Wow, I almost feel bad, when I saw her drunk performance a week ago I literally said "This bitch ain't makin it to the end of the month." Real shame, she was great when her talent outweighed her problems. RIP.
She must have known that those drugs where addictive and harmful.
Aaaand you just missed the entire point. She did know. But she was addicted. That is the point of addiction.
She had it coming.
isn't that obvious?

You know what, never mind. I'm tired of repeating myself. Read this: http://learn.genetics.utah.edu/content/addiction/ It clearly explains the process of addiction, some underlying factors, and the brain chemistry involved in addictive behavior. Once again: educate yourself before you make posts about things you don't understand. [editline]23rd July 2011[/editline]
But if she hadn't taken it in the first place she wouldn't have gotten addicted
Once again, no one wakes up and decides to be an addict. No one tries a drug and says "I'm going to be addicted." When I had my first alcoholic drink, I did not think "I think I'll become an alcoholic." Neither did she. Becoming an addict is a long process riddled with complex psychological problems. Read my link. Stop making yourself look stupid and uninformed.

oh crap... This came out of absolutely nowhere for me.
Heroin is far more potent than alcohol, most people know this, you don't try a drug like that unless you aren't worried about getting addicted.
WOW You ignore my entire post and start talking about heroin? Who the fuck even mentioned heroin? It was only one of many drugs she used. Stop being so tunnel-visioned. And the process of addiction to heroin and alcohol are exactly the same. And you didn't even try to learn about addiction. I even gave you a source. Read the link, or stop posting your pathetically naive opinions.
I never even heard of her until the news.
I read your former post, you just cannot compare alcohol to most drugs, since it usually comes in low concentrations, so drinking one glass of say, vodka per day will not make you alcoholic, whereas snorting crack, shooting heroin and what not will most likely get you addicted
Still not reading the link, still actively refusing to educate yourself, still posting ignorant opinions. And yes, I can compare alcohol to most drugs, because it is the same process. And since you said "snorting crack," I'm just going to leave it at that. You're a fucking idiot and understand nothing about drugs or addiction, nor are you willing to learn. So stay in your cave and I'll stay away.

Because as I see it, if you don't take a drug you can't get addicted to it.
Oh god I only just found out now. Surprised I never came across this earlier as I was a fan of amy.. I did see it coming though, especially after her stage performance a while ago.
So you're saying that even if you don't take a drug you can still be addicted to it? Because as I see it, if you don't take a drug you can't get addicted to it.
No. No, I'm not saying that all. In fact, I never said anything even close to that. On top of being unwilling to learn anything, you're also very bad at reading comprehension apparently.
First horse to die of a drug overdose
No. No, I'm not saying that all. In fact, I never said anything even close to that. well shit
And nothing of value was los- Oh, who cares anyway..
Still her own fucking fault for getting addicted to it in the first place.
I bet you're the kind of person that blames the poor for being poor.
I bet you're the kind of person that blames the poor for being poor.
Disregard what I said earlier, I was in one of those moods again...
Looks like there's some debate as to whether or not she's a true 27 Club member. Heh, Wikipedia's 27 Club article was edited more than Amy Winehouse's article today. :v:
I don't listen to her music. But to deny she had talent or atleast one hell of a powerful voice would be silly.
She had an AMAZING tracklist, a good addition to music she was.
I don't feel sorry for her at all. It was only a matter of time.
+1.
I don't listen to her music. But to deny she had talent or atleast one hell of a powerful voice would be silly.
Indeed. It's a shame she died, but with her life style, the odds of her dying were high. Then again, it's that self destructive nature that probably lent to some of her music. Such is art. And just an idle observation; my Facebook feed is packed to the brim with statuses about Amy Winehouse, yet there wasn't one status about the Norway attacks. Just seems a little odd to me.
Because I'm trying to get your opinion on this out of you, all you've done so far is state that I "don't understand addiction"
There is no opinion. Addiction is a disorder. There are scientific explanations. I linked you to them. You refused to read them.
Tragic, but seems oddly fitting. She'll be remembered for a long time now, rightly so.

I've heard some of her music and its pretty good. She was pretty too so it sucks that she'd died at 27.
