
That doesn't achieve anything, it's just kinda sad that someone's wish is to meet someone famous

Is the purpose of a charity to "accomplish something" or to alleviate suffering?
As for it being sad, that's your opinion. Obviously this person thought it was good enough to request it, and as long as they liked it, isn't that what's important?
Unfortunately, Metallica received a leukwarm reception.
The Make A Wish Foundation really is one of those worthwhile charities that everyone can relate to. I mean, the terminally ill get to live the day of their dreams before they bite the dust. They get that one more bit of happiness before they die, and whoever is involved, this case is Metallica, they get to go on knowing that they made someone's dream come true.
I dunno, I reckon it'd be rather to meet a band or artist I admire and chat with them for a few hours than getting some kind of toy or material possession that is almost pointless because I won't be able to use it that much.
That is a long sentence.

I have a friend that, because of the M.A.W. foundation, got a really nice hot tub for his dad, who had always wanted one. So that way whenever his family used it, they would think of him.
Also, your a dick.
